I've been listening to this track since it was first released, have the single on vinyl, and is a constant track in my life... super glad and happy that the Olympics has widened the audience. Love to Pheonix.
This song literally has summer of 2020 written all over it. I’m feeling these lyrics way too literally upon revisiting this song right now. Prayers to all of us in this world, looks like we may need every last one of them right now.
This song brought so much comfort to me in some of my darkest hours. I liked it long before I related to the lyrics which are DEEP. It has layers like any masterpiece. Named my last vid after it. We'd be lost without brilliant artists like this.
+omgdanaab I first heard this last year at work. I thought it was a new song of theirs (I'd only known a few songs from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix), and was shocked they'd been around that long when I looked info on this song, had I known about them in Jr high when this came out, I'd have been a fan a lot longer!
This band's music is helping me get through some things lately; from my personal life, and for the hope that someone I have in mind is taking care of themselves as well.
Maybe this is the best song that I ever heard. I really love how they did it. a concrete and real lyric combined with that fluffy and thoughtless base Thank you Phoenix

At one point in my life after a breakup, I was depressed and while not suicidal didn’t give a fuck about living. I had a built car that ran 10 flat sec 1/4 miles that I would purposely take to bars, get fucked up, and drive like hell on the way home at 2:00 in the morning. Although the roads were empty I endangered many including passengers I had. I spun out going 130 due to debris on the highway and hit a barrier at 60mph. Walked away and didn’t get in trouble. That was the last day I drank and drove.
My life has improved so much since that incident. For all of you watching this in the space I was in, life is worth living! Keep going through the bad times and the good times are that much sweeter. Don’t give up!

☆ Lyrics ☆
They say an end can be a start
Feels like I've been buried, yet I'm still alive
It's like a bad day that never ends
I feel the chaos around me
A thing I don't try to deny
I'd better learn to accept that
There are things in my life that I can't control
They say love ain't nothing but a sore
I don't even know what love is
Too many tears have had to fall
Don't you know I'm so tired of it all?
I have known terror dizzy spells
Finding out the secrets words won't tell
Whatever it is it can't be named
There's a part of my world that's fading away
You know I don't want to be clever
To be brilliant or superior
True like ice, true like fire
Now I know that a breeze can blow me away
Now I know there's much more dignity
In defeat than in the brightest victory
I'm losing my balance on the tight rope
Tell me please, tell me please, tell me please, tell me please
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you
You can give me your number
When it's all over, I'll let you know
Hang on to the good days
I can lean on my friends
They help me going through hard times
But I'm feeding the enemy
I'm in league with the foe
Blame me for what's happening
I can't try, I can't try, I can't try, I can't try
No one knows the hard times I went through
If happiness came, I miss the call
The stormy days ain't over
I've tried and lost know I think that I pay the cost
I've watched all my castles fall
They were made of dust, after all
Someday all this mess will make me laugh
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you
You can give me your number
When it's all over, I'll let you know

There's a part of my life that will go away
Dark is the night, cold is the ground

Thank you. :[
Was at a live concert of theirs in Indy last summer, one of the best concerts I've been to. by far one of my fav songs by them, it means a lot to me.
They’re playing this rn in the Paris Olympics 2024 Closing ceremony 🔥. I can’t get over how good it sounds, how come I didn’t hear this before
Anytime is a great time 👌🏼 wish I could hear it for the first time again
I've been listening to this track since it was first released, have the single on vinyl, and is a constant track in my life... super glad and happy that the Olympics has widened the audience. Love to Pheonix.
That is why I only do what I feel like doing. I only receive what I desire in this universe.
Ahora mismo en la clausura de los Juegos Olímpicos de Francia 2024 🎉
THEY’RE SO YOUNG IN THIS VIDEO I WANT TO SCREAM
What a beginning of decade
2024 Olympics baby!!
This song is an immortal myth, one of the best videos ever.
Keep Phoenix alive. I go back to this one alot. Perfect groove
One of the greatest songs ever
This song literally has summer of 2020 written all over it. I’m feeling these lyrics way too literally upon revisiting this song right now. Prayers to all of us in this world, looks like we may need every last one of them right now.
first time i ever heard this was a roger sanchez mix, ive been in love ever since!
This song brought so much comfort to me in some of my darkest hours. I liked it long before I related to the lyrics which are DEEP. It has layers like any masterpiece. Named my last vid after it. We'd be lost without brilliant artists like this.
Condoléances
It just doesn't get old...this song rocks! 5 years on and still rocking it hard.
+Jordan Marshall This song came out in 2000!
+Jordan Marshall Seriously, it's a timeless sound.
+Marco Nicol yeah baby!!
+Marco Nicol That's verbatim what happened to me, but today lol. This song was majorly ahead of its time
I've heard this song 1 mln times but this is the first time i see this video
God do i miss these times. Life was so much more simpler, Sucks a lot tbh.
So I am not the only super nostalgic one 😭
Один друг с Индии не на что смотреть
This band's music is helping me get through some things lately; from my personal life, and for the hope that someone I have in mind is taking care of themselves as well.
My friend and I are at Rocco's Tacos downtown Delray Beach, Florida and this song comes on. I had to find it!!!
Was feeling pretty down. But this song never fails to make me so freaking happy
Ладно, пойдём тогда на хип хоп
this song sounds like it could’ve came out yesterday 💫
Totally Madz! you have good taste mate! this is a song I wrote, I hope you feel it too: ruclips.net/video/VKR5oPa4nkY/видео.html
I love how this songs helps so many people with their depression. This is my comfort song when I’m sad. It’s like comfort blanket
Still love it after all this years ❤🎉 phoenix!!!! 🎉 Who's here 2024?
Vous allez rire! Il se chuchote ici à paris que cette chanson figurera dans la cérémonie de clôture des Jo 2024! Si cest vrai ce serait trop bien🎉
La rumeur était donc vraie !
Love
Maybe this is the best song that I ever heard. I really love how they did it.
a concrete and real lyric combined with that fluffy and thoughtless base
Thank you Phoenix
