Welcome to another POV video on our RUclips channel!
In this video, you'll get to know the new details of the i30N (performance pack), such as the sound, accelerations, and launch control.
Please note that the floor was slippery and the conditions weren't ideal, but it was just a test to show you how it is used. The time taken from 0-100km/h was not possible to measure due to weather conditions.
The N DCT automatic gearbox is wonderful, it responds very fast and is very competent in faster rhythms.
However, it is possible to make averages between 7.5L - 8.0L on the highway, keeping a constant speed.

A caixa N DCT é maravilhosa, responde muito rápido e bastante competente em ritmos mais apressados.
Contudo, é possível fazer médias na casa dos 7.5L - 8.0L em autoestrada, mantendo uma velocidade constante.

The I30n is a super awesome car, drives well and comfortable, and has incredible powet when you need it. I drive an i20n and it's the same story there, amazing hot hatches for the price tag

This should replace the veloster N in the states its so much better looking than the 120N elantra and veloster n. They should keep the weight down bump the power a bit and offer awd as well. biggest gripes are the infotainment screens look like they're a child's toy genisis has nice ones use them. Premium stereo system? Probably a must interior ambient lighting would be cool getting rid of the blue buttons and if they go digital display I hope they make thr layouts sleek and sporty less child's tablet. Black background red needles white numbers like they have now. Could even do a center tach speedo like the rs3 or something.
This is already on the level or beyond a gti club sport and tcr for way less money... if they keep the weight down they could make it as fast or faster than a mk8 golf r wich will run 0-60 in 4 seconds some times less and hit the 1/4 in 12.4/12.3 keep all the awesome add to it bump the power a bit

Pues cuando tenga 10.000, al mio le faltan mil y algo, pues a revision, se paga y se continua con el tan contento. Y luego pasada la fiebre, el hacerte a el pues se quedara en el garage para los findes y ya tardara mucho mas en hacer los siguientes dies mil.

i30n or a cupra 300.. cant decide :(
Hello @UnlimitedAuto.
I can't use launch control at my i30N DCT. I close the windows, fasten seatbelts, select N Mode, activate Launch Control from the menu, press the brake and then throttle but the rpm's are not skipping. What is my fault? Any ideas?

I should press the throttle on a sudden.
I didn't like the DCT experience on the I30N. I think the manual transmission is the best solution for this engine and dynamics. With the manual transmission, the I30N is a fantastic hot hatch, with DCT it loses some fun and charm. Well done great POV, congrats.

Unoriginal comment. The DCT is excellent.
95% of comfort driving still yes for this insame automatic. But you can give N-DCT to the manual mode if you need it. this automat gearbox have only possitives - car is faster, better lounch, if you need it is quieter - not so noisy in NORMAL mode, more cultivated and adult car
I´m not agree with you. Mine is DCT a fantastic dual gearbox. Dani Cuadrado best and very fast youtuber in Spain says that gearbox are at the same level than PDK de Porsche

How’s the fuel on everyday town runs or driving to work in eco mode?
Mine is like 9Liters per 100km. When I drive in low gears with high rpm its about 12,5L
Town runs are 11L per 100km

280HP on FWD ? Doesnt seem like a good idea ... isn't it too heavy at front ? I wish i30n had RWD or AWD.
I does have an electronically controlled limited slip differential (eLSD) which works pretty well ☺
1:34 How to minimize your engine's lifespan:
Step 1: Turn the engine on.
Step 2: Immediately smash the throttle for a great 0-100.
Important: Don't let the engine warm up.
I see that coolant is about 90 degrees. So it's not cold.

automatic gear is different to my caddys. Google translate: Upshifting is backwards, downshifting is forwards, like rally cars. Caddys and Leon 300cv is the opposite
