As a former Soldier(retired), I was taught that we respond with equal force when attacked, meaning you don’t use a nuke when someone fires small arms fire against you! In what world does 1,700 interrupted lives equal the death of 50k+ without consequence. Non-combatants are women , children, neutral countries and organizations but they are dying too! This is the result of blind loyalty and now the tethers of control are severed. In hindsight sight the US could have ended the war in Afghanistan before it began if we chose to use a nuclear bomb, but ethics and morality to an extent prevented that action. If these were American Soldiers behaving this way the jails would have a military unit on one cell block.

I'm really saddened by the whole situation in Gaza and what happened on October 7th, 2023....now my question is did the Palestinians not know that this would happen when they went into Israel to kill, rape and burn over 1,200 Israelis? As a former Soldier(retired), I was taught that we respond with equal force when attacked, meaning you don’t use a nuke when someone fires small arms fire against you! In what world does 1,700 interrupted lives equal the death of 50k+ without consequence. Non-combatants are women , children, neutral countries and organizations but they are dying too! This is the result of blind loyalty and now the tethers of control are severed. In hindsight sight the US could have ended the war in Afghanistan before it began if we chose to use a nuclear bomb, but ethics and morality to an extent prevented that action. If these were American Soldiers behaving this way the jails would have a military unit on one cell block.
