He was the original JM Barrie for the show. Morisson was brought in later, since the director wanted to hitch of off the popularity of glee for the Broadway production. Many fans didn't agree, though.
@@liesvandenplas8066 also i think Matthew Morrison was the JM Barrie in the o.g. workshop. Also i have nothing against Matthew Morrison but Jeremy is SOOO MUCH BETTER in this specific role.
@@MusicalTheaterGeek24601 I've honestly haven't found a straight answer to that and I haven't found a clear source. There are also pictures for both in workshop, so maybe they both did a workshop at separate times. There are indeed more pictures with Matthew, though. And yeah, totally agree. I really have nothing against Matthew Morrison, but the role of JM Barrie fits Jeremy Jordan way better. He clearly cared more too, as Morrison was on holiday for most of his Broadway run, while Jeremy barely missed any of his shows.
it's so sad how they changed that choreography on broadway... it lost all the charm and innocence of the fantasies and jokes and imagination that had so much to do with the theme of the show
i never saw it on broadway, i was too bitter about how they did jeremy jordan wrong. years later, looking back at how terrible the broadway show became based on what everyone has told me, i think it was a blessing in disguise for jeremy that they went with matt instead.
@@xoxo-nj6mf actually you are right. but there is always the feeling that Jeremy would have put his soul into it and improved the project. just for what he's already done building this character from scratch, on off broadway. I wonder what it would have been like with broadway money. because visually, it was beautiful. even in the bootlegs and videos here dontoutube you can see that the show was beautiful, but it underwent many changes and lost its soul. Anyway... but you're still right. I think the same.

I didn’t know about this version and I loved this show in high school. I’m obsessed
Me: hears this song. "Imagine if Jeremy Jordan sang this! It would so fit his voice!"
Scrolls down to this video.
"Oh my god!"

I'm wondering if 2:34-2:38 was scripted, or he just decided to have a bit of fun with Laura. Either way, it's adorable.

Lyrics
James:
Standing here
All at once
All the words run dry
Sylvia:
Something changed
Can't explain
And I can't deny
James:
Turning in circles
And blurring the lights
Both:
The unspoken is calling us tonight
I won't lie
I'm a little bit frightend
Of my imagination
Swear I'll try
I'm feeling enlightened
Your my inspiration
We can fly if we want to
I promise that faith will give you wings
James:
Just take the second star on the right
Straight ahead till morning light
Both:
Just take the second star on the right
Straight ahead till morning light
James:
Every word and every sentence
Doesn't seem to make a difference
Nothing can explain just what you mean to me
Sylvia:
Every shape and all the colours
All the love from all the lovers
Never quite express just what you mean to me
James (Sylvia):
(Every shape) Every sentance
Every feeling (Every breath)
Breathless
All my senses reeling (All my sences reeling)
Cannot even say just
Both:
What you mean to me
Turning in circles
And blurring the lights
I won't lie
I'm a little bit frightened (Sylvia in cannon)
Of my imagination
I swear I'll try
Your my inspiration (Now together)
We can fly if we want to
I promise faith will give you wings
Just take the second star on the right straight ahead till morning light
Just take the second star on the right straight ahead till morning light
Every star that's ever fallen
Knows the way to where we're going
Now I really know just what you mean to me...

This is from finding Neverland, not 13
These songs are numbered in order, 13 is just the number of the song.
