While he is still around has VERKEYS K. ever nurtured the idea of releasing digitally remastered versions of Veve Productions works??????I certainly believe that there would be an economically viable market both from old punters and the younger generation!!
Thanks for sharing. Darubini, you are right. UBC played more of Zaireian music then more than VOK. I used to travel between Kenya and Uganda often, actually passing through Busia at the border. I even heard Tabuley's "Mokolo na Kokufa" in UBC before it played in VOK.
Bwana Darubini, were you a radio anchor for Radio Uganda in the 1970s? Everything that you play were all played in radio Uganda. This also was played by army band and gues what? Lots of Muchumo [Nyama Choma] was eaten in their military parties in Officers' or Surgeants' Mess. This keeps memory alive. Certainly music doesn't die. God bless
Execuse for letting my family secrete out in the open but it deserves to be told thus its no longer a secret any more!St Bernards College is a private school in Masaka Uganda started by my late uncle in late or early 1950's!Every Sunday afternoons we had dances or school parties!I was student at this school for my A levels 1977/78!These songs were our solace from the transnighting we used to under take! Thanks to a certain Mr Joe Mukasa my cousin!Adios guys!

The funky bassline of Celi Bitshou along with Vercky's Saxophone and Drums is pure euphoria!

Verckys used the saxophone instead of the lead guitar - the man was a musical genius
