Geez Kevin, I was scared you dozed off taking that first shot 😂😬. Good idea of going 10 shots, we can all sympathize with you re the trigger issue.. Thanks for another great video! You have a beautiful setup for your reviews! Great shots on the bell! Love it!!
I had one and gave it to my grandson. Found the same thing with the trigger. I use to collect the rare and off the wall stuff. Just had David Slade refurbish to like new my Impact Arms RM 100 with laminate stock. If you are not familiar with that model it is the Theoben Crusader just renamed after Theoben was sold. The new owner continued to assemble and sell all the rifles from the factory parts but since he didn’t by the name he had to rename them.
When the "old man" appears on my mobile phone on Saturday well after midnight, this "old man" knows that after watching another relaxing video it is urgently time to go to bed.
Love the bell Kevin. 😃 Unfortunately for us in Britain we are restricted to 12 Ftlbs without a license, that's about 345 fps and might not get out to 60 yards 😢
Kevin you have the sweetest, smoothest, voice on RUclips. After seeing you shoot this it's making me wish I hadn't bought that .22 break barrel last year. Great video.
muy buen video kevin, yo tuve una hatsan 135 en cal 22 y era brutal ,muy dificil de precisión y dura de cargar. enhorabuena por los tiros. me alegro verte otra vez.
Thank you very much for showing this rifle! That was a great group and impressive 60 yard shots on that "beIl." I love my Mod 135 (as shown in this video) and the Mod 130s, it's synthetic stock identical twin in terms of performance. The 135 is a beautiful heavyweight hitter in Hatsan "Turkish walnut" and nice checkering with adjustable cheek riser, but I prefer the 130S for hunting as bumps and bruises just bounce off that brute's stock! Most rabbits have just toppled over when hit! However, cocking it is a test of strength like trying to shoot the bow of Hercules! I'm smiling now when I manage, but the 135 and 130S will get the better of me one of these days! I guess that's the price to pay to fire "the world's most powerful break barrel" air rifle at approx. 35 fpe. Thanks again! I really enjoy your reviews, knowledge, and marksmanship!
KEVIN: I notice that as you zoom in for the trigger pull shots, you appear to be pulling from the first joint of your index finger rather than from your pad. I find that I have more sensitivity to the trigger by shooting from the padded part of my finger. Have you got a teaching moment for me as to finger placement on the trigger? I sure enjoy your videos. Thanks, Orv.
Have the same one in 30 also in 25 my favorite spring piston is R9 in 22. will do for the spring piston clean them up a little bit. Find a spot in my office. Definitely not doing any good in the closet. Take care. Good to see you.
Heavy caliber indeed,.. I enjoyed this, and no, I won`t go looking to buy a .30 caliber air rifle any time soon Kevin. By the way, your first shot at the 60 yard `bell ( I believe ) was very close to going straight through the arbor ( hole ) of the target, that would have been a good shot indeed. Thanks for the entertaining information!
Another great Video - but I wont be adding the Hatsan to my collection with a trigger like that. I've got an HW90 in .25 flavour and that's a sweet shooing rifle, but I think that's a chunky enough pellet for 12fpe. Keep up the great work Kev.
As I understand it, the European Hatsan triggers are for better than the ones made for the American market. I believe that it has to do with the length of the two main adjustment screws. I installed longer screws in my Hatsan 95, and itade a huge difference. Thanks for watching, my friend.
Only 23 food pounds of energy, normally produce this gun over 32, something must not work, one of the problems is the seal and the gas ram, but it's a nice gun. Congrats
Well Kevin you nearly did it again this Thursday out of twelve bids I put on at a nearby auction the only gun I won was a Hatsan Proxima in .25 it is a sort of copy of the Theoben SLR 88 the SLR 98 and the BSA Goldstar. It was the only bid I did not care if it won or not, but never mind it is pretty much a new gun in its box £ 150 plus commission. Now I could have sworn there was a Carnivore in the sale for £39 but no longer there, some one must have snatched it up. However there are two Webley and Scot Birmingham built Patriots going very cheap at £65 apiece. Anyone state side it would be worth paying the £400 transfer fees to have them shipped. Also a Theoben Rapid 7 in .22 fac for £250 also worth shipping . Rapids now selling at high values in the UK. It is a great shame hatsan messed about with the quatro trigger unit not sure which one you have but if it is the heavy chunky lever type it should be workable.
Would have been good to see what the new JSB's did on the chrony. Those stats you showed with the other pellet seemed a bit low (22 ftlb) esp considering you said they were having problems fitting the barrel. I've seen other videos where i think it was this model (may have been the 130) was consistently getting over 30ft lbs. However you made a fairly tight group for a break barrel.
Hi Kevin! It's sad how a bad trigger can spoil an air rifle that has the potential for good groups. Think .30 cal is a bit overkill too for a springer or gas ram. My HW80K in.25cal is also a beast with a lot of knock down power, heavy to cock but shoots great though i never tried it on more than 40 meters. Cheers my friend!
Thanks, Ron. Yeah, .30 is just a gimmick that sells airguns. Especially to Americans who typically are of the belief that bigger is always better when it comes to guns...😀
It's strange, their pcp's are tack drivers, but I've had four Hatsan springers, I can't hit a barn door with them...the Quattro trigger is no great shakes no matter what you do, it's no Record that's for sure.....but can be made OK I've stripped each of them and they are nicely designed internally, good spring guides etc, like a tuning kit...so it's inexplicable, they all seem a little oversprung, like car suspension breaking next to your head. Be good if they grabbed some Mustapha out of an engineering university and set him to fiddling with spring strengths and transfer port sizes to get the smoothness pinned down.
How someone thinks they can get good results without proper set up on the firing line is laughable.Your ergonomics suck and that is possibly the reason for the poor results on the target. Get situated and block up the rifle to present a better posture and then you will start getting better results. When you hunch over and bring your head down to the scope you will naturally not get a full picture in the scope to see the target without missing the bullseye. Just like wing shooting on flying targets or game, posture is very important to achieve hits reliably as well as a healthy neck and back. Keep your head up and keep both eyes open for both scope and open sights. Do you close one eye to throw a ball or rock? I'm 74 years old and have been shooting from the age of 6 and was taught by men who knew how to shoot and were alive which proved the point that if you couldn't shoot with accuracy you would likely starve or be eaten by a bear of cougar.
While he’s pulling the trigger…..A word from our sponsor.
😂
LMAO 😂
🤣😂🤣
Here in the UK with sub 12 ft lbs snails overtake these pellets 😅
Now thats a gun designed to ring that bell! Great video as always Kevin. Take care.
Mike Ellingsworth on RUclips can help with adjusting the Quattro trigger and safety switch issues. Dude knows his stuff.
Indeed he does. I'm familiar with his channel. I'll see what I can find there. Thanks very much, my friend.

