Cathy I left two messages for you down below because I do have a thyroid issue and I'm going through menopause I'm doing the same exact thing that you're doing thank you for giving me the courage to continue my messages are below praying for your husband and you❤🙏
Hi Cathy, I didn’t find the chicken stir fry recipe link. Here is a smoothie recipe that I enjoy having: Blueberry Muffin Breakfast Smoothie 1 cup almond milk (or regular milk) 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 1/2 cup frozen ripe banana chunks (about one small banana) 1/4 cup raw uncooked oats (the quick cooking kind) 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 tbsp chia seeds or hemp hearts (for Omega 3s) Dash cinnamon Whirl all smoothie ingredients in a blender until smooth. Enjoy!
Great video! I am an emotional eater too. Lately I’ve been asking myself if I’m really hungry or just eating out of boredom or as a treat for a tough day. Most of the time I realize I am not even hungry. I am going to use your plate method.
Hi Cathy. You’re doing a great job losing weight. I think losing almost 10 lbs in 2 months is pretty good. Gaining weight is so easy but losing it can be so hard. Luv u 😘
Years ago I was a heavy smoker. Ten years ago I quit the cigarettes and put on weight. Since I've been retired I started eating differently and quit eating fast food. We do eat out once in awhile but mostly I eat a vegetable and a small piece of fish or meat. I've lost 20 pounds but I'm not depriving myself.
Congratulations for sticking to your plan Cathy! I’ve always been struck by your honesty in putting yourself out there. You are a great inspiration for us all. Thank you!
Kathy, I just watched your 3 videos on your weight loss journey so far. I am so happy for your that you have LOST NINE POUNDS! That's fabulous. Don't discount it or the fact that your clothes are loose on you. How good you must feel to easily get into those clothes. I have been addicted to food my whole life and am also an emotional eater. After a serious health scare in March of this year I started on my own weight loss journey. While it is not the same as yours, it's working for me and I'm so excited about how I've done. In the beginning when I got the cravings in the evening I would drink water using a reusable bottle with a straw. The one thing I can't do is gulp water down all at once. This method helped me drink more and more water. I still have times when I eat a cheeseburger but no longer stress about it for days. I get up the next day and start again. This is a lifestyle and not a diet. I'm learning to love myself instead of comparing to others. (I've always been the heaviest in the room.) I will probably eat this way the rest of my life and I embrace it all. I hope you can embrace your new healthy eating and living. With all the stress you have in your life, you should celebrate every pound that's gone. In fact, when you lose more weight, go out and buy yourself some balloons and celebrate. P.S. The difference in your face and in the tone of your voice has completely changed. You are so much brighter. I enjoyed all your fashion tiips as well, being 5'3". So glad I found your channel.
Congratulations on your weight loss!! It’s really important to find the plan that works best for you. This is a healthy way of looking at food and I’m so pleased to have found something that works and doesn’t require counting points or calories. 🥰
i love frozen grapes. I buy them and freeze them in snack bags.i was just diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, so I am completely changing my eating habits. I am a stress eater as well. Great job with your weight loss. Keep it up!
Please don't downplay your 9lb loss. This is almost 1/5 of the way to your goal. 20% is a huge feat in 2 months. This is a phenomenal win and should be celebrated 🍾 🙌 👏 👌 ❤️ And you look great. It is certainly noticeable. ❤
9 lbs down is a huge accomplishment, congrats! Love your honesty. I appreciate your approach to wl. I like vanilla yogurt. You may want to try egg salad, it breaks up the motony of boiled eggs.
Congrats! 9.5 pounds is 1 potato short of a 10lb bag! So nothing to sneeze at. I’m not in the correct headspace to concentrate on well-eating anymore, though I am still trying to control my sugar intake and I try not to eat after 7pm. I’m 59 and I know well the struggle you’re facing. I lost almost 28 pounds on WW, but it was like the minute I turned 40 every thing stopped. Lots of turmoil in my life right now and I’m just not there with cooking healthy meals at the moment. Congrats again and keep after it!
Being able to control your emotional eating is key. You're doing a great job! I'm so happy for you. Keep up the good work, just take one day at a time & be consistent. You will reach your goals!
I gave up dieting about a month ago. After decades of dieting, it does feel weird. I'm 65, and totally resonate with everything you said. Keep going, girl! You are not alone. You are an inspiration!
