Agreed, like you could make some for the mace, that rarely spawn near trial chambers at the surface, and teach them about things like wind burst.
You could also make a maze with lots of mobs and trial spawners in it, where the ground is covered in soul sand and soul soil. In the maze there would be chests that would give you boots and soul speed enchants, so that in later sections, you could use them to escape the overflow of mobs? (This one would be rarely founding the nether.)
Another fun idea: make a maze with warden blocks that make you blind, so you need to find night vision potions in it, and use them to find the warden blocks.
One last idea before going, you could make a room filled with water spots, and it would give you a trident, with only a bit of durability, and it could teach players how to use the riptide enchantment to shoot through narrow spaces, for a reward.
Sorry to make such a long comment, just had some ideas

    Ideas:
Jungle stronghold could have various redstone contraptions like the jungle temple.
Mushroom Fields could have mushrooms generate on top as an extra thing to add more variety. Yes I'm aware strongholds don't generate here but it would be nice.
Mountains could be mostly the same as vanilla but well like modernized/rebuilt like how you did the rest.
Plains. Honestly I just think it would be really funny if it was just flat. Minimal height variations.

      Mob ideas:
Jungle stronghold could have cave spiders. A few rare variants: wither, weakness or slowness. The rarest variant however could be a smaller, faster spider with more health but deals less damage.
Mushroom Fields could have zombies wearing mooshroom heads, speed and have axes. A rare variant could be that but without the axe causing to to deal less damage but attack and move faster.
Mountains could be goats and goat riders lol. If possible have the goats attack more frequently.
Plains. Continuing with the idea of "I think it would be really funny" can you make passive mobs hostile? I know that you can have an invisible baby zombie ride a pig but I don't know if you can just have a lone pig be hostile. Pigs, cows, sheep and rarely non hostile versions.

The plains would be interesting if it was just a large sprawling underground complex making use of trail ruins designs using terracotta and clay, dirt and mud chambers and storage rooms, wood and mossy supports holding everything up. Thank you for the amazing work and creativity put into this video, hope to see more, once again thank you for helping make my day.
    Ideas:
Ice spikes: You have been talking about a snowy biome, well what about another frozen one? This stronghold could include tons of could rooms with unique challenges like parkour and also custom hostile mobs like polar bears, you could add powdered snow traps, and even more!
Dark forest: In this stronghold you could add tree rooms, with routes between mushrooms and trees, with lots of hostile mobs spawning below, like creepers and skeletons. In addition this stronghold could have pillager rooms with cool unique structures inside, that also connects to the lore we know about pillagers seeking to rescue the ancient builders from the end. It could also contain a rare pale garden room, that looks like an actual garden, and has a incredibly difficult challenge, complete with red stone, and daytime/nighttime creaking. The garden rom could be filled with incredibly loot though.

I like the ideas of rare rooms that have strange features after seeing the ship in the bottle makes me think having rare “anomalies” with strange things in the stronghold that have a much lower spawn weight to add the feature of “rare room hunting” which may encourage players to find more of a stronghold to see these special rooms in their world they may also include stuff like special different loot tables that may not even be related to the stronghold.

Some thoughts. First, I think it would have been cool to have an airlock hallway of some sort to act as a horizontal transition between flooded and unflooded sections. Secondly, I think it would have been neat to have a rare chance of drowned in unflooded sections, even if limited to certain rooms, just as a way to highlight an amusing mechanic. Lastly, I think you could have used scripting similar to the traps to have chests where the only "loot" is that it releases bubbles and refills your air.

I think it would be great if, upon completing the portal, the player released a "Beacon" that would pass through the blocks. And this beacon would give the player some buffs, such as night vision and regeneration maybe.
Nothing too overpowered, just something to make exploration easier after completing the portal and encourage the player to return to the Strongholds and build something there.
And I even think it's pretty cool to imagine a beacon light the size of the portal, which would help players find the portal even above the surface, but only after activating them.

