Before a Bush is replaced, it needs to be soaked in engine oil, because the Bush is porous, and thus, soaks a, lot of oil, and will last very long. Preferably the Bush to be soaked in engine oil overnight.

With the bush failed the starter slipped and made a grinding noise we’re it did not engage.