I’m so happy for you on the weight loss. Your making it work! This is awesome!! My plate is close only no meat. Have you tried freezing the grapes? Just pop one in your mouth. It’s really sweet. Calorie count didn’t change! Difference is you don’t eat so much. Hang in hopefully down the road you’ll find some great spices that will help you be SOS (sugar, oil, and salt) free! Your doing great!!! Yeah Cathy!!! Detra out!
Wow you are doing great losing 9 pounds, that's 36 sticks of butter. My doctor told me to lose weight slowly. Just losing 1 pound is 4 sticks of butter
So sorry to hear about your husband being ill. That's really hard and well done for keeping on track with your healthy eating. I think it's important to not loose the weight too fast. Particularly at our age, you don't want loose skin . This can't be avoided but loosing what your loosing s pound a week. That's good and steady. I would say that if you want this to be a life thing. You need to learn how to cook. Invest in things like an air fryer. Instant pot, and a good food blender. Thanks for letting us know about your progress, will be watching to see how you get on.
You will reach your goal before you know it! Nine pounds is an excellent start! I am 64 and have yo-yoed in weight my entire life. Changing eating habits is the best and (IMO) only way to lose weight and keep it off. I have lost 44 pounds using this strategy since March, and I have reached my goal. It's about lifestyle changes. Add exercise that you enjoy when you are ready! I am an emotional eater, too. Grapes are far better than the potato chips and french fries I used to reach for!! Keep up the good work you will reach your goal before you know it!
I’m so proud of you, Cathy! I am down 70 pounds this year- I started much heavier than you and was also hurting so badly! I went to a diabetes educator who also taught the plate method! I finally added some major walking in this summer when my joint inflammation went down and that really amplified my results. Take your time to add the exercise in! It needs to be the right time for you!
I have also battled my weight all my life and felt detached from my body in some way. But, like you, I’m trying to give my body healthy fuel and it makes such a difference. You look amazing and I hope you are feeling amazing!
Congratulations on the weight loss, Cathy!🎉🎉🎉 I'm on the same journey, walking right beside you. ❤so challenging, but also so rewarding. I can see the changes in you already. You look beautiful. Praying for your husband.
Cathy, don’t say ONLY 9 lbs. that’s 36 sticks of butter! You’re looking fabulous, and love the excitement of success in your voice. Thank you for inspiring me and being out there like a sweet encouraging friend. Keep it up! You’re doing great!
Hugs to you! I understand the stress of taking care of loved ones while trying to take care of you. Stress eating is real. The chemicals that food releases in our bodies can calm anxiety long enough for us to crave those foods in the future.
Cheers to you on your weight loss and new lifestyle. I have always struggled with my weight so I understand how difficult it is to lose weight. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Please keep us posted on his health and your new lifestyle journey. Have a great weekend.
Cathy, I am like you....am an emotional eater, trying not to feel my feelings by using comfort food, being straight forward, and with a common sense view on life. Am going to follow the balanced plate approach, too. You are a great role model. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes!
I also hate exercising! What worked for me was walking in the woods on dirt trails. The peace and sounds of nature calmed my anxiety, and it did not seem like exercise at all. Now I'm an avid hiker, traveler far and wide to see every beautiful place on earth I can in whatever time I have left. I do still struggle with my food addictions. You're doing great, and I appreciate your videos!
Yes, I do almost 100% water (plus tea). I have been fortunate that even as a young child, I did not like pop, as it hurt my throat, so it is not a temptation and neither are sugary drinks. Good for you for the no sugar. I have not succeeded in that yet and do not know how to succeed.
So happy for your new direction on eating, Cathy. Like you, I'm a sugar addict and use it to distract or soothe myself. You are definitely doing the right thing about not bringing those treats home now. One of the best tips I've heard on this, is, "Don't rely on willpower. Remove the temptation." Removing the sugar temptation from your home is a huge step.
You should be very proud of yourself. You are doing a great job. My belief is as long as you are moving forward, whether it's baby steps or great leaps, it's success.
Congratulations. I did the plan you are on. Lost 80lbs. Unfortunately, emotional eating is a monster and can rear its ugly head. I gained back 60 lbs over 6 years. After watching this, I feel motivated. I have a lot of health issues right now. But eating healthy again is a must. I am looking forward to watching your progress. Hang in there. You can do this.
