I just did this yesterday on my 1987 300TD. It was a very simple replacement.

Great job! I am about to do this on my 124, together with new dampers and springs :)

I would Recommend to Rent or borrow a Ball Joint Install & Removal Tool for back up.

Good idea. I have a tool that I use for steering links joints. I will try it first :) @@itcanbedone4721

If you are near an Auto parts Store that has free loaner tools for Ball Joint Removal and Installation.
Get it. Have it as Back up. When you are Finished you get your Deposit Back. That is what I did For the 1986 300E Video Dated Nov 24, 2023 It went alot Easier. Instead of Swinging away with a Mallet. Hoping Not to hit the Fender.

Great video! Hi guys wanna ask, is there any difference between arm & balljoint of w124 4cyl and 6cyl?

What I did was go to RockAuto.com and compared parts between a1988 300e and a 1984 190 e. From the website it looks the same part numbers. Do your research for a confirmation. Thank you.

The ball joint came out to easy and went in to easy you cannot just use a jack without bashing hell out of the lower arm
