Purchased & tried on oneplus 3 phone after type C usb audio update , but didn't work at all for audio , slow charging is happening.
I tried the same with Dell laptop with usb type C port that supports 4k HDMI output to monitor ,but no audio came out of the 3.5 mm jack .
I don't know why it doen't work ! It claims to work on all type C devices, but ...
I think it needs a inbuilt DAC to work with.

Bought and tried on HTC U Ultra, Samsung S8/Note 8, all didn't works. I test on Dell laptop with type C port, also didn't work.
I would say it is not supported natively. On the other hand, the original type C to 3.5mm for HTC U Ultra, the one without charging, actually is working on Samsung S8/Note 8, and also detected by the Dell laptop with type C port.