Great questions to ask yourself regarding emotional eating. It puts a pause between the urge (wanting food) and the action (eating it) and allows you to meet your emotional needs with something other than food. Well done Cathy. I am so proud of you for trying something different.
Hi Cathy, Congratulations on your weight loss with the plate method and all your success with the nutritionist. That's excellent🎉!! Love and prayers to you and your husband 🙏 🕯💞💞
Trust me you are doing great. I can totally relate to you with your emotional eating. I'm 55 as well. I was told I have too much iron in my liver which has damaged my liver without me even knowing. I've been told to get healthy with my diet and loose weight. I was about 4 stones over weight. I couldn't face being shamed at Weight watchers or slimming world. So I started eating low fat food and smaller portions of food. I added walking 4/5 days a week and have lost over 2 stone /32lb in weight since march. I feel so proud of myself. I still have another 2 stone to reach a healthier weight but its taken 30 years to put this weight on so I know it will take awhile to loose but I'm so happy with what I've done so far. I still go out for birthday/ anniversary meals and eat what everyone else is eating. Is great not to feel guilty as I know I can eat healthy again the next day. Life is for living and enjoying so you need to eat at a restaurant or go on holiday occasionally. As I said earlier you are doing amazing. I hope your husbands illness is treatable. Saying a prayer for you. 🙏 My husband is in and out of hospital with complications from diabetes so I can relate to having a spouse with a long term illness. Sorry for long post! Sending hugs from Ireland 🇮🇪
Congratulations!! Baby steps add up. Your approach inspires me. You are so correct about how easy it is to just stuff something in your face when you're stressed. That's exactly how I soothe myself, then I get so frustrated with myself. Keep in going! You're doing great!
FROZEN grapes are a fabulous treat, My favorite treat is decaf instant coffee,, cocoa powder wth crushed ice and either milk skim milk or half and half with crushed ice is a frothy treat
New subscriber here...Congrats on your food choices. Any loss is better than a gain when it comes to our weight. Keep up the good work & thank you for sharing.
I saw your one-month update last month and the very next day said to myself, if Cathy can lose weight this way, so can I. More salads for lunch, more water, brush my teeth when I just want to mindlessly snack, etc. So now I’m a month behind you and have lost just about 4 lbs. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Good for you doing what is best for YOU not others, everyone’s body is different. I’m over 50 and am the same don’t eat much at all but eat all the wrong foods and the last few yrs not as active. I am restarting high protein low carb and medium fats, that works for ME. People try to help by making suggestions but you are doing it the correct way, what YOUR body needs not the masses way! Also eating the foods you will actually eat makes a big difference too. I do wraps and put in the fridge, easy and quick to make and even easier to grab that then something not as good. Same with dinners, even if it’s just a few for those busy days. Your doing really well and I’m proud of you ❤
You keep focusing on you! It seems to be working. Nine pounds is a huge successful deal! I also tend to eat to repress my feelings. I know how hard it is to stop doing that and learn healthy alternative ways to deal with those feeling . . . It's a jouney. Keep going, I'm cheering for you!
I'm seeing a registered dietitian I understand completely about emotionally eating I do the same thing I have a shake in the morning eggs and something for lunch and then dinner look like your plate with the chicken and everything in The first two months I think I lost maybe 11 lb not even walking or exercising- prayers for you and your husband going to watch your other videos You are an amazing strong lady-to be honest I've had an ice cream and a candy bar but I'll go straight back to my diet and I continue so if anyone does don't feel bad just keep going God bless you all
Dearest Cathy, You are an inspiration! Embracing your POWER and, bravely, sharing your life openly feels like I'm sitting at the kitchen table having coffee and conversation with a beloved sister. Your beauty shines through and lights me up, too! Thank you& blessings on you and your husband, Jill.
Am reading thru the comments because I want to make sure everyone is being kind. This comment is so heartfelt and profound that I wanted to give you a shout out
Your plan sounds sensible. If you get tired of the almonds for your evening snack, I’ve found pistachios in the shell are great……and you have to get them out of the shell, so they last longer! Lol best of luck!
