For me, I've been a kpop fan since 2008 but only started collecting album in 2020 after I got my first salary. After watching your photocard collection videos I started to get into photocard collecting. I just kept all my pulls & buy the pc that I wanted. Even though my pc collection is small I'm really satisfied with them 😊
Even though its an uncomfortable topic I appreciate you answering the budgeting question. Its a lot easier to stay on top of collections by planning ahead if possible so it was useful hearing how you do it :)
I am a collector and a multistan so it gets pretty expensive. Much like you I take a percentage of my monthly paycheck and put it into my savings account that is specifically setup for comebacks, merch and concerts. I'm lucky to have a great job that I love and it pays well so I'm able to put aside a decent amount each month so I never have to worry about being able to afford the things I buy.
My parents must have spoiled me rotten because I was very heavy into pen-pal ing back in the 90s and I've trade so much Backstreet boys merch LMAO to the point that I've got mail from a lot of countries, I've got a minimum of 20 letters a week, then we transitioned to email, then to MSN messenger etc...yep I'm old

As a thorough Minhee collector, he can be SO EXPENSIVE 🫠🫠🫠 I double bias Minhee and Woobin and collect a few Woobin equivalents and the discrepancy between their pricing is foul - Minhee is sometimes 10+ x the price of Woobin 😭😭
I want to start hosting group orders at some point in the next year or so, but my plan is to start very small. I think (at least for some places) when you pre order enough albums, ( for example for skz if you get 8 albums) you get the whole set of pobs ( but I could be wrong) so think I could just do that to start.

As someone who has co hosted gos I have a friend who goes to college w me (we live an hour apart though) who let me uses their kaddy to host for stuff!! We like a lot of the same groups so it makes sense to ship our go stuff together lol. It works really well as I love packing/sorting and hosting gos and they get proof from it :)
Nah for regular photocards unless it’s the first album I’ve never paid over $5 for a Cravity card even with produce boys though serim prices starting to look crazy recently
I thought it was just me who watches small business videos without owning a small business!!! 🤣 I think it's because as kpop traders/GOMs, it's kinda like having a small business as a hobby. I love packing orders but I'm not creative enough to make my own products.

there are some etsy stores that sell a5 pockets that fit normal-sized sleeves!!
