I absolutely love mine! Just upgraded to a H2SXSE and I got to be honest… The 1000sx is more comfortable, lighter handing, and smoother shifting than the Ubermensch of sport touring bikes! The H2 has better components at each point, but the 1000sx just comes together better and feels like a better compilation of sport, performance, reliability and user-friendly features! I am probably going to sell the H2 and keep the 1000sx!
Yep it’s that bike that you love and it does everything well but you don’t what to take it to the motorcycle meets and show it off. It’s a amazing all around motorcycle!TFTC!!✌🏾
that's going to be my next upgrade from an iron 883 to a ninja 1000sx did the test drive and the clutch feel and throttle response was golden stopping power for days. perfect daily commuter setup
You will not be disappointed. I had a HD 883 too. The 1000sx is a much more superior bike in every way. It’s a sport touring bike. It’s super comfortable to ride. But is fast! Some people think without riding first that it’s a slow motorcycle. But it’s not. It’s still a 1000cc bike. The quick shifter up and down is smooth. The throttle response is smooth as well and the cruise control is amazing!! But the best thing about this bike is the cost of ownership. So much cheaper to maintain than my Harley Davidson. I’ve never had any mechanical issues with any of my Kawasaki’s. As long as you keep up with the regular maintenance they just keep running. It’s definitely in my top 5 as one of the best all around motorcycle. It does everything well! TFTC!✌🏾
That was real nice now it makes me wanna get one, but anyway I like the commentary and about what you said about the set up, Kawasaki set up on the group rides. The reason why Kawasaki is limited on bike choices because the dollar short and a Pennywise or vice versa Pennywise dollar short But anyway that stuff thumbs up all the way.👍👍👍
Thanks!! Yeah it still sucks though. They need to have at least two of the more popular bikes on the demo rides so more people get to ride them. TFTC!!✌🏾
Poeple are sleeping on this bike for sure! I own and modded this thing for little over 6 months now, and people not knowing what it is, is always funny to me. I call it the SUV of motorcycles, it's still fast but way more comfortable. My daughter sits better and safer on the back than she would be on a supersport, and when I'm solo I can still throw it down with 140hp and a screaming exhaust. My only 2 cons are: 1. I don't like the Brigetone tires that come with it, but that comes down to preference and can be replaced. 2. This bike gets HOT! The way this bike disposes of the heat is trough your shins! Alltough it can turn into a pro in colder conditions, you're going to feel it in hotter conditions.
@@kriseightyfive5854 Curious as to your dislike of the Bridgestones. Personally I prefer Road Pilot 5 or 6’s on a sport tourer like this, but I do like the stickiness of these 22’s. I imagine they’ll need replacing around the 4000 mile mark.
@@tobyh3681 It's just personal preference. Ever since my first R6, which came with 2CT's, I throw those on every racer/sportsbike I own. I can't really explain it, it's a feeling. These Brigestones that came factory stock on the Kawa are just to hard for my liking.
@@kriseightyfive5854factory tires are only an issue for the first couple thousand miles. It’s like if you don’t like your coffee today, get something else tomorrow.
I've been running Bridgestone T32s on my previous bike(the GT on the back), and i run deep and fast in the twisties etc. Excellent dry grip on my R1250GS. Not as great on dirty or wet surfaces. But the dry grip was so good, I kept buying them.
This is exactly the Bike I just bought. I traded my Concours 14 in for it & for me and my riding style the Ninja 1000sx (imo) is a better bike. The only thing I dont really care for is having to clean, lube & adjust the Chain, but I will get used to it.
In California I don’t even really have to clean and adjust it often. Maybe once every couple thousand miles. If it’s not getting wet or having mud thrown on it a quality chain will last for tens of thousands of miles with little maintenance. I put a did x ring on my multi 24k miles ago and I’ve cleaned it probably less than 10 times and adjusted it twice. It spends most of its time ripping up mountains.
@aluisious Kawasaki makes some of the best bikes you can buy right now. The Kawasaki lineup is just incredible, from the insane H2 to the little amazing pocket rocket 4RR. Thanks for the comment!!✌🏾

Informative Commentary. Enjoyed hangin' with you throughout the ride for 22 min, Gary.

Heat on shins keeps the riders who wear shorts and pink t shirts honest .
