@@talklesslistenmore5578 Yeah it is. Most parents who struggled growing up but have a better life as an adult now, always say they want to give their children a better life than what they had and give them things they never had.
Giving your child a better life doesn't mean giving them everything you never had. It's teaching her to be a better person, and preparing her to be a contributing member of society. Appearance contributes to that, but if she had two outfits and cheap shoes, she could still be all those things and more.🤦🏽♀️
Indeed she can but if that’s what she wants to do for her daughter than that’s her choice, obviously her daughter wanted these things so she made it happen.
Exactly, and then call it healing inner child smh. Your inner child resides within you, so you heal her by taking care of yourself. You cannot parent your child as if she is you.
but her daughter enjoys it. She is pouring love into her daughter. Think of it this way, if a parent grew up never going to good schools and now made absolute sure their kids went to the best schools is that called “living vicariously?” No, it isn’t. It is called building your kids up and making damn sure they want for nothing. All those roadblocks and obstacles are disappearing. Sometimes it feels like we only do this to black people. Specifically black mothers. That baby is living her best life.
@@themotherlanderI also do this for my daughter... but she's not out here looking 25. We get facials. She's learned to love her own thick and full natural lashes. We get rid of a few stray hairs around her brows because they're otherwise prefect. She gets gel manicures because acrylics can tear your nails up and she's grown them out so they're long on their own anyway. She baby's her real hair and we rarely put heat on it... hardly ever blow dry it. So she wears her natural curls, which she loves, and her hair is nearly hip length. And she doesn't show unnecessary skin. Because she's 15. And looks 15. And loves who she is as she, and feels no desire or need for enhancements. Because there's nothing to enhance. No need to look like a real housewife at her age. No reason for older men to confuse her for anything more than what she is.

i am probably baby compared to you guys. i tried wigs, weaves and everything I between as well… at 19. and by 21 i hate it all. before that i wasn’t allowed hair extensions past my shoulders and no colours. i appreciate that rule from my mother because it helped me to appreciate my 5c hair haha. i spent like 300 on a weave and i removed it after 2 days. and before i removed it i said “i have never appreciated my 4c hair as much as i ever had”. people were saying the hair suits me and they like the new hair but my real friends were like “but do you really like it?”. 300 down the drain but next hairstyle will likely be short braids again. even my hairdresser be like “you should try colours and curly!” but that’s not me. not changing my african culture to fit western societal norms. i respect my age mates doing all of this but a 16 year old?! i can’t lie my biggest worry at 16 were my grades. this is what school uniform is for. if it wasn’t allowed at school why should it be allowed at home. and maybe because i wore uniform up until 16 i just adopted that culture again i respect young women but this mother saying she’s “appreciating her inner child”… in my culture 16 is still a child therefore i think the mum is too lenient to allow any of this. people can argue “16 year olds can reveal their chest it’s no big deal” but that is the age they are changing physically and biologically. they need that time to grow and accept their new bodies. strutting it off to everyone is inappropriate… or maybe im just raised ultra conservative

I would be concerned about teaching my daughter that her natural appearance, or that she in general, is not beautiful or enough as she is... During the most insecure, impressionable, emotionally challenging, and developmental period in her life. I understand wanting to give your babies what you didn't have... I'm just saying coupling these kinds of choices with social media, and you have a recipe for children with crippling insecurity whose sense of self worth is externalized, and rooted in everything other than who they are naturally. I also think her appearance communicates that she's much older than she really is and will definitely lead to older men pursing her sexually despite her being a minor (she looked her age before).
Nothing about this women says she isn’t instilling natural beauty into her daughter, they just had a fun girls day and made her feel pretty before going back to school. Have you never painted your nails, shopped for clothes, or got your eyebrows waxed with your mom before? Times are different and this is what’s cool for younger kids. I’m 26, don’t really care for fake nails or painting mine, but I would always get a sew-in, braids, or do something with my hair, but new clothes and shoes, and get my eyebrows waxed before the first day. I have issues with my self image but that’s because me and my mom have issues in our relationship and she would leave me at these places by myself so I wasn’t spending time with her. This mother is “healing her inner child” by being able to provide for her and give her what she couldn’t as a child which is something a lot of parents do. The only thing I would really say is that I don’t know any school where they would let her show off her belly like that, but she still looks like a child to. You can see it in her face. Older guys would probably still try to talk to her even if she didn’t dress like that because it happens especially to young black girls, so she shouldn’t enhance her beauty because of men? Her daughter seemed happy before and she seems happier now because she’s spending time with her mom, doing girly things, and her mom is hyping her up instead of being jealous. I think this mom is doing a great job.
Don't apologize for doing more or better for your child. Only silly folks would make you feel guilty for that. A child's confidence is real. You are a great mom for pouring into her. Ask some of the folks who were teased relentlessly and even as an adult they feel that pain. While all of our children have to learn how to handle criticism and bounce back, you are doing well to help her feel good about herself! GREAT MOM and BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER.

