If you read the ability on the war shrine mammoth again it says it just needs nearby deaths, not get kills itself.

yep that is how it works. You can drop a Fat AOE damage spell on chaff or front lines. when the mamoth is near. To quickly charge that ability at the battle start. I saw that with Azazel and the Chaos Shrine of Slanash. One spell cast of Mirror shards was enough to raise the ability quite a bit.

That Benny Hill routine with Throgg and the Mammoth chasing the Balefire cart through the zombie horde was both hilarious and nerve wracking
If the Vamp player and just dived them with his Lord/BKs, coulda been bad for Norcsa

this is consistently one of my fav matchups to watch because they are both melee factions and neither of these factions has ever been overtuned unlike CERTAIN OTHER FACTIONS so it's always just a big ol scrum that can go either way and comes down to good positioning and quick wits, the way middle aged warfare often did

It is just me or this map looks beautiful? Like the first seconds looked so cinematic, I don't know.
Anyway, may I ask why you don't cover Domination mode too? I love both modes, is just curiosity.

The warshrine isnt about kills. it is all deaths in the area.

Wow. Both players did great, but the Vamp count player made tons of mistakes and bloodnights bailed him out.

Pretty sure there are mods that give Norsca lord-level casters with the option to take War Shrine Mammoths as a mount. At least I know there was in Game 2.

With as much physical resistance and regeneration norsca has, brazier is a pretty good pick in this match up

I think the warshrine mammoth ability scales off the gold price of the unit killed. I could be wrong about that though.

you are, its just deaths around the mammoth, rather than its own kills.
