I love that it's made in Canada. UL certified and comes with very high grade components (aluminum box/ high grade cable). I'm happy with mine so far and it works great for my Tesla 3. Looks like a solid piece of engineering.
Thanks for the tour of the factory and development dept. I saw this is a super built unit, and it was the highest rated of all UL-ULC rated models made in N.America! so I bought one for my car-port and so happy since this thing is built like a Tank - rock solid, not plastic junk it is built to be Tough. Super job guys, we will be looking for a second one in a few years for an E-Truck !
Outstanding presentation! On top of the fact that all components are made and assembled in North America, they appears to be of the highest quality with great attention to detail. I love that. Getting my Tesla in a few weeks and I will be proud to purchase your product. All the reviews I have seen all rate Grizzl-e the highest. I hope to add my review to those as well. Great job, United Chargers!
I have one charger - it is the NEMA 14-50 plug version. I take it from my Toronto house to the Quebec cottage and vice vera. The unit is awesome - very very rugged. I picked up the unit in person at the place in Markham - everyone was very nice. They gifted me a coffee mud (thanks) I recommend Grizzl-e to everyone.
I bet this dude works way more than 40 hours/week growing this business! I bought a Grizzle earlier this year for two cars and it has been without fault or issue. Domestic competitors were significantly more expensive and the cheaper Chinese chargers had too many iffy reviews. Would buy again.
Just saw this unit on Electrek and decided to get one for my rental house. Very low price which includes the 18 foot J1772 cable but I opted for the 24 foot cable at only $20 US more: total $419 plus free shipping. A great deal for a 10kw capable charger! Nearest competition unit was over $565 plus shipping charges on top of that. Looking forward to putting this Grizzl-e into service.
I got the charger from Amazon, installed it and it died in 5 mins. I called grizzle and they gave me replacement on same day and it has been working fine since that day.
I assume moving parts on the PCB is a reference to latching solenoid relays. Guess that means Mosfet. I'm no EE, but that sounds like a good thing. I bet solenoids catch in cold climate. Seems like the unit is designed with special consideration for cold weather, e.g. the cable's dielectic cover stays flexible due to resin spec. Was interesting they came out and said here is our CM. Most companies like to pretend they can do everything by themselves.
Charger has some parts made in China, like input cable for example. We are working on having all parts made in North America by the end of next year, 2022.
I don't understand. The speaker talks about how the unit is sealed with a specific humidity that never changes. Then a few minutes later, he states that a dip switch has to be set for the output of the device. The internal humidity changes when you open the device to change the dipswitch.
You got what you paid for, Don’t blame the qualities of Chinese products, They can make good products too, Blame the greedy business man, They import cheap stuff from China sell high in North America.
can you access the dip switches after it is in our possession? What if I need to change from 32A to 40A? Can I do it myself? The front plate can come off?
If you want customer support for this charger, don't buy it. To get the wifi connection to Ampup or Charglab to work you must take the unit apart and input a horrendously long string of text. Even then, don't expect it to work. I had mine for 3 months when it died completely. The did send me a refurbished unit after two weeks but the case had a chip in the paint and the charge cable was dirty and sticky - like it was left outside for a long time in the sun. It does charge your car just fine - at least for a time.
If your generator can produce stable at least 16 amps of power, you can adjust DIP switches on the unit to be limited by 16 amps (or whatever is your generator output - 16,24, 32 or 40 amps) and use directly from your generator.
You are correct, the charger is located in the electric vehicle but rather than call it an EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) it's less confusing, especially to someone new to EV's, to call it a "charger'".
It basically is a switch, with some additional data pins that tell the car "Hey, I'm capable of putting out 32 amps, don't try to pull more than that please!"
I bought one after watching Tom's State Of Charge review and I've been very happy with it so far.

I bought one for our new EV. Impressed by it's robust construction and 3 year warranty. Made in Canada sealed it for me! Looks and works great!
Just bought one, high rating and built in North America! can't wait to install and use

Thank you!!!! Our goal is to make EV charging more affordable and reliable. This will speed up Electric mobility adoption!

Thank you! My Juicebox charger had died for the second time and warranty work is such a pain from Canada. Ordering your charger tonight
I just installed mine. I can't wait to get my ID.4 to use it.
Made in North America with North American parts, and very well engineered board. Will be placing my order soon! Great video.

Can they do an update to this video? For the marketing dept I guess I have the avalanche edition that i got a year ago. Working great still.
Update is filmed and in edit now, will be released soon.
nice unit,, luv the mini :))
Thank you for the video. I am from Montreal, QC - highly considering it to buy Grizzle charger for my Rav4 Prime.
Waiting for my delivery - Can’t wait to plug in my i3 !
Thank you for your purchase! I am sure you will enjoy it!
I love mine ! Seems a little over qualified for my Kia Soul but it’s going to be a great match for my CyberTruck !
Very promising, thank you !
How can I get one of the owners manual? Just installed one but there wasn’t a manual included in the box
I bought this charger because it was not made in China. We need to support North American companies.
This is definitely my next charger when my juicebox dies again.

Can the classic be hardwire ??
Yes of course
Where do we buy it for a jeep right now what’s the cost
So what is the box on the floor in the bottom left starting at 3:44 that clearly says "Made In China" for?

You not going to open the charger at 100 percent humidity. Once you close the lid, it will get sealed again.
Is it car charger??
Fantastic: "everything is done in Canada...parts coming from the USA...nothing outsourced in China", great selling point for North American customers.

Yes of course. Please refer to the manual on grizzl-e.com web site on how to do it.
I’ve done it. Not difficult :)
Thank you. I have a Mach-E on order and I plan to upgrade my charger from my current 16amp charger is use for my focus BEV…
Can you clarify what you mean by "cUL Field Tested"? Is the unit cUL listed/certified or no? Does it have a certification label?
Yes it has cUL certification label which is recognized by all authorities in both USA and Canada.
Yes it does have certification label of course!

Looking for one of these that I can plug in to a generator... the one I have will not... Enel.

А cкидка для бывших сограждан есть? :)
It's not a charger. It's just a switch. They all are. The chargers are built into the cars, as I understand it.
It's like an interface to the ev on board charger.
