Loved the episode, hate the month long break, it was time that Lana knew so I’m glad they revealed it, this freaking show is hitting home runs every week.
I just have not seen a show, that I feel keeps getting better and better, in such a long time. I love that they don't always take the predictable route. I was so sure Clark would never get to tell Lana because something would happen to her. I was pleasantly surprised to see he actually got to tell her and use the same levitating that he used to show Lois and the boys...those shots are amazing with the sunset and him in the air....loved it. I just think this was one of the best on the edge of your seat episodes. So many shows are predictable in the sense they don't give us what we want, there are no surprises and if there are they are super predictable. I keep finding myself surprised with what is going on. Even with just little things that aren't really a big deal, yet they give a fresh feeling because you didnt anticipate it. Sure some things are predictable but so much isn't. We knew Lois and her dad would get caught and Jordan would have to save them...but didn't anticipate how and that smirk on his face when he realized how fast he was, the proud look on Lois and grandpa's face, plus that freeze and upper cut....So good!!
I have a feeling time doesn't move differently on Earth Prime and Bizarro Earth. It's more that the space between the 2 Earths, or rather 3 if you include Nat and John Henry's Earth, is the phantom zone and that's what caused the time difference
Wow! Tonight's episode of Superman & Lois was a great episode! The action scenes were outstanding, and the interaction between the Kent family was great! I have missed their interactions so much! Tyler Hoechlin continues to show me why he is the best actor to portray Clark Kent/Kal-EL/Superman. Cannot believe that he finally told Lana his secret! She is probably the best person in Smallville to know that Clark is Superman! Only small problem with the episode that I had was Jordan almost telling Sarah his secret! And then, while Sarah is worrying about her mother, Jordan tries to give her a letter telling her everything?!?!?!?! Come on man!!! That was terrible timing!! Felt a little bad for Sarah, she had a right to be really worried about her mother, and then get upset after her mom was lying to her! Out of a 10 I would give it... 9.5 out of 10
there is no Bizarro Sarah, because Lana is with Morgan edge on the other world, also I think the portal is the main reason for the time delay, otherwise the timelines wouldn't line up like that.

@@ryuu5140 must disagree. Clark said something like " I won't let you hurt her" and evil Jon replied " I didn't think you would" and used her to set a trap for Superman and thus get to Jon. He had no way to know Bizzaro Lana was going to come through portal. Bizzaro Jon targeted Lana because he realized outside the diner she was important to Clark. Now I do believe he left her alive for a future merge.
Great episode. I was so annoyed with Jonathan for comparing his dad's Superman secret to his secret about Candace! And now that Lana knows, imo I think it should be up to her whether or not Sara should know, because this is a very big secret and she is still a(her) child.
I think Sara should know the only reason I say that is because they are all close to the Kent’s if anyone finds out Clark is Superman the villains are going to attack the kids friend. Knowing the secret makes you prepared for anything

