I have recently purchase Louis Vuitton Iena MM and wanted to compare it to my Totally MM. I hope this video helps those of you considering purchasing either of these bags.

Thank you for comparing these bags! Your video is very helpful to me. I purchased & returned a pre-loved Iena MM. I love Iena’s design, but ALL 4 corners had holes due to puddling. I’m purchasing a Totally now because of the structure. I hope your bag holds up.
Angela Voss wow, that’s awful about the holes in the corners! I sold the iena mm tote because I was too worried about the corners to enjoy it. Mine was in perfect condition though. If it wasn’t for the fact that I kept forgetting which outside pocket I put my phone, I would have kept the totally mm too! ❤️❤️

@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie I have a bag charm (LV stamped luggage tag) hanging from a gold square by a pocket where I keep my phone, it really helps to always know what pocket my phone is in, if you ever get it again just an idea:)
Jenya I don’t normally wear a bag charm, but I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! Totally mm is a very well made bag! If I get it again, I’ll definitely get a bag charm or a luggage tag to indicate which side has my phone! Thanks sweetie! ❤️❤️
Thank you for your comparison. I love the Totally, and wonder why it isn't more popular? It makes more sense and is structurally sounder than a Neverful - in my humble opinion. Keep up the good work!😀
If it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't remember which side pocket I put my phone, I would have had no problem with the Totally. In fact, I think that the details and craftsmanship is much more for the Totally than the Iena (especially with the front 2 pipings and the side pockets). I love the Totally much more than the Neverful especially with the extra security of the zipper. Thanks for watching and your encouragement!
Nice review. I put a light liner in my Iena and it keeps the bag from smushing down.

I just wasn't sure about the iena and at the time there was only another fab review from JustJennifer. SO, I just bought a preloved totally MM because I have love hate with NF's (i have ikat pink and love the all weather tho!) I went preloved cause I like the function BUT I may have to do this iena and thank you for a FABULOUS review on this bag... finally ;)

I agree! It was made so well and with great construction and material! I, sometimes, regret selling it. But, it used to drive me crazy trying to find my phone in the outer pockets -- I always had to check both pockets -- it's a stupid thing to be irritated, but there it is.... Thanks for the review. What is the Strap drop length between the 2 bags? Does one have a longer drop than the other for fitting over a winter coat?
Sorry to respond so late! But, the strap length is a little longer by about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch on Totally. To the middle of the strap buckle, Totally is 11 inches and Iena is about 10 1/2 inches. To the top of the zipper to the top of the strap is 10 inches on the Totally and 9 inches on Iena. So, Totally has slightly longer strap length, but I don't notice the difference in my daily use.
I really wish the Iena MM had a GM, the handles are longer or it came with a crossbody strap. I looooooove looking at the Iena MM. It is gorgeous! I almost got a Totally MM before.
I love the Iena MM. I know what you mean about having it in GM..... But, don't you have the Tournelle MM? I just saw your review on your May favorites, and I can tell that you love it, but that it's not exactly perfect.... I almost bought the Tournelle MM recently, but at the end, decided against it. I saw a used one with the end tabs curled up (kind of like the Totally in Vachetta tabs used to do) and I just wasn't sure about the sharp upward shape at the end. I love the zippered front pouch. The only thing about the Iena is the corners..... mine is perfect, but I'm paranoid about the wear of it and I don't use it much due to this. So, now, I have it for sale. :-(. I've been using my Longchamp Neo Le Pliage. Worry free, although I wish it had a little more compartments and had a front pocket...... I do absolutely love my Iena MM though....... I do have the Tournelle MM, I wouldn't mind having a similar bag though. Oh no! Especially when you have the Damier prints, the corners can show wear faster than the monogram for sure. You should just still enjoy it though. Although, this is why I don't get Damier prints anymore. It just wears the canvas faster. And you can't repair canvas, just the leather. That's too bad. I prefer bags with a shoulder strap or crossbody strap option.

I don't have either bags anymore since I sold the Totally to get the Iena MM and then I sold the Iena MM to buy a Petit Noe NM. But, if I recall, I think there were about the same weight and the leather flaps on both sides were similar. I'm sorry that I'm not any more helpful...... I have the Iena for 2 Years and haven’t had any problems with the corners.
I got too scared with corner wears with LV Graceful having issues! Ugggg!!! I was too scared of the wear to enjoy it, so I sold it. It is the prefer tote. I sometimes regret selling this bag.... I’m glad to know that you’ve had no issues! ❤️❤️
The only thing I’m not crazy about is a couple of small things. The zipper and the material of the bag. The fabric picks up every fuzzy it can . The zipper is a bad design. I have a person organizer also that helps . It has a zipper so I can leave the main zipper open.
@@elizabethjones2902 wow. I've never had any issues with zipper...... I wonder if they can make it smoother for you. I've taken in one of my zippered LV and they did something to make it much smoother......