This is such a cool idea and a much needed modernization of Minecraft's penultimate challenge. I especially love how certain mobs are being recontextualized for these structures, like the Sandstorm Breezes and the modified Elder Guardians. It's a nice way to help make these features more cohesive and has me thinking a lot about the potential for other biome Strongholds. One idea I've had is in regards to Forest Strongholds, where they could utilize Ravagers and Vexes as proper solo mobs in reference to Woodland Mansions, as other Illager mobs might be a bit out-of-place for Strongholds.
I also like that other structures are being referenced here, like the Desert Pyramid room in the Desert Stronghold and the Conduit structure in this video's Stronghold. One thought I've had in regards to this is the Plains Stronghold; I feel like a lot of folks have already brought up the idea that this could stick closer to the original Stronghold's design, but I think it would be fun to also have it reference the designs of other early Minecraft structures, like Monster Rooms and Mineshafts. Maybe this could even still utilize Monster Spawners alongside Trial Spawners, to reinforce it being more retro in design.

    • @CedarGraysmith
      @CedarGraysmith Месяц назад

The ocean one also uses the shipwreck in the ship in a bottle, also for plains it could be interesting to have a small tiny camp inside with a few scientist villagers. While you might say that thatdoesnt make sense, here's my idea: a lot of people think that pillagers and other pillagers are villagers that had been inspired by the ancient builders, and when the ancient builders vanished into the end, tried to follow them, we think this because many structures biomes and mobs seem to be copy's of the ancient builders things. The illagers have also tried to recreate end portals. However, some villagers didn't care so much, and didn't try to find the ancient builders, that's why all the other illagers don't like them.
Assuming that theory is correct (it's backed by a lot of evidence) what if some of the villagers who wanted to find the ancient builders went to a stronghold to do research, and have stayed normal villagers, while the rest were turned gray and corrupted by the creaking heart? So these scientists were still at the stronghold doing research?
While what I just said is probably hard to understand (mostly cuz of bad grammar and spelling) if you do some research, and look into it, this could make sense.
OK, that's enough explaining of whether villagers might be in the plains stronghold (in a very rare room that is always found next to libraries or the portal room) here are a few mechanics I thought of: These scientists could trade with you for underwear's, or even blaze powder, because they were researching how to light the portal. This could giv more diversity in speedruns, allowing the player to gain emeralds in hope of trading with the villagers. These villager camp things could even have books with set writing in them about stuff they have figured out.
I think this would be a cool idea to add a tiny difference to the plains stronghold, which most people are just saying should be very normal.
If anybody read all this, thank you for taking the time.

Rather than giving the player a potion of water breathing, perhaps you could have pufferfish spawn within the stronghold. Then brewing stations could be added as a seperate POI, or to other areas like the bed room.
Most players will have blaze powder with them if they are headed to a stronghold. And if you integrate obsticles which are eased by potion effects into other biome strongholds, they will also have a reason to bring nether wart and other brewing ingredients.
    Here are some examples:
    - fire res for lava traps and fire obstacles
    - slow falling, speed and jump boost for navigating vertical drops, large jumps and other impasses en route to the end portal
    - night vision for darkness effect

The portal room is also difficult to find and on all four sides of the portal room, there are silverfish spawners. stronghold idea: a stronghold that got invaded by illagers. this would have a more accessible entrance (still hidden but closer to the surface), traps and entrances guarded by vindicators, evokers and pillagers. you could also incorporate puzzles that need illager specific items to be solved (like a puzzle in which two small slimes are in a 1x1 tube divided by slabs. the slimes would be on pressure plates. if the slimes are killed simultaneously with a piercing crossbow the door or whatever it is opens but i only one is killed, everyting explodes). this would be a dark forest stronghold

A ruined stronghold would be cool. It should be kinda based off the forgettable trail ruins where some rooms would be at varying levels of ruin. The walls would be made of mud, terracotta, fences, cobbled walls, stuff like that.
Some rooms and halls could be in perfect condition, while others could be caved in and have piles of cobblestone, cobbled deepslate, and ores covering the floor and possibly another room entrance. There would be few threats from mobs, and spawn rates may even be halved. The main challenge is to break the debris to find new rooms until you find the portal room. You may discover what seems to be several grand portal rooms until you realize the frames are visibly broken and cannot be interacted with at all. The real portal room is actually in a very simple room with the normal layout of the vanilla stronghold's portal room.
Edit: forgot to say that this would spawn in old growth biomes.