So encouraging! You're doing great!! One thing that helped me break the nighttime snack habit was to brush & floss immediately after dinner. I didn't want to have to do it again, so no snacks. It worked for me.
Sounds like a lower carb/lower sugar diet, which i find works wonders. Sugar is inflammatory and once we stop eating it our aches and pains go away. Congrats on your weight loss!
Great job Cathy. I also have following my nutritionist plan. I've lost 29lbs in the last year. Seems I've reached a stand still. I slip every now and then , health issues you know. But working on dropping 10 more pounds. I'm proud of both of us at least we're not gaining. Prayers for your husband and you.
9lb loss is FABULOUS 🎉!! I too stress eat and you made me think, why do I feel I need that bag of Ramen noodle before I go to bed? And yes, I eat too much sugar. Need to change my ways.
You are an amazing lady! I can relate to everything you said about stuffing the feelings down and buying treats every week at the grocery store to soothe yourself. I'm learning to undo all of that behavior and I am a former weight watcher, too. Keep up the great work and keep doing you.
You should be so proud - both of the weight loss and for sticking with your plan 80% of the time. That means you've made and stuck to a load of healthy lifestyle choices. Woohoo! And also, just to make your accomplishment real to you - go grab a 10lb sack of Buddy's food and walk around carrying it for a while. That's pretty much how much you're not carrying around today. Kudos!
I can totally relate to emotional eating. If I didn’t have a prescription for my anxiety, and therapy, I’d be a lot heavier than I am. My husband also has health issues, and that’s such a huge worry. You’re doing great with your eating plan. Losing 9+ lbs. in that short of time is something to be proud of. I have an addiction to sugar, but did give up fast food, and only limit it to a few times a year. My ambition to exercise is low, and it’s still too hot to walk outdoors here, but we do have a treadmill. We’re kind of alike as far as starting too much at once. I won’t stick with it, if I’m overwhelmed. Thanks for being so open and honest, and good luck on your journey. ☺️☺️
Hi Cathy I'm watching you from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I'm 57 and went through menopause at 45, so have been post menopausal for several years already. Believe me, everything changes with trying to lose weight once you hit menopause unfortunately, it's been almost impossible for me. I'm a shortie like you, and over the years the weight has slowly crept up. I'm also an emotional eater like yourself. I've had rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 39, which until 2 years ago has been under control. Unfortunately I was put on 3 courses of steriods in 12 months when the medication I was on suddenly started causing liver issues. Well my weight skyrocketed all of a sudden, and I haven't managed to shift it. Earlier this year I caught covid for the first time, and for some strange reason I completely went off sugar and all things sweet. Guess what... the weight started melting off, and believe me I tried everything from intermittent fasting, Keto (yuck), going back to weight watchers etc etc. Unfortunately I slowly went back to the dark side (sugar), and I'm so upset with myself because out of every type of weight loss strategy that definitely was the one thing that worked. I've now got back on board with cutting out sugar and determined to stick with it. I found once I lost the sugar addiction it was actually very easy. Sorry for the long post 😅 Best wishes Kelley ❤
Go Cathy! Slow and Steady wins the race! And over 50s should go slow so you lose the fat and not your muscle which happens with fast weight loss. Think about 2 ten minute walks a day- 10 minutes after breakfast or lunch and definitely after dinner- this lowers your insulin after eating and it will help you clear your head and help with your stress. You are an inspiration! You are doing it so healthy! Prayers everything works out well for your husband🙏🏻
Great work! Best advice for you: relax! And remember that there are no bad foods. Everything can be worked into your "plate" plan, but do try to stay away from processed foods. Whole, natural foods are healthiest. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your success so far!! 😊
Hi Cathy, over the past 12 months I’ve lost 5 stone with Slimming World. Splitting your plate into 3 is the rule I try to stick to at meal times. I’ve not found it easy and I do go back to ‘binge’ eating at emotional times but as soon as I’ve done that and feel VERY upset I force myself back onto plan. I’m 59 and my weight (18.6 stones) was beginning to effect my mobility and that was the turning point for me. I’ve been through the menopause and thought I couldn’t do it but I am. It’s what ever works for the individual. I want to wish you success in whatever you do and also I will say a prayer for your husbands health. Thankyou for your videos and all the information and inspiration x
In Scotland I am also on my weight loss journey with the "fast 800", it is working for me thankgoodness. I also reached 9lb last week and am so happy, double figures soon. I use a spice topping on Greek yogurt. 2 parts ground cinnamon with 1 part ground dried chilli. I shake a small dusting on my yogurt for a wee change. You are doing so well.
