Poland is one of my favorite countries! I spent 2 weeks exploring in September 2022. I even enjoyed a meal at that same restaurant.😅 I visited Gdansk, Gydnia, Sopot, Malbork, Torun, Krakow, Warsaw, and Zakopane! I was corrected by my Polish friends that Poland is considered Central Europe. Enjoy! 😊👍🏽

We love Poland. We bopped around there at the end of 2022 to see Christmas markets. Then went to Warsaw for New Year's Eve and that was incredible. We also got stamped into Germany when we had our layover and no one asked us any questions in Poland. 😂

It was interesting to see the immediate investments made - the pop seemed divided along age groups. It was such a shock to see you pop up in Warsaw - was not expecting that. Where did you find warm clothes in your one small backpack? !!! Slovakia is also wonderful - don’t miss Georgia! Architecture is stunning in all cities/ countries ! Tbilisi really was my fav - food, people, culture, atmosphere

I love Poland ! But I am surprised you go there in winter ! I was getting bread almost every morning and eating it with cold cuts ( sausage, ham, cheese ) from grocery stores. Budget friendly.
Wow, i could not believe my eyes. Is that one of those electric vests you have? Good idea for light travel. A wool coat also. I think it's 3 months. It is a good time to go. No later than March. The food must be great and walking in a cold climate makes it all the better. My favorite is the "Smart Wool" T-shirt for starters. Happy travels!

I’ve been traveling around Thailand for the last 3 weeks and it’s so darn crowded everywhere and prices are high. It’s a good time to travel outside until the crowds subside. I really enjoyed my weeklong motorbike ride throughout northern Thailand, the countryside is very similar to Colombia. I left from Chiang Mai which was full of tourists and I mean full. I travelled the famous Mae Hong Son loop including a stop in Ban Rak Thai Lake community ( spectacular but cold) Pai which was packed with backpackers from Europe, Mae Salong,and Chiang Rai, before riding to the Golden Triangle via Tha Ton for a foto and then high up in the mountains for a freezing cold night in Phu Chi Fa, down the mountains again to Phayao which is besides a beautiful lake (an amazing place, more riding through beautiful countryside back to Chiang Mai to return the motorbike. Now in Northern end of Pattaya beach, which surprisingly I really like as it’s more upscale than other parts. It’s not my scene but I did walk through soi 6 and omg what a great laugh that was, gotta have an open mind but some of the prettiest ladies in Thailand grabbing at you to get you into their host bar was a great ego boost if nothing else 😂 If I return to Thailand it’ll be during the off season…Thailand is overwhelmed with tourist over Xmas and new year with prices adjusted accordingly.

I performed a genealogy research project. Geneteka Poland was very helpful. I directly traced my father's side to an area around Lomza to 1722 (although historically the surname goes back to 13th century in the same voivodship). Living and fighting under various coats of arms through that time In 1849 The King gave my 5x great grandfather his nobility card and the coat of arms in my profile pic. The 90/180 day rule is a visa policy that limits the length of stay for non-EU nationals in the Schengen Area. The rule states that visitors (US citizens) can stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
If you hit the Schengen Zone limit - I suggest to travel to Serbia, Bosnia Herzegovina, UK and/or Ireland (there are a few more) for 90 days then you can reenter the Schengen zone for another 90. The rule is 90 days within a 180 day period.

Once you entered Germany you are in the Schengen area of countries which Poland is also part of. You can travel between them without getting checked until you leave to a non Schengen country.

I performed a genealogy research project. Geneteka Poland was very helpful. I directly traced my father's side to an area around Lomza to 1722 (although historically the surname goes back to 13th century in the same voivodship). Living and fighting under various coats of arms through that time In 1849 The King gave my 5x great grandfather his nobility card and the coat of arms in my profile pic. One day I will walk the land that once belonged to my forefathers. Enjoy your time!

The 90/180 day rule is a visa policy that limits the length of stay for non-EU nationals in the Schengen Area. The rule states that visitors (US citizens) can stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

If you hit the Schengen Zone limit - I suggest to travel to Serbia, Bosnia Herzegovina, UK and/or Ireland (there are a few more) for 90 days then you can reenter the Schengen zone for another 90. The rule is 90 days within a 180 day period.

Aloha Steve!Coldest month to travel to Warsaw is January 🥶you must be cold surely you could have got yourself a cheap down jacket , they can be compressed quite small and you probably have been able to squash it in that backback😅 Anyway enjoy your travels and make sure you go to Prague as you seem to be a culture vulture you will love it, take care buddy!

Once you entered Germany you are in the Schengen area of countries which Poland is also part of. You can travel between them without getting checked until you leave to a non Schengen country.
