Difference between VCV and CVVC is that VCV are easier to use than CVVC but CVVC is more easy to record. For example I write one word "arigato" in VCV style and CVVC: " -a, a ri, i ga, a to " and " -a ar ri ig ga at to " .
CVVC can use the same recordings as VCV if you want to, The only difference is how you use it & how you OTO it.
@@underscoredotpng correct, and since you can use the same recordings for both, that also means you can make a vcv+cvvc vb, since you can simply put cvvc and vcv type aliases on the same oto.ini file, though it will take a lot more time to oto it than just a regular vcv or cvvc vb

synthV takes the cake on most realistic and versatile. It's kind of insane

In UTAU you just need to set crossfade and pitch automation (that's what it's called, I believe) for the notes to have smoother transitions. It works with any voicebank type
Saki LITE is monopitch compared to her paid and AI voice, Genbu for example will start singing louder if he hits high notes.(Love Is War Genbu is epic lol)
Should I purchase rika pro for English? I heard there was a feature that allowed ai vbanks to sing in English, so does it work and is she worth it?

Defoko is great! Realistic synths are good, but sometimes it's the fact they're artificial that makes them appealing.
Robotic-sounding utaus is so unique~ There are some Utaus similar to Defoko, like Adachi Rei and DecTalk Paul that don't have any human voice providers. They are either created through Text-To-Speech or just pure synthesized voices, but they rarely get love from people. Since people these days are more focused on realistic voices...

@@megu.a just to make sure, you do know that defoko has a voice provider right? she may have come from a text-to-speech program, but someone still had to record all the syllables for that. All the sounds she can make are definitely from an actual human person haha
Defoko kicks ass. Hella compressed and robotic voices sound amazing for metal and hardcore electronic.
my favorite song that utilizes defoko is There's No Sunrise or Sunset
defoko's voice somehow doesn't have the choppiness displayed in this video and sounds really smooth

You missed Alter/Ego which is free too but honestly you don't miss out on much, there's only 3 voices available, all free, 4 if you find the discontinued one that's still around online and one more if you get the "unofficial" (I don't get what happened) voice
I think they can all sing in both English and Japanese except for one, ALYS who sings in French and Japanese, she used to be a paid voicebank but since the company who made her closed her creator decided to give her licence for free and keep her voice alive and available with support and even shared her utau prototype and her very first utau voicebank

I think so, if synth v is vbs AI and well tuned, because if you put a well tuned vb of synth v AI in Neutrino, I think it's a real voice

@@ethannnnn31 the tunings are better together with the voices, but they still haven't reached the level of synth v and I believe they won't because the utau system has been abandoned, so synth v is getting update after update
After I heard how Chis-A sounded i was shocked in a good way!! I always thought that CeVio's sounded bad because of how much the audio files were compressed. That was the case for One... this surprised me

Because this program, unlike utau, is truncated in functionality, so it's easier to use OPENutau.
I think I heard it's harder to develop/configure voicebanks for and a lot of people feel like it isn't as versatile as utau (I also personally prefer deepvocal's editor, though openutau had mitigated most of my previous issues with utau)

Okay, but seriously, OpenUtau is slightly different than Utau. I use Utau to tune my USTs (heck i even use utau to tune my VSQX files for vocaloid), but if i want to input vocals or make a UST, OpenUtau is way easier, since it automatically renders everything super fast and it's much easier to input vocals into.
Only thing is that in my experience, even if you use the same resamplers, it can make the voicebanks sound completely different.

And Lilinka had my interest. Her wobbly voice somehow is wonderful to hear, just need a bit fixing on the 'aah'. I wish there are more song ultilize on engine pitch changes

And user-friendly af, I would instead make a cvvc bank than a vcv one since it's a lot less time-consuming and pretty much the same quality in terms of smoothness.

i think chis-a is really realistic, especially the voice straints but my personal opinion on it is that its a bit too noisy? its like grating a fork on a plate in a very annoying way

I heard namine ritsu in utau sound more realistic than anything I have ever heard of and Cevio don't even compare when it comes to certain things. I know it can go the other way around but still.........

Interesting I was learning and wanted to decide between Deepvocal and OpenUtau first think going through Deepvocal starts easier which works for me, however, I would transition to Utau once I needed more voices and features.

Some Synth V and UTAU voicebanks can (and probably others too I just don't know much about them)
synth v has kevin, eleanor forte, solaria, tsurumaki maki, and anri for english currently released but the cross-lingual synthesis feature makes it so that ai voicebanks can be used for other languages :) as for utau you just have to look around for voicebanks
adding to this you can get lite versions of Solaria, Anri & Tsurumaki Maki (AI and Standard) for free to try out. Eleanor Forte standard is free as well.

most synthv voicebanks can now be used in english even is the voicebank is traditionally another language! you just need synthv pro and a paid voicebank and the majority of them work in chinese, japanese, and english
fun fact deepvocal uses the same source code as vocaloid 1
the creator had some connections and just made a different UI for vocaloid 1

I barely used it but I just didn't like it personally
They said that it would be easier to get used to than utau but from my own experience it was the opposite(probably because utau was the first vocal synth I ever used)
Maybe if I actually tried to get used to it, it would feel simple but I didn't bother
I think it's decent but for me it always shows up as Chinese when I start it up.
Also I can't build a voicebank by myself even though I watched a tutorial :/

The voicebank that’s used in hello world is from an old paid vocal synth called “myriad virtual singer” which can be quite costly. However, a good free alternative would definitely in my opinion be dectalk paul VCCV! He sounds robotic yet soft and realistic at the same time, and works very well with English in openutau! Hope this helps!