I am reminded of the great philosopher, Melissa Etheredge, and her song "Silent Legacy". Remember how they taught you/ how much of it was fear/ refuse to hand it down/ The legacy stops here! Clark was taught to hide his identity by his adoptive father because his adoptive father was terrified that his son would be taken from him. He was taught fear. Now he's expecting his sons to carry that burden. But it's not theirs to carry. And if there's one thing that this episode made clear, It's that Clark needs to learn to let go of that secret, stop valuing it above all other things, especially valuing it above his sons. In truth, the move to Smallville has not been the best for them. They've suffered greatly. Clark needs to see that and to start helping to mitigate that. If he doesn't, he's going to lose them.
Since Clark finally told Lana about his secret identity, which honestly made me soo F**king happy and relieved but the last thing that was still bothering me so much is for Sarah to know the truth too and i want Jordan to explain everything to her but i also want her mom to be the first about everything.
Umm... dude, Superman & Lois is set in the Arrowverse. The Phantom Zone is already a thing due to Supergirl and that portal just only leads into Bizarro's world
@@JoelMiller431 They distinctly mentioned the empty space in between worlds, a void empty of time and space, that Natalie says she was also trapped in. The portal leads to Bizarro World, but that void in between is something else.
She does not have to get back together with him if she's just not into the relationship anymore. Not defending certain parts of her treatment of Jordan, but no she is not required to be in a relationship. And honestly, Jordan seems overly attached and needs to figure himself out with all the new changes in his life.
Great reaction and fantastic episode I agree.... This episode is a perfect example of why this show has become one of my favourites. PS, My little brother caught a bit of the Superboy fight in this episode and was totally weirded out by Bizarro Jon El... He pointed out that he has the exact same hair, and fashion sense that I do... I do in fact possess the exact outfit he wears, leather jacket, bright red pant, belt, all of it except the t shirt with the crest obviously... and I have worn that outfit on many occasions with zero knowledge that I was dressing the same as a 90s comic Superboy lol. He thinks I could pass as Bizarro Superboy's Daddy bwahaha. I'm most amused and kinda tempted to post photos online showing the amusing resemblance. Perhaps...?
I get Jordan is improving a lot but they really need to get him a professional martial arts trainer. He was mostly getting his ass kicked. Oh and Clark teaching him more power control as he lost focus and fell out of the sky. Oh, diggles back for directing!!!!
I think the boys don’t understand that Superman has enemies in their universe. And the earth based ones like Lex would have a field day with the Kent family.

