@@grey4509 that would explain why he was trying to get him to send a friend request then because it would immediately give him an IP address at least that's how it works on Xbox and Playstation when you pull an IP address it's the same when pulling an IP address from a phone if you get a text message

You can actually pull IPs easily if someone joins a server in GMOD, I made a GMOD server that was up for a couple days and when someone joined I could see his IP, even the large GMOD servers do that, for example, Civil Gamers, in their staff handbook, as a senior admin you can see people's IP.

It's kind of scary how some of these games like GMOD or VR chat have servers advertising towards a younger audience like this one, a fun cinema to hang out with friends! Or things like Five nights at freddy's RP! It's the perfect place for these predators to fly under the radar and look for victims. I know most people on these servers are older guys, but there are definitely a lot of kids that could end up in a really messed up situation. Thank you for covering this.
