AWESOME!!! You play the first part almost like I do - only not as sloppy!!! Now I can finish this song with the solos. Thank you - I've been looking for a good mandolin site like this.
@@RockPopMandolin I thought so. I noticed your tat and obviously the decor of the room that you film in. I am in the middle of Hyogo near Kobe. I have been looking for a place that carries mandolins and octave mandolins. Is there a music shop in Tokyo that carries these products? There isn't one in Osaka or Kobe, that I know of.
darthrabie11 Cool! Yes, there’s an entire district in Tokyo’s Ochanomizu that has music instrument shops. Several stores have mandos, octaves, etc. Various models and prices. Even some vintage Gibsons and such. There is also a good store in Shibuya that has a great selection of mandos.
love this so much!! Thank you! As a beginner it would be great to hear how you are strumming with your right hand - is it up or is it down? It almost looks like all down strokes (except of course the chords) Many thanks again for this - I was listening to this G&R song and was wondering if I could learn it on my new mando - and here you are! YEA!!!!!!
Hi. When you say to tune down to Eb so that it can be played in Db, what is each string retuned to? I'm lost on that part (I have to learn it to play with some others who play guitar). Thankyou in anticipation @
Eb tuning means just dropping each string down a half step. So the low string on the guitar goes from E to Eb, and so on. On mandolin, you could do the same. But my version here is in standard tuning.
@@RockPopMandolin Sorry, one more question. If I just play it as regularly tuned on my mando, does that mean that the rest of the band would have to slide up a half step? Or do we just play it with all of us at our normal tuning, and we'll be a half step above the album version? Thanks!

That’s great! You can slow down RUclips videos to see how I’m strumming it. Up and down strokes, I believe.
RPM RPM RPM! Thank you!
You are most welcome!! Have fun with it!
Brilliant
Thanks!!

No problem!!

@RockPopMandolin thankyou. I'll leave mine in standard tuning and sit that song out (I like your version but the others are doing it as original)
To tune the mandolin into E flat, is it just a matter of going down a half step on each string?
Yes, that would work.

Everyone should play in the same tuning.
I wish you would tab this out
Sorry mate. The videos already take a lot of time. I just don’t have time for doing tabs.
Hallo Mike, kannst du mir die Tabs auch schreiben? Grüße Bernhard
Nein.