"Why didn't you just tell me those drugs belong to Candice?" Well, let us review. Clark walked into Jonathan's room and was immediately told "Dad, I can explain." Clark cut him off. Just like he cut Jonathan off in an earlier game of the season when Jonathan tried to tell him that Timmy was using. Clark is simply refusing to listen. It's not Jonathan's fault. In fact, Lois and Clark are way off base in their treatment of Jonathan regarding the X-K. There is a difference between a kid experimenting, and a kid who is addicted. The tough-love punishment the Kent's our issuing fits addiction, but is woefully out of place for experimentation. They need to talk to Jonathan, genuinely LISTEN to him, find out what need he thought he was fulfilling by using X-K. Then help him find a genuinely effective way to get that fulfillment without the drugs. Or, to put it mildly, they need to be 100% less judgmental and 100% more involved. While they are at it, they also need to learn the difference between experimenting with a drug and being addicted to drugs. They're treating John like he's the second when he really was the first. That is clearly impacting how others see him since Lana went straight to believing that Jonathan was high when she thought he attacked her. When a kid is experimenting, which is exactly what Jonathan did, it is far more important to communicate with that child openly and honestly. There was a need that the kid was fulfilling in the experimentation. If they don't identify it, and find a constructive way to fulfill that need, next time it won't be an experiment. And since they live in a town where the teenagers are already getting drunk on a regular basis, they really do not need to just leave this hanging. Of course this is the CW, and I think the collective age of the writers is 13. So I doubt sincerely, this will actually be properly addressed. They'll probably just all hug it out in the last 5 minutes of the episode. Then next season Lois will have another family member with whom to have an interpersonal crisis, like the first two seasons. Clark will continue to spend his time rescuing puppies from Chernobyl when he should be spending time with his sons. And the good kids will continue to make bad choices in female companionship, but generally remain good kids. And then it'll get canceled along with the rest of CW. Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but for everything this episode got right, there were at least two other things they got wrong. Honestly, I would have held off telling Lana the truth and had Clark sit down with Jonathan and say " Buddy, you're right. I haven't been listening. You told me Timmy was using, and I ignored you. You told me the coach was biased against you, and I ignored you. You tried to tell me about the drugs the night I came home and I shut you down. I apologize and I will try to do better."
Jonathan wasn't EXPERIMENTING with the X K. He was literally USING IT so that he could play football because the coach had him benched all the time. Oh, and Parenting doesn't mean being FRIENDS with your kids. You're not their friend you're their parent.
@@scottkendall7789 I've been in healthcare since 2000. For the record, experimenting with drugs requires using them. But, after trying them, the experimenter walks away. That is what Jonathan did. Communication is key to parenting, not punishment. Blind punishment is abuse and always alienates the children. This isn't about being friends, but about proper guidance. Also Jonathan didn't use XK for football: that was incidental. His identity is wrapped around being the good son, the athlete who brings pride to his parents. In Smallville, he's been stripped of that identity. He already reached out to Clark last year and was promised they'd find a solution if he continued to struggle. But Clark didn't keep that promise. He went back disregarding Jonathan. He ignored Jonathan's accusations against Timmy, and then forgot he himself cut Jonathan off when he tried to explain about using the XK. That's on Clark. And an effective parent in this situation needs to own their mistakes and make up for them, to serve as an example for the child to follow. Right now, he's just blaming Jonathan, who blames him in turn.
I also think that it's kind of obvious Clark treats Jonathan differently because he doesn't any powers unlike Jordan who is basically this version of Superboy. They mentioned it in Season 1 but never went back to it but it could be extremely damaging if one brother has powers and the other doesn't which we are kind of seeing the effects of that as the show goes on.
@@scottkendall7789 I personally believe that both parents but more particularly Clark have been more neglectful towards Jonathan then they have been towards Jordan. It's a common complaint throughout the show that Jonathan always gets the short end of the stick compared to most characters on the show. Like I get that it's important to help Jordan because he's developing powers and they want to send him down the right path. And storywise Jordan is the powered one so the main focus has mostly been on Jordan, his powers, his relationships and so on obviously is one of the most vital parts of the show. But that has come at the expense of Jonathan. A clear example of this happened twice in the first season. One being when the family was together and Clark, in front of the entire family, asks Jordan if he would like to meet his grandfather Jor-El. Jordan smiles and says yes and Clark takes Jordan to the fortress. Completely ignoring Jonathan who never had a chance to meet his grandfather before the Jor-El crystal was destroyed. Lois who sees that Jonathan is bummed he didn't get to go takes him to the Smallville Gazette with her. I could be wrong but I don't believe Jonathan met the crystal version of his grandmother either. Jordan on the other hand has met them a handful of times. There was the other time where the family was fixing the truck and it was the moment of Clark bond more with Jordan than Jonathan because the entire conversation was about their powers. That led to Jonathan looking for someone to bond with like John Henry Irons and it not working and Jonathan almost dying in John Henry's super RV. Lois then yelled at Jonathan but apologized at the end of the episode telling him about her miscarriage and how she understands how hard it is being normal in a family of super people but in her opinion both her and Jonathan are really the extraordinary in a family of extraordinary people and then they share a hug. Moments like that are far and few between because even Lois herself has told Clark that she believes he is being too hard on Jonathon. I mean last season Jordan literally broke Jonathan's arm and Clark wasn't as mad about that as he is about Jonathan. He is following the same path as Bizarro Superman and and how his relationship with his son fell apart. It's bad enough that he is an outsider and the entire town hates him which we've seen at Lana's rally but he believes he is an outsider within his own family and has expressed to Lois multiple times that he believes his dad, Clark, hates him. I wish Clark would actually talk with Jonathan and not talk to him.
i think sarah is ready to know about jordan but the timing of telling her has to be perfect and the timing he choose was the worst one he could have possibly chosen