Thank you, my friend.
Merry Christmas Kevin to you and your family. Thank you for another great year of videos, its appreciated. Take care.
Thanks, Paul. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well, my friend.
My three Hatsans .30 have great triggers!
Are you in Europe by chance? As I understand it, the European version had a better trigger.
I had one and gave it to my grandson. Found the same thing with the trigger. I use to collect the rare and off the wall stuff. Congratulations on an awesome rifle, Steven.
Still ringing in my ears Kevin, thanks for the video .
When the "old man" appears on my mobile phone on Saturday well after midnight, this "old man" knows that after watching another relaxing video it is urgently time to go to bed.
So,... You're saying that I bore you to sleep...? 🤣🤣🤣
@razor1962 Not at all, but then I also realize that I have to do annoying weekly shopping in the morning.😀
Love the bell Kevin. 😃 Unfortunately for us in Britain we are restricted to 12 Ftlbs without a license, that's about 345 fps and might not get out to 60 yards 😢
Yeah, a .30 cal. regulated to 12 ft lbs, is like dropping a twin cylinder engine into a Corvette.
Kevin you have the sweetest, smoothest, voice on RUclips. After seeing you shoot this it's making me wish I hadn't bought that .22 break barrel last year. Great video.
Thank you for another great video!
Really enjoyed the gong this time...

No, Orv. I always use the pad of my finger. It must me the camera angle. Thanks as always, my friend.
@razor1962 Thanks, Kevin. I wasn't trying to be critical, I was merely commenting on what I thought I observed. Thanks, Orv Hazelton.
@orvilhazelton4470 No offense at all Orv. I understand that it was intended to be helpful.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the info on JSB pellets! Will try in my 130!
I think that you'll see a marked improvement.
Thanks you for another great video !

Thanks, Ben. Much appreciated.
And people complain about the Webley Vulcan trigger 😂

Thanks, Steve. Always a pleasure, my friend
That pa ting will make ya smile
Great show, as usual. Hatsan guru Mike Ellingsworth can help you with the trigger creep. A merry Christmas to you and yours!
I know of Mike. He I indeed THE Hatsan guy. Thanks very much.
I'm surprised that the scope survived that rifle's action.
Time will tell, my friend...
i had to replace the factory scope rings because they just walk back the rail after about 10 shots.
The trigger is adjustable in every possible way. Just take it out and play a little with the hex key you get with the gun.
As I understand it, the European Hatsan triggers are for better than the ones made for the American market. I believe that it has to do with the length of the two main adjustment screws. I installed longer screws in my Hatsan 95, and itade a huge difference.

Great info, my friend. Perhaps someone here will jump on those Webleys.
@@razor1962 The auction house is Holts , I think they are in a position to arrange transfer to the states. or at least assist.

You're right. Another run over the chrono with the JSBs is in order. Thanks for watching.

Yes. They're a price point offering, however. It's up to the aftermarket guys to get 'em running their best. Thanks for watching, my friend.
It must be that gun ...the triggers are really good on mine considering the pressure held back.
If you're in Europe, that might explain the difference. From what I've been told, the European version has more trigger adjustment and is much better.
.30 cal is a lot of lead for a sub 12.
Yeah, I don't see a .30 being of much use when limited to 12 ft lbs.
Howdy Kevin!
Hi Nibs
Artillery hold off of hand works best on mine.
As it does with many springers
Not available in uk fac in .30
That's a shame.

I'm certain that you were taught well. However, I'm very pleased with my results and quite comfortable in my shooting style. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, Paul...
Too bad the trigger sucks.
There are workarounds, but I'm hesitant to try. There's an awful lot of force on that sear.