Sugar is our drug of choice. I know how you feel, sometimes just eating real food seems boring! And you always have to think about food and plan what uou are going to have for meals, or everything gets derailed! I also find myself eating the same things cause its easier!
Congratulations Cathy on losing 9lbs! 🎉celebrate every pound!😊I totally get the stress eating… a lot of people do the same thing. 🙋♀️ both my husband have health issues. This makes it difficult for us to lose weight. I lost 35lbs doing low carb and have since gained 20 back. I hate it, but it’s my own fault and now I’ve got to get with it… again.
The healthy eating is straight-forward. You're right that undoing 20+ years of crazy food tapes in our head is the hard one. I too am an emotional eater. Happy, sad, stressed, busy, or bored. It's a worthy goal, and you're making solid progress. Kudos!
You’re doing awesome!! I’m doing something very similar. I’m glad you are sharing your story. It’s motivating me. It’s very reassuring to know my struggle are real (and I’m not the only one with those struggles). Just a FYI, I’m 57 and probably 50-60 pounds overweight. I’ve lost 15 pounds since April. It’s very slow, but I’m keeping it off. Thanks for sharing!!
Bravo for the almost 10 pounds lost!!! That significant loss is evident in your face, that can be seen. It’s been said that for every pound loss, is 4 pounds of pressure off our joints… that to me is very evident and my joints are feeling less uncomfortable. Keep it going👏👏👏
God bless us 🙏🏼 and I'm sorry to hear the news about your husband keep up the great work and stay positive ❤️ I'm going through the roller-coaster of trying to get my weight under control again and like you I struggle with eating less and snacking on chips and cookies But I'm definitely slowly taking out the sugary foods and eating better and like you I'm not there with exercises but I feel you and nine lbs are awesome keep being you and take care thanks for sharing your journey.
Thanks for sharing your journey. I can relate to being an emotional eater---I got tears just listening to your story. I encourage you to keep on your path. You are awesome and an inspiration. Tell your anxious self "You are not alone. You are safe, keep breathing, you can handle this." 👍👍👍❤

Hi Cathy, I didn’t find the chicken stir fry recipe link.
Here is a smoothie recipe that I enjoy having:
Blueberry Muffin Breakfast Smoothie

1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen ripe banana chunks (about one small banana)
1/4 cup raw uncooked oats (the quick cooking kind)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Whirl all smoothie ingredients in a blender until smooth. Enjoy!

Hi Cathy. You’re doing a great job losing weight. I think losing almost 10 lbs in 2 months is pretty good. Gaining weight is so easy but losing it can be so hard. Luv u 😘
Yes, why is it I can put 5 lbs on overnight, but it takes a month to get rid of. LOL
Good for you. It's been a lifelong struggle for me too. Sugar junkie here. :)
Thank you!
I'm so sorry to hear that your husband is ill. I am still recovering from base of tongue, HPV+ cancer. Hugs.
Sending warm hugs and positive thoughts your way
Sending you good wishes for a speedy recovery! 💖
Cathy, you're looking terrific, your mood has totally changed, and you're finding total success. Keep up the great journey!
Thank you so much! 🥰

How long did it take for you to lose 20 pounds?

Thank you, I’ll try the frozen grapes.
Wow! Congratulations Cathy! You are really doing great and it's good to hear you are realistic and not militant!! This is a definite success story!

Lots of turmoil in my life right now and I’m just not there with cooking healthy meals at the moment. Congrats again and keep after it!
Thanks! 🥰
Being able to control your emotional eating is key. You're doing a great job! I'm so happy for you. Keep up the good work, just take one day at a time & be consistent. You will reach your goals!
Thank you! 🥰
I'm listening, 😊 so proud of you. When i looked at your first weight video, I started my journey. Today down, 13 lb. Thank you so much . ❤
Great job! 🥰
I gave up dieting about a month ago. After decades of dieting, it does feel weird. I'm 65, and totally resonate with everything you said. Keep going, girl! You are not alone. You are an inspiration!