Don't tell the girl who cheated on you, ask for your forgiveness only to go back to the girl she cheated on you with and spend time with her without your knowledge, then try to emotionally manipulate you into mating said girl. These are treacherous waters, my young friend. Exit adolescence before deciding who is trustworthy. Hell, it took Clark 40 years to tell Lana.
Jordan seems somewhat overly attached to his first girlfriend and needs to figure out how to be ok by himself before putting so much into a relationship, especially with a girl who has been giving him the run around and honestly is just not that into him
You complaining about the fight....It's literally 2 teenagers, one who knows all his powers and the other is Jordan who is still learning his powers. So it's kind of stupid to sit there and complain about the fighting. And really, you want more than just punches? That's what FIGHTS are. Oh and Superman isn't a kung fu or karate fighter, he fights with his fists. Poor Jordan. Why couldn’t she take his letter to read for later? He wasn’t asking her to read it then. “Jordan I don’t want your letter”. Wow. I loved the ending though and the fight between Jordan and Bizarro Jonathan was cool. Ty for the reaction man and keep them coming. Oh also, since the show is gonna wrap it’s second season on June 21st apparently, do you think that means Stargirl season 3 maybe premieres afterwards or maybe same night as Superman and Lois season finale? Last yr Stargirl’s second season premiered the week before Superman and Lois had its season finale. So I could see them doing that here too.
I think her refusal is meant to indicate to the audience that they need to give up the notion of the two of them reconciling. The truth is, Sarah has been rather bad to him this season, and is probably rather bad for him at this point in time. She needs freedom and space to figure out who she is and what she wants. She can't do that with Jordan hanging on her every word. And he needs freedom in space to figure out who he really is, whether or not he wants to abandon all of his personal wishes for his future and following his father's footsteps, or whether he'd like to continue becoming the person he was becoming before he knew the secret. So I thought that her refusing to take the letter was actually something very important. And I think that in the end them being apart will be the best idea.

Is Superman revealing his indentity a big deal anymore? I feel all of that just went out the window after Supergirl revealed herself to the world and seemingly had no consequences.
I can see that decision on Supergirl changing the revealing an identity not have the same impact, but I feel the buildup for Lana to find out was built up in such a way that it works.

IDK, I really wish they hadn't ended Supergirl like that because it just raises a lot of questions.
Maybe the Best episode in the history of the show. The Flash might be the CW's crown jewel due to ratings (not sure why, it's been trash for years now). This is there best show and has been since it debuted. Over the Last 2 years, Superman and Lois, Arcane, and This is Us are my favorite best writing shows.
It almost seems like they're setting up for Lana to get her own Superman if you know what I mean. *wink, wink* (1) Lana divorces (or is about to divorce?) Kyle. (2) The existence of a certain relationship in the bizzaro world. (3) Clark tells Lana his secret, bringing her into the club.

Umm... dude, Superman & Lois is set in the Arrowverse. The Phantom Zone is already a thing due to Supergirl and that portal just only leads into Bizarro's world

@@JoelMiller431 They distinctly mentioned the empty space in between worlds, a void empty of time and space, that Natalie says she was also trapped in. The portal leads to Bizarro World, but that void in between is something else.

She does not have to get back together with him if she's just not into the relationship anymore. Not defending certain parts of her treatment of Jordan, but no she is not required to be in a relationship.
And honestly, Jordan seems overly attached and needs to figure himself out with all the new changes in his life.

PS, My little brother caught a bit of the Superboy fight in this episode and was totally weirded out by Bizarro Jon El... He pointed out that he has the exact same hair, and fashion sense that I do... I do in fact possess the exact outfit he wears, leather jacket, bright red pant, belt, all of it except the t shirt with the crest obviously... and I have worn that outfit on many occasions with zero knowledge that I was dressing the same as a 90s comic Superboy lol.
He thinks I could pass as Bizarro Superboy's Daddy bwahaha. I'm most amused and kinda tempted to post photos online showing the amusing resemblance. Perhaps...?

I get Jordan is improving a lot but they really need to get him a professional martial arts trainer. He was mostly getting his ass kicked. Oh and Clark teaching him more power control as he lost focus and fell out of the sky. Oh, diggles back for directing!!!!

I think the boys don’t understand that Superman has enemies in their universe. And the earth based ones like Lex would have a field day with the Kent family.
They are teens, so they don’t think of the bigger issue this would cause if it’s fully revealed to everyone.

