- This is a demonstration for educational purposes of a public and real port of Kasane Teto for the VOCALOID engine in which, Teto's recordings for UTAU were edited and repacked into a existing VOCALOID voicebank by @_Merley.

@@helloworld-xp7xy late, but it's definitely possible, by taking apart the ddb file (the voicebank file), you can get the original wavs used for the bank (they're spliced but yeah, the relatively raw wavs, vocaloid ddbs are weirdly bloated partially due to the compression method), replace said samples, and recompile, and BAM, fan made vocaloid, the quality will be rather horrible though

The UTAU version sounds more realistic, which is kinda scary??? The VOCALOID version sounds more robotic and glitchy

The vocaloid version is unofficial-- fan made
And is using UTAU samples.
The engine is probably trying to figure out why the hell she's doing what she's doing, and adjust accordingly (also we don't know what Version of Vocaloid this is. Probably V2 or V3)
@@Aurora-Pi made that port, it's an edit of vy1 lite voicebank ddb of vocaloid mobile. 422 samples edited for being similar as possible to vy1's.
Well, that's what happens when you edit samples to fit something else, since these vocaloid ports are done via editing the samples to fit an existing vocaloid bank, and then replacing the samples. The reason why the samples are edited is because regular people don't have access to the vocaloid dev kit, meaning one would have to resort to taking apart an existing bank, editing samples to fit the original banks pitch (exactly too, or it'll go off pitch quite a lot), and then packing in those edited samples into a ddb file (the vocaloid voicebank format), and because the samples are edited so much, the engine renders it like so, heavily edited, there's also the fact that vocaloid's engine has a tendency of boosting weird frequencies
@@Aurora-P not really, it's more due to the fact that Teto's samples were heavily edited to match the pitch of an existing vocaloid db to replace samples of, which is how you make these ports, an issue of this method is that unless you use a good tool to edit the pitch, the samples will usually come out rather butched, consonants suffer the most from this kind of pitch correction, especially if you use audacity pitch correcting, if you want to, you could consider using autotune or any better tool than audacity built in plugins

The Utau one is less laggy and robotic, but the vocaloid one is more smooth. I like utau better.

i do really like teto's voice in utau, it sounds like it has a life-like texture to it- which may not make sense, but while she is singing, it also kind of sounds like she is giggling?
Probably because they didn’t use something in UTAU properties.
I know they used moresampler, and the reason why she’s sounds a bit shaky, it’s because they didn’t use the intensity of the voice to make it on pitch if your using any resampler.

UTAU Teto sounds like a REAL child wtf she even sounds like she has spit coming out of her mouth when she says sounds like "s" "sh" "th". Can someone explain to me how they made her sound so real? It's so different from vocaloids' clearer voice and singular notes.

The design also helps with this thought, she really has the body of a pre-teen, while her Vocaloid design is more of a 16 year old girl, like Miku
