      @hydrafitnessexchange yes but it's on its 3rd platform,3 control boards, 1 motor, 1 flat-screen. Thankfully I bought the extended warranty

      If a treadmill has that many issues in a span of only 3 years, I'd say its more worth your money and time to sell it and get a new one that won't clunk out in such a short time. Replacing all those parts I'm pretty sure adds up to more than its worth. They shouldn't have that many problems in only three years my friend. A good treadmill will last you a long time. Of course depending on the usage and basic maintenance care aka lubing the belt. Let her rest in piece 🙏@@g.lav80

      Deck broke on my Proform as well, same model. A tech recommended to sell and get another treadmill as well.

      @@tdpc45 Shame 🥲 Def see if you can fix that deck and then sell. May get some good money for it if in decent overall condition.

    Hey man, this video helped me change the walking board on my commercial 2950!!!! Less parts than yours but the premise is the exact same. Having this video as a guide was awesome. It’s also the only video I’ve found on RUclips that was for a Nordictrack! Thank you guys. I’m now a follower!

    What's the material that the deck made of? It appears to be some kind of plywood? Are there more robust materials available, like used on conveyor belt systems (steel etc)

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  8 месяцев назад +1

      The material is a wooden composite. It's OEM deck from the manufacturer.

    • @runcycleskixc
      @runcycleskixc 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@hydrafitnessexchange Thank you! I realize that wood is softer and springer than metal, but I wonder why they would not put a metal plate with spring dampeners. Less heat build-up, too (the heat can be conducted away with the metal).

    I need to replace my belt, but was thinking since I need to take the deck off to do that I'd flip the deck to a new surface, using the untouched bottom surface which seems to be the same. I have a similar model Elite 9500. Do you recommend doing that? The treadmill is 11 years old.

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  5 месяцев назад

      You can only do it if it's rated "Reversible." Please refer to your owners manual/manufacturer for details.

    I have replaced the deck of my treadmill and I had to re-tension my belt. I lubed it and it doesn’t slip, but the speeds, which I measure using a Runn sensor, are slower than before. Any ideas what might cause this? I did not touch any settings. Could it be belt tension?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  Месяц назад +1

      It could be that the belt is too tight. Your hand should be able to reach about halfway across the underside of the belt, but no farther than that for proper tightness. Be careful with overtightening because this can actually cause the belt to fold and create more problems for your machine.

    • @areuneker
      @areuneker Месяц назад +1

      @@hydrafitnessexchange Thanks! It seems to have worked -- I had to find the optimum between the belt being too loosse and too tight. Tricky thing to do, though.

    Do you have a video about replacement or maintenence of the deck of treadmill?

  • @agvkiev
    @agvkiev Год назад +2

    Is there a difference which side to install the deck?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  Год назад

      Yes! Some decks have belt guides which are only installed on one of the sides. Other decks even have different hole shapes on either side to dictate where the part goes. So definitely take note of which side is the proper side to be facing up on your treadmill and which side should be facing down (towards the floor).

    Are Walking Pads made the same way?
    If so can I buy a cheap one that only handles 100kg and replace the board so it can support 150kg or more?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  Год назад

      We don't suggest any special modifications. It'd be best to get the walking belt that is for your model of machine since not all walking belts are the same size and are not made the same.

    Had my Nordic track for 3 yrs140km of running and found out deck is split 😢😢how does this happen ? I’m 60 kg and run once a week ? Should Nordic cover this?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  2 месяца назад

      Considering the length of time you had it and the mileage, we recommend you reach out to NordicTrack about the issue. Also check your warranty and see if deck coverage is in there.

    Is the Nordic Track 2950 about the same as this?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  Год назад

      Depending on your model it may have some similarities, as all treadmills do, but generally no. The 2950 isn't about the same. The rails are different and there isn't a 1 piece shroud covering the rear roller. You can still use this video though as a good reference on how to remove/replace a deck from a treadmill. Overall the steps are the same for any machine. You will come across slight differences like in your case there not being a 1 piece rear shroud cover. Regardless, it shouldn't be too hard of a task to remove knowing the general steps. Hope this helps!

    Why they make the decks of such a fragile material?

    • @hydrafitnessexchange
      @hydrafitnessexchange  Год назад +1

      Some decks aren't as fragile. Depends on the machine and brand. Some treadmills are made for older folk to simply walk on and others are made to last for intense running. You'll see a variety of deck sizes and thickness if you take apart enough.