Well, let us review. Clark walked into Jonathan's room and was immediately told "Dad, I can explain." Clark cut him off. Just like he cut Jonathan off in an earlier game of the season when Jonathan tried to tell him that Timmy was using. Clark is simply refusing to listen. It's not Jonathan's fault.
In fact, Lois and Clark are way off base in their treatment of Jonathan regarding the X-K. There is a difference between a kid experimenting, and a kid who is addicted. The tough-love punishment the Kent's our issuing fits addiction, but is woefully out of place for experimentation.
They need to talk to Jonathan, genuinely LISTEN to him, find out what need he thought he was fulfilling by using X-K. Then help him find a genuinely effective way to get that fulfillment without the drugs.
Or, to put it mildly, they need to be 100% less judgmental and 100% more involved.
While they are at it, they also need to learn the difference between experimenting with a drug and being addicted to drugs. They're treating John like he's the second when he really was the first. That is clearly impacting how others see him since Lana went straight to believing that Jonathan was high when she thought he attacked her.
When a kid is experimenting, which is exactly what Jonathan did, it is far more important to communicate with that child openly and honestly. There was a need that the kid was fulfilling in the experimentation. If they don't identify it, and find a constructive way to fulfill that need, next time it won't be an experiment. And since they live in a town where the teenagers are already getting drunk on a regular basis, they really do not need to just leave this hanging.
Of course this is the CW, and I think the collective age of the writers is 13. So I doubt sincerely, this will actually be properly addressed. They'll probably just all hug it out in the last 5 minutes of the episode. Then next season Lois will have another family member with whom to have an interpersonal crisis, like the first two seasons. Clark will continue to spend his time rescuing puppies from Chernobyl when he should be spending time with his sons. And the good kids will continue to make bad choices in female companionship, but generally remain good kids. And then it'll get canceled along with the rest of CW.
Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but for everything this episode got right, there were at least two other things they got wrong. Honestly, I would have held off telling Lana the truth and had Clark sit down with Jonathan and say " Buddy, you're right. I haven't been listening. You told me Timmy was using, and I ignored you. You told me the coach was biased against you, and I ignored you. You tried to tell me about the drugs the night I came home and I shut you down. I apologize and I will try to do better."
Jonathan wasn't EXPERIMENTING with the X K. He was literally USING IT so that he could play football because the coach had him benched all the time. Oh, and Parenting doesn't mean being FRIENDS with your kids. You're not their friend you're their parent.
@@scottkendall7789 I've been in healthcare since 2000. For the record, experimenting with drugs requires using them. But, after trying them, the experimenter walks away. That is what Jonathan did.
Communication is key to parenting, not punishment. Blind punishment is abuse and always alienates the children. This isn't about being friends, but about proper guidance.
Also Jonathan didn't use XK for football: that was incidental. His identity is wrapped around being the good son, the athlete who brings pride to his parents. In Smallville, he's been stripped of that identity. He already reached out to Clark last year and was promised they'd find a solution if he continued to struggle.
But Clark didn't keep that promise. He went back disregarding Jonathan. He ignored Jonathan's accusations against Timmy, and then forgot he himself cut Jonathan off when he tried to explain about using the XK. That's on Clark. And an effective parent in this situation needs to own their mistakes and make up for them, to serve as an example for the child to follow. Right now, he's just blaming Jonathan, who blames him in turn.

