Used to watch your dad every Saturday and Sunday morning as a kid and now I watch your shows at work during down time. Married a woman who's parents live on a lake and have a boat. Some call it true love. I call it strategic love

Fished the Hobie Open the past June, first time on KY lake...had no clue on how to fish the ledges...doing my research now and with the help of video's and guys like you willing to help share the knowledge, I'm starting to get a better idea...Being in a kayak, we are not generally big school fishermen...we have to learn to really work whatever area we can paddle to. Look forward to next June's event. Thanks to you both for the tips...appreciate it very much!!!

You're the man Scott! You're the son of arguably the best all around fisherman in the world and all time. You're dad is just as good in saltwater as fresh water and schools a lot of the saltwater guides on his show. You are one of the best right now. But you are so humble and really seem welcoming, friendly and posses a great sense of humor. The guy you fished with in this video seemed a bit arrogant and edgy and he was in ur boat on ur show. I don't know about all that for sure but I do know there's lot of arrogant dudes in this sport and your personality really shows well on tv. The sport needs that out of the best anglers to attract newbies to get into the sport and for growth of the sport.

I love watching the shows at various locations. I wish I would have watched this before fishing my last tournament on Kentucky. I plan on bringing my wife down to Florida for a guided trip... I would like her to have a chance at a monster on artificial lures. What is the best time to fish Okeechobee for giants?

    Man, what a GREAT video....
I'm a lightweight when it comes to ledge fishing, but I'm beginning to get better at it. One day I will figure it out in June. In reality though, I usually put the boat up during boating season, and use my canoe on smaller waters, and then start again around September. I really hate the crowds :)
    Again, GREAT , GREAT video.

I was wondering. Your dad fished in a couple FLW tournaments a couple years back and did pretty good. Is he going to fish anymore? I love seeing guys like him and Jimmy coming back and competing. It would be so awesome for one of them to win an event.

Scott, anymore tips, advantages and tactics that play into/with barges coming through productive ledge areas would be very appreciated. Safety tips too. I'm new to KY Lake ledge fishing. Thanks!

When the barge comes by it pulls current from a slightly different direction and much harder. The baitfish get disoriented in the bass go into a heavy feed. If you're fishing on the river and you see a barge coming go to one of your good spots before the barge gets there as it will draw the water off the bar. You will have about a 10-15 minute window of opportunity

Can anyone recommend anything for live baits during the late spring/early summer? I'm a relative novice to fishing and this is my home lake, I live in Paris. I'd just like to catch one bass, but all I've been getting over this weekend is a sunfish here and there and some small channel cats.

Why do you use a high speed reel I've always heard that 5:4:1 is best

I'm confused as to where the "instruction" is in this video. You got in the boat with Sam, went to one of his hot spots and caught fish. No instruction whatsoever. Nice sack though.
