Yeah boy! Wintertime tools are BACK! Wedges, axes, splitting mauls, and chainsaws! Tara's, you should look for unique chainsaw bars like the Sugi Harra and then some 1/4" chain bars for a bigger saw! That would be pretty cool, the biggest 1/4 bar on a Stihl 880!
I have a set of three that are different sizes that I inherited from my grandfather and have been used many times. Good to see that you can still get them
@@lispyDribbler it's better than most steel found from all parts of the world, one of the thing that makes it so amazing is that it has rare elements naturally found in it and that causes it to hold such a beautiful Edge and be so resistant to work, I'm from Canada and most of the axes that are well known around here are Swedish made for a reason

Man i gotta saj i do miss slpiting wood it was the thing i most liked when we went logging since i wasnt allowed to have a chinsaw i breaked those in half or more
More width causes more friction going in ..but the thin will also cut deeper in softer wood on the sides reducing the wedge effect .. so I suppose it's a balance between the two ... depends on what kind of wood you are splitting ..
Ah the memories
He was kinda my internet dad that shows me cool stuff then goes away for 2 days to look for more cool stuff
So true

Exactly. Miss my dad. 😢

well said 😉

My man didn’t go anywhere. It is you who is back!
It works so well, I’m stumped
Nice
You should be cancelled
You wood have thought it would split sooner for the price!
Oh wow. It works just like any other splitting wedge
Oak splits soooo nice, but I dunno if I'd spend $100 on a wedge
Right rather put that towards a nice axe
Y EAH 100buck what’s so special 🤣🤣 25 bucks max
Some people
thats ash wood lol
That's Ash I think 🇬🇧✌️ similar bark
If you think that's oak...you will need two wedges
Crazy Russian Lumberjack !! Lol !!
He does split wood a lot.
It is more about the wood then a 100$ piece of steel.
I work in a machine shop and immediately realize how easy it would be to make lol

This is the correct insight.

Made in Sweden.... Self explanatory 💯
The Swedes are good at everything they do, and even better when it comes to wood cutting tools.
Could be they know those Morakniv people?
@@appalachiangunman9589they're good at importing muslims in Europe and for being woke/lgbt/feminist/immigrationists.
Nothing special about these wedges. In fact they are inferior to classic wedges
Is there a fork and spoon and toothpick hidden somewhere on it?

*gadgiks
The way the bark split from the wood made me happy.
A splitting wedge is one of those things you only buy once in a lifetime if it’s a good product. We have one from 80+ years and still going
>if it’s a good product
For a wedge literally all that entails is that it’s made of metal
We’ve been using harbor freight wedges for years at my house
Also, for my unorganized dumbSS, sometimes it can be faster to buy a cheap tool than to find the one that is in my shed
$100? I got a plasma cutter and some scrap 3/4" plate in the garage.
I'm going to be rich!
HB make GREAT axes too!
❤❤❤ You... Been watching you for over a year...
Your very accurate with your swings
Made in Sweden my country i was born and raised in 🇸🇪🇸🇪👍🏼
Ahh u realise ur birthplace jus now💀
Literally the most satisfying thing I’ve done ever

I still have my grandfather's axe, it's had four new heads, five new handles and three wedges and it's still going strong 💪💪💪💪💪

I got one off Wish for $3, will test it when it gets here.
Will it last a hundred years?
Love when he says drive it in a little bit cuts video and it's half way in 😂
Great job and green wood to ok

Feget abauuutiiiiit
Boom
You got a Fiskars Maul there? Best thing I ever bought.
I got a Fiskars splitting axe! It works amazingly well. It's light and sharp and if I'm using it in the woods it's orange so it's hard to lose it.
It does the same thing as any other wedge.its just fancy
Tell me more about how you know nothing about splitting wood 🤓
If I wanted to explain things to a child I would have had 1

That log must have been pretty soft, rotten or already splitting for a 2" ? wedge to split something that diameter.