Thank you 😊
I’m so happy for you on the weight loss.
Detra out!
Thank you!
Wow you are doing great losing 9 pounds, that's 36 sticks of butter. My doctor told me to lose weight slowly. Just losing 1 pound is 4 sticks of butter
WOW…36 sticks of butter! That’s a great visual reminder. Thank you! 🥰
I really appreciate your honesty!! There is so many lies being perpetrated these days. You go girl!!!
I like to equate weight loss to chickens. An average chicken is 2.5 pounds. So Dear Kathy you have lost FOUR chickens. 😂🐣🐔
Good visual! Thanks! 😂
Wow you did so great again this past month! I’m amazed you did it under so much stress with your husband.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Thank you!
Congratulations 🎉 on losing 70 pounds.
Congrats on such an amazing weight loss!!
Best real-life practical useful advice I’ve heard in a long time! You inspire me!
Wow, thank you!
I have also battled my weight all my life and felt detached from my body in some way. But, like you, I’m trying to give my body healthy fuel and it makes such a difference.
You look amazing and I hope you are feeling amazing!
Thank you! 🥰
Congratulations on the weight loss, Cathy!🎉🎉🎉 I'm on the same journey, walking right beside you. ❤so challenging, but also so rewarding. I can see the changes in you already. You look beautiful. Praying for your husband.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Cathy, don’t say ONLY 9 lbs. that’s 36 sticks of butter! You’re looking fabulous, and love the excitement of success in your voice. Thank you for inspiring me and being out there like a sweet encouraging friend. Keep it up! You’re doing great!
Wow Cathy! So encouraging to see your changes! You look great!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on 9.3 lb. loss. I know your struggle. Keep your head up and stick with it. You are seeing results already. Love your channel.
Thank you! ❤️
That’s exceptional weight loss and hard work, especially considering you’ve been a caregiver for decades. Give yourself more credit!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Frozen grapes are very satisfying.
Thank you! 🥰
Cathy, I am like you....am an emotional eater, trying not to feel my feelings by using comfort food, being straight forward, and with a common sense view on life. Am going to follow the balanced plate approach, too. You are a great role model. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes!
Thank you!
👏👏 great job Cathy, one day at a time.
Thanks! 🥰
Congrats. 9 pounds is awesome!
Thank you!
I've gone no carb, no sugar, no bad sh$t. Lost 10 lbs the 1st month. Also water only. 2 weeks into the second month and already 7 more lbs!!
Yes, I do almost 100% water (plus tea). I have been fortunate that even as a young child, I did not like pop, as it hurt my throat, so it is not a temptation and neither are sugary drinks. Good for you for the no sugar. I have not succeeded in that yet and do not know how to succeed.
Good for you!! I have been up and down just about my whole adult life. It's not easy.
Thanks! 😊
Congratulations on your loss of 9.3 lbs! I really enjoy your videos. You have inspired me!
Thank you! 🥰
Amen!
You should be very proud of yourself. You are doing a great job. My belief is as long as you are moving forward, whether it's baby steps or great leaps, it's success.
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Hi Karen, congratulations on your weight loss!! You are amazing! Thank you for your well wishes, I appreciate it. 💖
Congratulations!! Baby steps add up. Your approach inspires me. You are so correct about how easy it is to just stuff something in your face when you're stressed. That's exactly how I soothe myself, then I get so frustrated with myself. Keep in going! You're doing great!
Congratulation, you look great!!
Cathy yes!! Im a feeling stuffer too. I understand what you're saying. Youre doing great!!! Keep going!!
FROZEN grapes are a fabulous treat, My favorite treat is decaf instant coffee,, cocoa powder wth crushed ice and either milk skim milk or half and half with crushed ice is a frothy treat
So proud of you!!! What an inspiration! You are not alone….
New subscriber here...Congrats on your food choices. Any loss is better than a gain when it comes to our weight. Keep up the good work & thank you for sharing.
Thanks and welcome! 🥰
I think you are doing great! The number on the scale does not matter as much as how you feel. The plate method makes so much sense!
That’s amazing!! ❤️
Your doing really well and I’m proud of you ❤
Thank you! 🥰
I am so happy it is working for you. I can relate to you. Hang in there it's working for you.
This comment is so heartfelt and profound that I wanted to give you a shout out
Thank you!