This sends a false message to a growing child/teen. That they have to look like mini adults to attend school. There's a difference, teach them to maintain and upkeep their appearance without having to do too much. Regular mani/pedi hair done, no wigs. You are not falsely changing your appearance for more likes and attention with the extra stuff. Teach them to like how they look and feel without adding anything to change their appearance. Make sure they are comfortable just being themselves. Or they will get so attach to the outter appearance wigs lashes nails, give them that they will not want to go anywhere without the extra shit. Now it is okay if they are going to a party event or something that they can then get all doll up. Just have to know the time and place to switch up they appearance.
This lady did more than shop. She also implemented maintenance on this child that she herself would have wanted as a kid. Never one saying it's what her kid always wanted.
I totally understand as a single mother of two amazing girls. My daughter never knew the sacrifices I made for her to keep her hair weave to get her the Jordans that she wanted that came out. I save that money I sacrificed we didn’t have that. I have had a summer job since I was 12 years old because I lied and told him I was 15 because my parents could not afford to literally get us anything, they did what they could. I did not know that we were poor because of the neighborhood we lived in back in the day in San Francisco but I had two hard-working parents that love me so I knew how to love my girls and I still love them care for them And I would do anything for them to push them to their purpose and to build their self-esteem and make them the great young ladies that I know that they can be so hands down to you as an amazing, amazing mother you keep up the amazing job that you are doing with your baby girl 💕💕💕💕👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

i am probably baby compared to you guys. i tried wigs, weaves and everything I between as well… at 19. and by 21 i hate it all. before that i wasn’t allowed hair extensions past my shoulders and no colours. i appreciate that rule from my mother because it helped me to appreciate my 5c hair haha. i spent like 300 on a weave and i removed it after 2 days. and before i removed it i said “i have never appreciated my 4c hair as much as i ever had”. people were saying the hair suits me and they like the new hair but my real friends were like “but do you really like it?”. 300 down the drain but next hairstyle will likely be short braids again. even my hairdresser be like “you should try colours and curly!” but that’s not me. not changing my african culture to fit western societal norms. i respect my age mates doing all of this but a 16 year old?! i can’t lie my biggest worry at 16 were my grades. this is what school uniform is for. if it wasn’t allowed at school why should it be allowed at home. and maybe because i wore uniform up until 16 i just adopted that culture
again i respect young women but this mother saying she’s “appreciating her inner child”… in my culture 16 is still a child therefore i think the mum is too lenient to allow any of this. people can argue “16 year olds can reveal their chest it’s no big deal” but that is the age they are changing physically and biologically. they need that time to grow and accept their new bodies. strutting it off to everyone is inappropriate… or maybe im just raised ultra conservative

I agree. What will happen to the daughter’s self-image if she’s unable to get her nails done, false lashes and wear a wig?????
@@onebeyutifulright!

I love how you can tell how appreciative she is just by her mannerisms
Teaching your daughter she needs Fake hair, fake lashes, fake nails what is this world coming to😒. Whatever happened to being a natural beauty 😵💫
To go to SCHOOL?? You're there to learn, not model !!!!!!!!
School is to learn get an education. Not play Barbie dress up
@@cl4025 yeah 💯
@@gilliangiles7589 yeah,i agree with you 💯
Please mind your own business lol this is her child not yours. I understand that everyone has different opinions about these kind of topics but please don’t judge other people for loving there kids because it’s very ignorant, that woman is doing nothing wrong by taking care of her daughter so if y’all don’t like it keep scrolling. SIMPLE
What’s the problem with her dressing up the way she wants to?
Dang wrote a whole essay about some kid let her live
Thats so sweet that you do that for your daughter. I grew up similar, hardly being able to afford new clothes. ❤
Is it back to college? I know it's not HS.
😂😂😂
That ginger look good on her love it
I love this! Healing your inner child through motherhood is an amazing concept! God bless this beautiful family! ☺️🙏🏼❤️💖💕💞💗🩷🤍
My mom also went all out in shopping before going back to school ❤ I love her for that ❤️
This lady did more than shop. She also implemented maintenance on this child that she herself would have wanted as a kid. Never one saying it's what her kid always wanted.
Oh she’s winning best dressed for sure! I’m doing this for my future kids!
Yess
Awww ❤I love this!! She has a beautiful smile and great energy. Have fun at school! 🎉
GREAT JOB MOM!!! I FEEL YOU!!!❤❤❤
I totally understand as a single mother of two amazing girls.
She looks beautiful. Great job. Your are a very inspiring multitalented wonderful momma. 🧡
I completely understand about your inner child. ❤
And thats sad cause her child is her own human thats not her inner child
I went 4 winters in a row without a decent winter coat and it gets cold cold here, but all my kids had everything they needed plus some. All I asked is that they be respectful and get good grades. That's yo kid, do you momma ❤
They just be saying anything lol, I love what you’re doing ❤.
You should always want to do better for your child! Her look did seem a little too grown for me, but hey not my child. You guys have a great relationship and hope it continues! She'll remember these moments forever!
