I just placed my order since it's on sale for Black Friday. I was thinking of upgrading the motor since I usually do for my road cars but after watching your video, I think that's going to be plenty. Hopefully it does well on the clay we have here in North Texas.
That looks so cool and I think one to buy for the collection for sure. the speed of this one cought me out after watching the Landfreeder Quadtrack, it does seam like it has more speed from what I can see.. I just put these tracks on a CC01 and that was a realy intresting build but I would love to see a Tamiya king yellow G6-01 build with these tracks :) Yes it would be expensive but it would look amazing and what a build it would be!
Its not a good crawler i tried my 6x6 version all drooped out and everything but the motor being where it is constantly gets hung up on rocks, also tracks are bad for crawling in general, better for sand and loose surfaces
I like it a lot. Have you gone in mud or water!. Or flat out on asphalt? I have a TRX4 BLAZER I want to install a track set on. But it wants a high power high output steering servo. With a boost module.. And there's a choice of short paddle treads or long paddle treads. I'm trying to figure what's best. Of if I need the servo up grade at all.
You did a great quick overview of the car. It looks great and looks like a lot of fun. It appeared to be more stable than the version with tires. It's a true comical vehicle. I kept thinking of Yosemite Sam behind the wheel chasing Bugs Bunny.
Hi, i am a huges tamiya Wild Willy 2/ comical buggy's fan...and now the GF-01 Chassis, Toyota, Dump Truck, Hot Shot, and the TR. And now this beast ,its awsome. Love your video👋😎👍
I unfortunately don’t have anywhere to run a FG car. I actually have a full rack of 1/5 HPI and Losi cars. Would love to run them, Just no place left to do it.
Not sure what, exactly, be to call this...other than, maybe, "interesting". Speaking of 'Tamiya Track Units', I'm preparing to build a CC-02 Unimog with Tennis Track Units.
I think tamiya’s are something you have to own to like. They have a ton of cool looking trucks but They are super expensive, have really stupid designs and (from what I’ve heard) are over all just kinda junky lol. Definitely more of a nostalgic kinda deal.
Yeah, they're more of a take it or leave it. I built my first TT02 rally version a while back and the plastics and overall setup leave a lot to be desired. You have to upgrade a fair bit of stuff to get it to an acceptable level. Building it was fun but it's probably going to be my only Tamiya kit I buy from them. I see Tamiya kits more of a shelf queen than and RC you constantly use.
Man if you could ditch the goofy body and replace it with something that looks like a cobra vehicle and be able to put a classified figure in the seat that would be awesome.

I wanna see what this can do in some deep snow!
Looks really good! I was not expecting how fast it is! Great video!
I'm building one right now, just trying to decide between the grousers or the standard tracks.
That looks amazingly beefy! I know it's a different class, but it looks so much more substantial than my old tracked TRX4...
Your kidding
@@uan588 My kidding what?

This is very impractical!
As are all RC cars!

Very nice Greg. That Toyota Pick up is awesome. I love my wheelie popping one. I have one nib too. Might have to get one. I love the QuadTrack too.
lets goooo! maybe a brushless upgrade will make this land Cruiser fly lmao
That’s 1 tough looking little Toyota. 💪🏼 love the tracks.
Be interesting to see those tracks on a MF-01x!
How tough or reliable are those tracks tho? Take a beating?
Very high center of gravity!
It’s cute 😊
This seems to be fun and has high running performance.💪🎶👍
i can't wait to grab a couple sets to make a half track from my g6-01
The tracks have a gear reduction built in. You'll need to disable the front wheel drive or it will be trying to pull the tracks forward.
@@DorriWilliams i have portal boxes from the tr version so that should help and front overdrive isnt so bad where ill be driving it
M05 VW!! Great review BTW 👍
Love it!
Awesome
Wild Willy 2 with tracks ...........anyone ??
wITH THE TRACKS BEING SO CLOSE TOGETHER ITS ALMOST A TANK WITH DIRECT STEERING.
Hello from southeast alaska how's it going today bro
I was wondering...... Why is no one reviewing FG Modellsport cars ?
I like the electric monster beetle;-)

Like the overall looks but that chassis really looks terrible, like a cheap toy RC.
