  • A robust process to investigate all crimes against our officers and staff, combined with an enhanced welfare package to support those affected, has been launched by Lincolnshire Police working with the Police Federation.
We will put the employee at the centre of the investigation, treating them as a victim of crime and continuing to thoroughly investigate offences including physical assaults, sexual assaults, racial abuse or hate crime.
Latest figures show that there are more than 400 assaults on officers and staff each year in Lincolnshire, with kicking, spitting and biting among the most frequent types of attack. More recently, we have seen incidents of coughing and spitting at our officers during the Covid-19 outbreak.

I'm so glad Pete is OK and never got stabbed and i hope this incident hasn't affected his work and home life to much.
I also hope the guy who did this got a lengthy jail sentence, attacking police is just about as low as you can get, no matter what people think of the police without them this world would be a living nightmare and people seem to forget that police officers are just the same as us their doing an extremely dangerous job that the majority of us wouldn't last 5 minutes doing so just be more respectful to them because they are the first people you would call for help.

Respect to you. This is just like when that constable got attacked in London when he pulled over a van and got slashed with a machete all over no tax. Suspect was arrested though

how about the many civilians who are assaulted by corrupt Lincolnshire Plod? No one wears a thin blue line for Sarah Everard, do they in the 'force'?

Should all be armed with tasers. They should also all have access to firearms.
Also, why did he have to sit in an A&E waiting room injured, in view of the general public? Poor procedure

i wouldn't trust corrupt Lincs Plod with a sponge let alone a weapon. Do we forget Sarah Everard so quickly?
