Same. I'm actually happy with how the game is, as is. Extra updates whenever they come out are nice. But give me a couple of QoL mods and the game is fine right now.
I suspect there is a bit of business decision making where they will want to get the unstable release up in time fit the Steam Winter Sale and then we will see the full release by summer 2025

Honestly, with as much time as I've put into the game already and fun I've had with it, I don't mind waiting a couple more months. I got tons of other games to play in the meantime and I'm patient.
The one thing that has surprised me is that nobody has removed the zombies and created a role playing server
lol they probably will go on holidays dec 1st then come back around january 20th and well get it june sometime.
God, I hope it comes out this year, I'm almost twenty years old and I can't wait any longer for B42.

I just wish we could get some kind of update from the team. Either a "Yes we are still confident about 2024", a "not this year, we underestimated the scope of this update even before cutting it back", or even just a "we're still going to TRY from 2024, but plan on a Q1 2025 release".

I think for future updates they should release smaller amounts of new quality content instead of developing several overhauls and such at the same time. Hopefully with the new systems in place it will be easier for them to add some new stuff without it taking years.

That's literally the difference.
Beta test involves testing by other people than the Devs.
If it's only tested by the devs it's Alpha testing...even though some games are released in "alpha"

No hard feelings, creating a game is complex, it's normal that they take their time to make a proper development and not upload something broken.

I just dont like the new occupation system. Whos a blacksmith in 1993? In a 6 month old world, sure. But I like being a mechanic or burglar
There are a lot of blacksmiths even in 2024 tho. Maybe the history reenactment or backyard smithing?