It was in great shape. But I didn't use it every day. I sold it after a year of use because the corners worried me. However, I miss the bag. It's one of the most convenient tote bag I had..... :-(.
We’re you able to use a LV bag charm on Iena when you had it? I’m now looking preloved mkt since they discontinued & I really want a zipper tote but I remember trying Iena in store & there didn’t seem to be a spot that my LV heart charm could fit on. The gold pieces that attach bag to handles are smaller than totallys & I think my charm wouldn’t fit on there, lay flat or something like that. I haven’t checked her history but if you found a fabulous LV tote that is similar, please let me know. I’ve had no luck in that regard unfortunately. Everything that’s out there either doesn’t have a zipper or only has a zipper within inside of portion of the bag. Thanks as always! 🙏
Sorry Shannon, I just saw your comment. I don't like to use bag charms because I'm afraid it's going to scratch or damage the canvas. I sold my Iena because I was worried that the corners were going to wear out since it's sharp and pointed - so, I was too scared to use it and sold it before it got any damages. I think, if the corners stay intact, Iena is the best design for a luxury tote.

Im going to Scotland on vacation (I’m from the US). Do you think you saves money by buying in Scotland? I have looked at the prices on the UK website but I’m not sure if that includes VAT and how much VAT I would actually get back.
I definitely saved money buying it in Scotland! I think the websites include tax -- but I'm not so sure.... There's a administration fee, so, it's not the full 20ish percent refund. I think I got somewhere around 13-15% back, but I'm not so sure. The other thing to note is that I got charged duty fee when I entered the U.S. Each person gets $800 tax free (or more if you include everyone in your family). So, anything above $800 I got taxed (I think at 3%). In any case, I saved money on my LV by buying it in Europe! Have a terrific time! It's a beautiful country!!!
do u see any worn out on the pointed bottom corners? Do you hv any purse with similar bottom and how often do you use your iena?
I don't see any worn out areas on the pointed bottom corners. However, I don't use this bag every day. I use it about 2-3 times per week for work, and I usually leave it by my desk. I love the size since I can fit my laptop and papers with ease. Also this is a new model, so I can't say how it would wear over a long time. I don't think a good indication of wear and tear unless you use is almost everyday for at least a year. I think giving a wear and tear or talking about how a purse is showing hardly any wear without disclosing how often it's been used is very misleading. So, my impression of this bag, so far, is that I love it. I have a Speedy 30 Samorga organizer to protect the interior and to give me more organization (although I probably don't need it), I put a lot of things in it including my laptop and notebooks and the straps are still holding up well. That said, I can't say exactly how it would wear with prolonged daily use. I'm sorry that I'm not so helpful......

I think LV will repair it if it happens within the first year. Afterwards, I'm not sure if they'll repair it or if they'll say that it's wear and tear. I think it may also depend on whether they get a lot of complaints about the corner wear and decide that it's defective. One SA once told me that there's no 1 year warranty on any LV products and everything is based on customer's use pattern. So, I think the jury is still out on this bag. It hasn't been out long enough to really know what the wear and tear is. That said, I'm really happy with the bag now despite the thinner canvas. Perhaps the more flexible, thinner canvas will prevent it from getting too much wear on the corners..... who knows..... Thanks for your question and watching my channel!
Hi Maggie, did you keep both bags? I sold my Totally MM & am regretting it because the Iena feels so flimsy, way thinner than the Totally & just feels cheaper. The puddling of the Iena drives me nuts too. I’d love your feedback. I’m now on the hunt for a new or like new Totally Mm. Kicking myself for selling it. 😥
I sold both! I didn’t like the totally because I never knew where I put my phone. I know that I’m nuts. :-). I sold the iena because I was afraid to use it since I saw Graceful corner with a hole and I was afraid my Iena would have it too. I think the totally has much more detail than iena with the pipings in the front - it just has more going on. I agree that the iena feels more flimsy than the totally. I used a bag organizer inside my iena and it worked great. I used a speedy 30 organizer. If it wasn’t for me worrying, possibly unnecessarily, about the corners, I think the Iena was a much more functional bag for me. How about trying a bag organizer? Karla V. I'm wavering back and forth. I love the Totally, but I don't need so many tote bags. I love the front zipper pocket of the iena for easy phone access and am now using a speedy 30 Samorga bag organizer in it to give it more structure.
Totally mm was to big for me.felt. To tall. Do you think iena feels a bit smaller.i dont get to try on. Have to order online
I don't feel that Iena is any smaller than the Totally MM. In fact, it feels about the same to me, although Iena fits more in its main compartment. It's a great tote which can fit a lot, but if you normally don't carry too much, and feel like the Totally MM is too big, Iena may also feel too big for you.

Mary Townsend I currently have Speedy b 25 in ebene. I’ve had monogram b 25 and ebene b 30 and empteinte b 25. Speedys don’t sag except at the bottom since it’s not reinforced (not Old empteinte -doesn’t sag at the bottom). Iena has been okay with my bag organizer and Speedy b 25 doesn’t sag with bag organizer too. Hope this was helpful!

@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie what cons would you say are in the iena? thinking of getting it but im getting worried as i dont want to baby it. not gonna use it for a work bag, just for travels which would be 5-6 times a year and the ocassional spa day etc.
chippylover99 it’s a fantastic style. I was really worried about the corners since it’s folded and is sharp. It reminded me of Graceful and my Longchamp tote where you, often times, see a hole or wear at the corners. I don’t know if iena has this problem but it’s the same concept and design. But if you’re only going to wear it occasionally, I would think it’ll be okay. I would get the receipt if possible so that you can take it back to LV if there’s quality issues. I just didn’t want to deal with anything which they may say is wear and tear. Hope this is helpful.... ❤️
