That's the most impressive music room setup I've ever seen in someone's residence, and it also puts most music stores to shame as well. It's so well organized and so clean. I just about tapped out when you showed the cleaning station room. I mean, it's just too perfect. Very cool space and setup you have there. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a neighbor that can make me a bunch of shelving units.
Surfing RUclips saw your video from 9yrs ago, had to comment. My favorite singer for ever is Sam Cooke. Have ALL his LPs. Speciality, keen, SAR, and RCA label. 95% 1st pressing. 60s -90s rnb, soul, and Doo woo. Collecting 40 yrs, enjoyed your video.
Love it, great setup! Love the room just for cleaning. I hate having to drag out my ultrasonic all the time. It would be nice to have it always set up like yours, maybe some day... 🎶🤘🎶
Love what you've done with your Cd's Brandon, very similar to mine. Makes the wall look so awesome. What I do slightly different to yourself is, when I split out artists with 5 or more Cd's I place them at the end of their particular genre, with there owner divider. I like this better, because if all individual artists with more than 5 cds are together they are back in alphabetical order. For me it ruins the pleasure of going to individual genre's for my music picks. You definitely have a music home not room, love it 👌 Peace Andy H
That is a good approach. I actually go back and forth with that just to change it up from time to time. Right now if you look at the cd racks on the right side those are all individual artist with their own divider and then my metal and glam is set up as you described yours is. I think my next move is going to be to do your approach with my vinyl. I was considering doing it last night but was like nah....to much work for this evening lol. I really find that changing up where genres are located and how they are arranged really does have an impact on my listening habits....and it just gives you and excuse to dive into your collection and just touching and looking at things lol.
Sweet sassy molassy, is that a minty OG Barbara Lynn on your wall? What a beauty. Your room tours are always inspiring. Love the 45 boxes. What did you use for the dividers in your CD collection? They look kind of similar to book dividers, but shorter that I use in the library. Great organization. Take care ~ Cindy
LOL Thanks so much. Those dividers are just basic plastic dividers just like the vinyl ones. I actually got a ton of them from a FYE that went out of business lol.
May i ask the dimensions of the cd shelving? 3 ft wide? how deep and how tall and the space between each shelf...very very very nice. Big Love From The Beautiful Cascade Mountains !!
The shelves are 7 feet tall. 13 rows each which are 6x6x24 inches so holds cds and cassettes well. For the cassette rows I put a piece of 1 inch foam pipe insulation behind them so they don't sit to deep.
You should do a video on your ultra sonic cleaner. I’ve been thinking about getting one but know next to nothing about them. Also I really like your guitar rugs. Pretty sweet.🤘🏻🎸🎶
As many times as I've seen that awesome room it still blows my mind with it's sheer coolness..here's another question, how does it feel to live in a better record store than I have in my town? And how much time do you spend picking people's Jaws and drool off the floor each day?🤘🤣🤘
The room looks incredible Brandon! Love those new shelves! Just curious, did you get that ultrasonic cleaner recently? I remember in a past video when you showed the spin clean you mentioned that you wanted to get an ultrasonic but maybe I missed you talking bout it after you got it.
I actually got it a few weeks after I did that Spin Clean/ How I clean records video. It is AMAZING!!! Can not speak highly enough of what that thing can do. Thanks for watching as always my friend!
Well since you asked what do I think you better have really good insurance 💰 that's the most music I've ever seen in anybody's collection but how is it possible for you to listen to all of that music. If I had that collection I would never listen to the same thing twice for the rest of my life 🎶✌️
Ha ha! Thanks for watching my friend I do have it insured. Outside of the Home owners personal property limits I also have a policy with State Farm that is specifically for vinyl records. Two rules that I do have is 1. I never keep anything I don't actually like. 2. I never put a record into my collection without listening to every single song on it. Now how frequently I go back to which albums can vary of course, but I've listened to every single piece. :)
Never get bored of looking at your music room Brandon, it's like a shop!! Love that homemade CD shelf at the back of the room, looks so awesome! And that's a nice space to have a little cleaning room, like a mini office! Nice one man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
STUNNING !!! Well done ! Wish I had the discipline... and I only have ~100 LPs... Struggling with finding the most practical storage solution for my very limited vinyl collection...
Screw practical my friend. Think more..."with the space I have what will be the most FUN way to store my records?". Get fun with it and just make sure every time you look at your collection you get a bit a joy. Whatever, and however, it takes to do that :) \m/
Not speaking of myself, but I feel that EXACT same way. I hear sooooo many people say "I listen to everything" but when you dive in....just because you like 1 Sade song outside of pop music doesn't mean you like "everything" lol. Not that I bash it because there is no wrong way to like music and I support anything people choose to or not to listen to. You dig what you dig and that is all that matters. It just sometimes it starts to seem like saying "I listen to everything" is the cool thing to say and used that way.
An amazing room and collection. A great use of space and nicely laid out. Your neighbour did a good job with those shelves. I like the use of that closet, basically turning it into another room. Thanks for showing us around Brandon.
Darn skippy!! LOL You just wait, there is an Enya poster at one of my local record stores that I have been trying to buy off this guy for a couple of years now. It will be mine one day and on the wall \m/ :)
Alright, I HAVE to ask...are you a Virgo? LOL!!! This has to be the most meticulous environment I have ever seen. REALLY outstanding set up, and VERY inspiring!!! A couple of questions, how much time you spend down there?, I'm guessing you are a fellow cellar dweller, if so, how do you approach temp/humidity control?
Ha ha! Nope, Cancer lol. I'm really kind of in and out of my music room. Sometimes is hours and hours and other times I may not come down the entire day. Really just play it by ear I guess lol.
Such a spectacular setting. Your collection is so impressive. Your passion is well ....impressive. Beautiful systems and atmosphere. Thanks for sharing. Greg
Im always amazed when i see you record room. so inspiring for someone basically starting out withe my small collection. Ive always wondered do you know what is your record /cd count, and do you think you will ever get to an end point eg-maybe run out of space. Once again very impressive.
You absolutely could not have found a better basement (assuming it is a basement) layout for such a music collection (or museum rather). As opposed to just being one open big open square room, you have some directions to it which gives you that depth for such displays. That room is what any collector wished they could have ;). And too, just seeing the step to your stair in that far end, what a perfect way to walk down into that room and escape from the world up top. Looks truly wonderful, that cleaning miscellaneous room is perfect too. You lucked out with a good neighbor to help you with that shelving!
Thanks my friend!! Yeah, I've had a number so different style rooms and each have had their pros and cons. I used to live in a loft where the main room was just one huge big room. I loved that I had more flexibility with creativity in that one, but this one is awesome too. I just feel like if you give me any empty room no matter how big or small I'll figure out how to make that thing a musical heaven LOL
Wow! Just Wow! Amazing room Brandon. Thank you for taking the time to show us the whole space! I also Love that you’re being so active with your videos! Lovin it. 🤙
OH yeah lol. I have a database that that is very precise. At any point in time I can tell you exactly how many Lps, 7", cds, box sets, and cassettes I have :)
Cool additions to your music room, Brandon. Love those new shelves in the back of your music room and the cleaning room. This is the Taj Mahal of music rooms!
Looks like a chill record store down there! I'd really like to get my cds on shelves like that, it looks like your neighbor does excellent work 😊 Thanks for sharing, it looks great!

