Hello hello! Today I am SO excited to be sharing with you 10 baby girl names that we love... but won't be using! Many of these names are timeless and classic (perhaps even vintage!) names for a baby girl that will grow up with her well. I am expecting my first baby - a girl! In just two months, and picking the perfect baby girl name is hard! Choosing a baby name is a huge responsibility but I am so excited with the name we have chosen and I look forward to sharing it with you when she joins us! I am a teacher and I have an Amelia nicknamed Mimi and I adore it so much! her sister is Emalyn nicknamed Emmy so adorable
Congrats! I'm due in February with a little girl as well. We are naming her Addison. We are still trying to come up with a middle name which seems more difficult for us. I think it sounds timeless as well as Natalie. Our 8 year old Daughter is Natalie and we love that it means born on Christmas day even though she has a May Birthday. ❤

I love the name Gabrielle & I wish I had stood my ground on it. My mom didn't like it but years later said I shouldn't listened to her because it suited her perfectly. My daughter wishes I named her Gabrielle too! I would avoid trendy names because they become dated so quickly. I personally don't care for gender neutral names I like feminine names & there are so many to choose from.
I will add no matter what you choose when you see your child you may come up with something completely different. The right name may just come to you when you see her. When you hold your little girl you'll have a name that suit her. There is no way to say what she'll grow up to do so she may not end up in the corporate world though no matter her name it is all in the way she carries herself.
My daughter’s name is Bryn. She is 27 and I am still obsessed with the name.
Love Rowan for a girl but not for boy.

I can't wait to hear what you and your husband have chosen. My husband didn't want ah or uh at the end of the names lol. For example Mariah or Sophia.
My husband was on the same no "ah or uh" sounds at the end.... I am *not* on that team, which made it interesting haha

Definitely some beautiful names! I look forward to seeing what you actually name are. I have a Zachary David, and a Julia Jean Elizabeth. Zachary came first, and he was two and a half when she was born and when he was around 2 yrs old we decided to name her Grace and when we asked him to say her name if he could say grace he would go and say grace like the prayer. Lol. And he refused to actually say the name Grace lol. So we literally had to change her name. Lol.
And just for my experiences, I highly suggest that you don't try to put expectations upon her. I wanted a little frilly girl that wore makeup and nail polish and dresses and I ended up with a tomboy. Love her all the same with all my heart, but she is her own person. She's 21 now, and she only wore makeup on the day she graduated high school. But it was not for lack of trying. Lol.

Rowan sounds more masculine than even gender-neutral. Briar , no! I like Addison but not a fan of Addie for short. Which reminds me, Adalyn is pretty but still an issue about a nickname - Ada, Adie maybe? Well, it’s your baby, not mine 😍 Can’t wait to hear which name you go with.
I agree! I know there are girls named Rowan but it was too far into the masculine zone for me :)
My favorite girls names are: Diana, Christi, Julie, Charlotte Rose (My dog's name), Lily Rose (My other dog's name), Amy Rose. Boys names: John, Daniel, Joshua, Christopher, Luke. We had a boy 30 years ago and named him John.
Diana is such a lovely name! My husband has an Aunt Diane so for us if we were going to use Diana then why didn’t we use Diane and if we were to name the baby after his aunt then why not either of our moms? So we ruled out all Aunt names which for us also includes Katherine which is another name I love!