I also think that it's kind of obvious Clark treats Jonathan differently because he doesn't any powers unlike Jordan who is basically this version of Superboy. They mentioned it in Season 1 but never went back to it but it could be extremely damaging if one brother has powers and the other doesn't which we are kind of seeing the effects of that as the show goes on.
@@scottkendall7789 I personally believe that both parents but more particularly Clark have been more neglectful towards Jonathan then they have been towards Jordan. It's a common complaint throughout the show that Jonathan always gets the short end of the stick compared to most characters on the show. Like I get that it's important to help Jordan because he's developing powers and they want to send him down the right path. And storywise Jordan is the powered one so the main focus has mostly been on Jordan, his powers, his relationships and so on obviously is one of the most vital parts of the show. But that has come at the expense of Jonathan.
A clear example of this happened twice in the first season. One being when the family was together and Clark, in front of the entire family, asks Jordan if he would like to meet his grandfather Jor-El. Jordan smiles and says yes and Clark takes Jordan to the fortress. Completely ignoring Jonathan who never had a chance to meet his grandfather before the Jor-El crystal was destroyed. Lois who sees that Jonathan is bummed he didn't get to go takes him to the Smallville Gazette with her. I could be wrong but I don't believe Jonathan met the crystal version of his grandmother either. Jordan on the other hand has met them a handful of times.
There was the other time where the family was fixing the truck and it was the moment of Clark bond more with Jordan than Jonathan because the entire conversation was about their powers. That led to Jonathan looking for someone to bond with like John Henry Irons and it not working and Jonathan almost dying in John Henry's super RV. Lois then yelled at Jonathan but apologized at the end of the episode telling him about her miscarriage and how she understands how hard it is being normal in a family of super people but in her opinion both her and Jonathan are really the extraordinary in a family of extraordinary people and then they share a hug.
Moments like that are far and few between because even Lois herself has told Clark that she believes he is being too hard on Jonathon. I mean last season Jordan literally broke Jonathan's arm and Clark wasn't as mad about that as he is about Jonathan. He is following the same path as Bizarro Superman and and how his relationship with his son fell apart. It's bad enough that he is an outsider and the entire town hates him which we've seen at Lana's rally but he believes he is an outsider within his own family and has expressed to Lois multiple times that he believes his dad, Clark, hates him. I wish Clark would actually talk with Jonathan and not talk to him.

You complaining about the fight....It's literally 2 teenagers, one who knows all his powers and the other is Jordan who is still learning his powers. So it's kind of stupid to sit there and complain about the fighting. And really, you want more than just punches? That's what FIGHTS are. Oh and Superman isn't a kung fu or karate fighter, he fights with his fists. Oh also, since the show is gonna wrap it’s second season on June 21st apparently, do you think that means Stargirl season 3 maybe premieres afterwards or maybe same night as Superman and Lois season finale? Last yr Stargirl’s second season premiered the week before Superman and Lois had its season finale. So I could see them doing that here too.
I think her refusal is meant to indicate to the audience that they need to give up the notion of the two of them reconciling. The truth is, Sarah has been rather bad to him this season, and is probably rather bad for him at this point in time. She needs freedom and space to figure out who she is and what she wants. She can't do that with Jordan hanging on her every word. And he needs freedom in space to figure out who he really is, whether or not he wants to abandon all of his personal wishes for his future and following his father's footsteps, or whether he'd like to continue becoming the person he was becoming before he knew the secret. So I thought that her refusing to take the letter was actually something very important. And I think that in the end them being apart will be the best idea.
Sarah didn't take the letter because 1) It was bad timing, and 2) She just not that in to him, she's done with the relationship

Is Superman revealing his indentity a big deal anymore? I feel all of that just went out the window after Supergirl revealed herself to the world and seemingly had no consequences.
I can see that decision on Supergirl changing the revealing an identity not have the same impact, but I feel the buildup for Lana to find out was built up in such a way that it works.
Has this show made any references to Supergirl? With how disconnected it feels, I'm just enjoying it without input from the Supergirl show
@@breezy3392 Only bits and pieces, they're supposed to address Supergirl and The Arrowverse connections by the end of this season apparently and we know the show is still connected to the other shows whether we pretend it is or not especially with Diggle making an appearance.

Maybe the Best episode in the history of the show. The Flash might be the CW's crown jewel due to ratings (not sure why, it's been trash for years now). This is there best show and has been since it debuted. Over the Last 2 years, Superman and Lois, Arcane, and This is Us are my favorite best writing shows.