Must be the best music room in the world, amazing
What a fantastic room 👌 I would never leave the house!
That looks amazing 😲
Your organization and dedication is truly amazing and inspirational. You should write a Vinyl Record Conservation Guide one day.
LOL Maybe someday!

Yeah that’s amazing.
I’ve seen a lot of music collection rooms, and yours is easily the best looking one. Wonderful presentation!
Thanks so much!!!
Very nice setup!!!
Love that cd wall, wish I had a neighbor like that, got some carpenter skills. Thanks for sharing.
Mind blowing and beautiful... Which one of your videos shows us your equipment? .. Thanks for posting..
Haven't really made one yet, but I'll see what I can do in the near future :)
Love it, great setup! Love the room just for cleaning. I hate having to drag out my ultrasonic all the time. It would be nice to have it always set up like yours, maybe some day... 🎶🤘🎶

Simply amazing! What a room and collection.
As a guy who also prefers flip bins as opposed to bookcases, I always enjoy your tours.
Just awesome !!!

This is unreal. Need to sell tickets to gain entry. Probably have theme rides in the front yard ha. Super cool man. Thanks for sharing
LOL Thanks my friend!
Would love to see your RnB and soul LPs for 60 - 80s.
I really like those record store vibes with those racks. ❤
Thanks so much!! :)
Amazing
You're a sick, sick man... Hope all is well. (Shawn0612)
Not as sick as you lol!! So great to hear from man!!! Hope all is going well!!! \m/
You should do a video on your ultra sonic cleaner. I’ve been thinking about getting one but know next to nothing about them. Also I really like your guitar rugs. Pretty sweet.🤘🏻🎸🎶
I will try to my friend as I am a HUGE fan of it. Tested and proven!! \m/

Ha Ha!!! Thanks Dime!!!
That looks like your own record store. Very impressive!
When it's cleaning day how does it take you and do you do it yourself ?
Actually not to long. I clean as needed, but keep thing pretty clean from week to week so no big "cleaning day" is usually needed lol.
Very,very brillant. What a fantastic room 👍👍
greetings from Germany.
Thanks so much my friend!

This is a truly remarkable experience. This is years of fun work, I'm sure. Is this a basement, or some kind of loft?
Thanks my friend! It's a basement.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thanks so much!!!