Congrats on your weight loss...and I will be praying for your husband. Love your videos.
Thank you so much!
You're doing awesome, Cathy!!! Thanks so much for sharing with us! 🥰❤️🥳
Thanks so much!! ❤️
I can see the difference in your face. Good work!
You are doing great 👍
Thank you 😊
Your plan sounds sensible. If you get tired of the almonds for your evening snack, I’ve found pistachios in the shell are great……and you have to get them out of the shell, so they last longer! Lol best of luck!
Thank you!
Congratulations - you are doing so well, especially with all you have going on! You seem so upbeat - so glad this is working for you.
Thank you so much! ❤️
So encouraging! You're doing great!! One thing that helped me break the nighttime snack habit was to brush & floss immediately after dinner. I didn't want to have to do it again, so no snacks. It worked for me.
Thank you! 🥰
Sounds like a lower carb/lower sugar diet, which i find works wonders. Sugar is inflammatory and once we stop eating it our aches and pains go away.
Congrats on your weight loss!
Thank you! 😊
Congratulations on your weight loss and thank you! ❤️
9lb loss is FABULOUS 🎉!! I too stress eat and you made me think, why do I feel I need that bag of Ramen noodle before I go to bed? And yes, I eat too much sugar. Need to change my ways.
All of this makes sense to me. I’m definitely someone who will “stuff” the feelings down. Wishing you the best.
You are an amazing lady! I can relate to everything you said about stuffing the feelings down and buying treats every week at the grocery store to soothe yourself. I'm learning to undo all of that behavior and I am a former weight watcher, too. Keep up the great work and keep doing you.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Good for u Kathy I love grapes try freezing them there so good u go girl I'm with u all the way❤
Absolutely LOVE frozen grapes!!
Kudos!
Thank you! 🥰
Thank you!
9 pounds is so great! ❤❤❤
Hi Cathy
I'm watching you from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I'm 57 and went through menopause at 45, so have been post menopausal for several years already.
Sorry for the long post 😅
Best wishes
Kelley ❤
Thank you!
Great work! Best advice for you: relax! And remember that there are no bad foods. Everything can be worked into your "plate" plan, but do try to stay away from processed foods. Whole, natural foods are healthiest. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your success so far!! 😊
Thank you 😊
Using food to suppres feelings is a wonderful insight, and it makes perfectly sense.
Way to go Cathy!! So very proud of you!! I really appreciate your honesty and willingness to be open. Prayers for you and your husband 🙏
Thank you so much!
Thank you 😊
In Scotland I am also on my weight loss journey with the "fast 800", it is working for me thankgoodness. I also reached 9lb last week and am so happy, double figures soon. I use a spice topping on Greek yogurt.
2 parts ground cinnamon with 1 part ground dried chilli. I shake a small dusting on my yogurt for a wee change.
You are doing so well.
Thank you! Congrats on your weight loss!
Sugar is our drug of choice.
I know how you feel, sometimes just eating real food seems boring! And you always have to think about food and plan what uou are going to have for meals, or everything gets derailed! I also find myself eating the same things cause its easier!
Me too!
Thank you!
I am so proud of you and thank you for being an inspiration to all of Us❤
The healthy eating is straight-forward. You're right that undoing 20+ years of crazy food tapes in our head is the hard one. I too am an emotional eater. Happy, sad, stressed, busy, or bored. It's a worthy goal, and you're making solid progress. Kudos!
Thank you! ❤️
I've not heard that saying, makes sense. Thank you!
God bless us 🙏🏼 and I'm sorry to hear the news about your husband keep up the great work and stay positive ❤️ I'm going through the roller-coaster of trying to get my weight under control again and like you I struggle with eating less and snacking on chips and cookies
But I'm definitely slowly taking out the sugary foods and eating better and like you I'm not there with exercises but I feel you and nine lbs are awesome keep being you and take care thanks for sharing your journey.
Thank you so much!
I am like you, 50s...hypothyroidism...over weight...I need to lose weight and it's so frustrating
Thanks for sharing your journey. I can relate to being an emotional eater---I got tears just listening to your story. I encourage you to keep on your path. You are awesome and an inspiration. Tell your anxious self "You are not alone. You are safe, keep breathing, you can handle this." 👍👍👍❤
Thank you! 🥰
