Hi I want to be a pediatrician as well. For a levels I want to do biology chemistry and psychology. But at my current school I can only do biology chemistry and sociology bc psychology is in both blocks of bio and chem. At another school they don't have blocks so I picked my 3 subjects however there is a possibility that I don't get in. I think that psychology will be more interesting but would sociology be a bad option???

hi! i recommend you do bio chem & psych because they’re all scientific a levels and fit well together - you will benefit from doing the three together so that’s a good combo to take up. i do bio chem & psych and i definitely recommend the combo. however as you’ve mentioned you may not be able to take it, so i think sociology would be a good alternative to psych as it’s the non scientific side of psychology. so the principles are the same but just from different perspectives. so it’s a good plan b, but just trust that you’ll get into the school that’ll allow you to do your three chosen subjects - focus on plan a and not plan b!
