Simon & Elaine, you brought back more memories for us with this section of the SWCP. When we did it we wrongly crossed the Torridge Bridge! We realised our mistake back in the self catering cottage we were staying in and had to go back to Bideford to cross the correct bridge and sections either side of the Torridge Bridge (the next morning) just so we didn’t miss any bit of the SWCP off! Glad to see you back on the trail, Tim & Selina
good use of the old rail car turning it into a little cafe/restaurant, cool walk thru the town of Appledore, nothing better than an ice cream to finish a day of hiking
I’m loving watching your videos. We holiday in north Devon all the time but never done the coastal path it’s now something I would like to do. Hockings don’t do mr whippy but the ice cream is amazing!😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment and support...Elaine was adamant about Mr Whippy but yes, we've heard great things about Hockings ice cream, will definitely try it next time...
The stone signs are gradient indicators for the railway. The number shows how steep it is and the angle shows whether it's uphill or down. The one at 5'30", if you walked from left to right, means you have just climbed up a 1 in 5000, now stood at the peak and about to go down a 1 in 1303 slope..
Its a beautiful and refreshing nature enjoy and have a great day
Good to see you back on the path. Lovely video.
Looks like a beautiful town, love the views of the sea! 11 miles is a fantastic walk! I love the scenery its so pretty 😊
Great to watch this. This stretch is on my list after finishing the whole Cornish path 😊 Lovely to follow you on your walks 👍😊
Thank you, very kind. More to come soon, regards, Simon
This looks so picturesque, lovely ambience! That bridge looks so impressive!
Thank you very much, kind regards, Simon
Lovely. Great to thank the bus driver.
Yep, the bus drivers in Devon and Cornwall are brilliant...
Thanks for taking us along for this nice walk my friend 😊👍
Thank you too, regards, Simon
The muddy trail was muddy and mild. The Tarka trail was a little 'otter.
Underrated comment 😂
Like it!!!!!

Aaah, thank you both, some parts of the SWCP can be confusing, easy to take the wrong route sometimes!

The ocean, monkeys and even a cafe train... oh and mud the coast path being a bit soggy. Great walk about town !!
