Hello from Norway! Just got my triple score now and enjoyed your video. And I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay here in Norway on your holiday. Best of luck with metal detecting and your triple score 😁
Just bought a tripe score (and pointer) myself and it's my first detector so really grateful of your videos showing me what everything does! thanks Adam!
Nice nut, stainless steel and Nyloc as well. That American coin is called a 'stinkin Lincoln', a Lincoln Memorial Cent, the building on the back is the Lincoln Memorial Building. Good review and a good hunt.
Hi Adam, Love your videos, hope your vacation was fun and “recharged the batteries“! I’m a fellow Legend user new to MDing (mostly beaches in NJ, USA) for 7 months and liked seeing you with the new Score3 in action! HH
But does the bottle cap rejection cancel out the coins with the iron cores... We don't have them here in the US, but I know the UK and Canada do. That one cent coin probably has a zinc core (1982 and newer). If they spend too much time in the ground they disintegrate.
Hi Adam This might be a silly question but are the tones the same across the nokta range? Ie does a 2p show up as the same numbers on a legend as it does on the ultra.
Not a silly question. The VDI ranges on the Score and Legend are 1-60. On the Simplex range it's 1-100. Same range but the numbers will differ accordingly. The tone timbre is a bit different on the Simplexes but the Score and Legend are the same.
Hi Adam, great to see you back on the channel. An idea for a video at home. Why not run through your detector collection, showing pros and cons. Think people would be interested in what machine you had in the beginning to where you are today. Just an idea?
Hello again Alan, how's things , still unsure of what machine to go for, originally was going for the double score I noticed you get extras with it now, but the triple score is not much more expensive and it comes in a pack , which also includes a pin pointer and a couple of other things on top of the original pack, if I was able to use the settings on the triple i would go for it, what do you think. Thanks
The Triple Score is essentially the Double Score with extra settings. You can use it without touching the extra settings and learn them over time. So if you can get the Triple I'd go for it personally 🙂
Hi Adam, your bottle cap rejection test with the pound coin put to rest any fears I had re missing targets. In terms of pure hitting of targets, how close to the Legend do you think the Triple Score gets?
Hard to say for sure after just a couple of hunts but the sense I'm getting is that it's similar. Subject to being correctly set up, of course. Having said that, the Legend has more settings available so in certain circumstances the Legend will likely find targets the Triple wouldn't...but I'd think those occasions would be rare.
Thanks! The Legend will definitely give you a bit of an edge but the Triple Score is more than most people will ever need for that kind of hunting. Is it worth the extra just for the beach...possibly not. The upgrade from the TS to the Legend is mostly in the land based settings and features. Hope that helps!
@ Thanks for the reply, I took my at pro to the wet and it drove me bonkers! Just want a machine that is quiet and can cope with knee deep salt water and further up the beach. Thanks again!
Yeah, the Garretts just don't like the beach as much. On reflection I'd probably save the money and go for the Triple Score. It'll be a shallower learning curve from the AT and it'll do everything you need.
I’m still hesitant to upload the Beast mode changes to my Legend. I like the programming of it from before the update. But I hear you and others talking so highly about it that I want to ask: Is it so much more powerful or adept that it is silly to avoid updating my machine? I feel like I have really good luck with the Legend “as was”. Maybe I am just getting old and lazy.😅
Beast mode is an extra mode, separate from the other modes. It's there for specific purposes. Obviously updating is up to you. If you're happy and want to stay, no worries. But any future updates will be based on the current software version so if you update in the future it'll be included. I haven't had any issues with the latest update...if anything the machine feels more solid and responsive.
What's really strange with this machine is that some people find it chatters a lot, especially on M1 , whilst others don't. A lot of people are having issues with this machine. I myself have bought this machine and am finding it seriously chattering on every setting. Seems to work well on RUclips videos, everyone I met on digs (experienced detectorist) is struggling with the constant noise and false signals.
I've seen some making similar comments, althougu it is a minority overall. Almost everyone with issues who I've discussed it with has come from a single frequency machine and expecting this machine to behave in the same way. A few are neglecting to properly noise cancel and ground balance. Some have simply forgotten to turn their phone off...both of which are easy fixes. Some have updated the machine but forgotten to do a factory reset...or haven't done it correctly. Otherwise, you really need to spend time with it and get used to how the machine behaves. Usually finding the right balance of sensitivity, recovery speed etc. is the key. All the machines are the same. If it's working for most (and it is for the majority) then the few who are having issues will mostly just be a case of taking more time to learn the device better.
I haven't heard any issues as yet and I'm pretty tuned into the social media sites. I'm going out for the first time with the new update on Sunday so I'll see what's what 👍
@@DTEKTSUSSEX look on the nokta score forum, we've been in touch with nokta about this, we've tried 1.1 and 1.2 in field m1 too sparky , can't get it stable, we've tried everything even ground suppression no joy!

Adam you should have mentioned the accupoint has replaceable tip unlike most others. Welcome back we missed you .
Thanks Brian. It has a lot of features I didn't mention...I figured the video was long enough already 😅

Can you try field mode m1 please, see how you find it..?
Check out the next video I made after this one. That's exactly what I used.
Love it. Very stable and gets the goods!
