Can't believe this was released 24 years ago... they were so ahead of their time.
What memories, I participated in this clip as appearing with my bike that I still have. You may see me on my red BMW with a gray helmet. I earned 150 euros to work two nights from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and I took my work at 6:30 a.m. with the road on top, but it was so much good time that I do not regret ... Thank you for reading me to the end ... Regards to all ...
Arent those memories some of the sweetest?
@ BMW Serie 3 : Do you remember how they formulated the concept?
Dope shit. That european night life. Would be sweet to see it myself

This song was way ahead of its time
This band was ahead of their time
I just found this song and thought it came out 2-6 years ago. Decided to search the release on google and was so surprised to see it came out in 2000's. Amazing
Not really. More like the other way around.
Way too far ahead of that time 😂
The whole C.D was light years ahead of the the speed of Groove..not bad from a band from Paris France that decided to sing in English instead of French
Perfect song.
Perfect band.
Phoenix still lives.
et oui les francais save faire du bon son aussi la biz

Still perfect song.
Still perfect band.

This song is keeping me alive after a dreadful break-up. I'm heartbroken.
I just saw them open for Beck in Denver. Really nice.

I was at their concert here in Saint Petersburg, Florida yesterday. My girlfriend listens to Phoenix so I went with her. I was blown away by the quality of their music and the effort they put into their performance. They made me a fan last night!
I was also there - great show!

+naomi villa there's no unhealthy amount of times, just amount of times.
This song was produced when the era of 'French touch' House music was at it's peak. Philippe Zdar from Cassius was the mastermind behind this track, you can clearly hear the House vibe in this song. 22 years passed and still a good song!

So true 👍
Yeah. And I still damn love this song ❤

EARLY 2000
this song was released in 2000? holy shit it doesn't sounds like a 2000s song, thought this song was released recently tbh
Great music is great music. As you grow older it'll appear more clear.

Why so good Phoenix? These guys are pure gold. Regards to everyone who's still listening this type of masterpiece
"Its like somebody took my place. I aint playing my own game. The rules have changed , well I didn't know." These words perfectly sum up depression.
It gets better, hang in there, I know you're strong enough. Also, great taste in music dude!
Indeed.
I used to think it was about a love, lost. But recently I am leaning towards depression, too (I mean as an Interpretation of the lyrics, not personally)
"I don't even know what love is" - my favourite line!
☆ Lyrics ☆
They say an end can be a start
Feels like I've been buried, yet I'm still alive
It's like a bad day that never ends
I feel the chaos around me
A thing I don't try to deny
I'd better learn to accept that
There are things in my life that I can't control
They say love ain't nothing but a sore
I don't even know what love is
Too many tears have had to fall
Don't you know I'm so tired of it all?
I have known terror dizzy spells
Finding out the secrets words won't tell
Whatever it is it can't be named
There's a part of my world that's fading away
You know I don't want to be clever
To be brilliant or superior
True like ice, true like fire
Now I know that a breeze can blow me away
Now I know there's much more dignity
In defeat than in the brightest victory
I'm losing my balance on the tight rope
Tell me please, tell me please, tell me please, tell me please
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you
You can give me your number
When it's all over, I'll let you know
Hang on to the good days
I can lean on my friends
They help me going through hard times
But I'm feeding the enemy
I'm in league with the foe
Blame me for what's happening
I can't try, I can't try, I can't try, I can't try
No one knows the hard times I went through
If happiness came, I miss the call
The stormy days ain't over
I've tried and lost know I think that I pay the cost
I've watched all my castles fall
They were made of dust, after all
Someday all this mess will make me laugh
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you
You can give me your number
When it's all over, I'll let you know
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you
You can give me your number
When it's all over, I'll let you know
It's like somebody took my place
I ain't even playing my own game
The rules have changed, well, I didn't know
There are things in my life I can't control
I feel the chaos around me
A thing I don't try to deny
I'd better learn to accept that
There's a part of my life that will go away
Dark is the night, cold is the ground
In the circular solitude of my heart
As one who strives a hill to climb
I am sure I'll come through I don't know how
They say an end can be a start
Feels like I've been buried, yet I'm still alive
I'm losing my balance on the tight rope
Tell me please, tell me please, tell me please, tell me please
If I ever feel better
Remind me to spend some good time with you

It def will and you’ll forget the pain. There is plenty of love out there to give and receive. Grow from this situation, set boundaries, figure out yourself, love yourself, value yourself. The rest falls into place.
listening to this songs is like seeing that old part of me come by to say "hi, you haven't been depressed in a while, come visit whenever". It's like a test to see if you have changed for good or you can't yet let go of something/someone. clever song, loved it.

A whole different time and a whole different place, yet the tune still hits that same old nerve it always has... perhaps with some nostalgic feel on it these days...🤍🐦

This song is eternal.
The theme song of the last 25 years of my life.
Same. Never got better, but that's ok.
I have one line of this song tattooed on me, "True like ice, true like fire." This song is so special to me since it helped, and continues to help, me fight depression. Thanks!
It also helps me when I am depressed, this song has a special soul healing vibe, it is definitely part of the soundtrack of my life.

Such an amazing song once you hear it you wonder how you've lived so long without it.
The first song I heard from Phoenix many years ago. I love every one of their songs. They are so consistent and have such a personal style.

A song in a state of grace, made in Versailles, just like Air and Daft Punk. Long live the Kings. Yeah, I know Daft is no more.
The guitar is subtle, intricate and amazing on this song.
Phoenix rules sound world ever !!!!!!
I listen to this song whenever I feel sad or betrayed. Helps me cope with it.

this is like a mix of rock and french house, two genres that have been present in my life since I have memory.

The beauty of 2000's song. No autotune
At one point in my life after a breakup, I was depressed and while not suicidal didn’t give a fuck about living. I had a built car that ran 10 flat sec 1/4 miles that I would purposely take to bars, get fucked up, and drive like hell on the way home at 2:00 in the morning. Although the roads were empty I endangered many including passengers I had. I spun out going 130 due to debris on the highway and hit a barrier at 60mph. Walked away and didn’t get in trouble. That was the last day I drank and drove.
My life has improved so much since that incident. For all of you watching this in the space I was in, life is worth living! Keep going through the bad times and the good times are that much sweeter. Don’t give up!
Absolutely love this song. Whenever you are having one of those days, play this and let the song and beat take you away....

I'm taking the Philippine 2020_21 - 22 Bar Examinations this January 2022. I hope all of us takers will pass the exam.
You pass?
I'd better learn to accept that there are things in my life that I can't control.
This song literally has summer of 2020 written all over it. I’m feeling these lyrics way too literally upon revisiting this song right now. Prayers to all of us in this world, looks like we may need every last one of them right now.
This band's music is helping me get through some things lately; from my personal life, and for the hope that someone I have in mind is taking care of themselves as well.
This should be the song of 2021 ...... seriously
First time I listened to this song I envisioned an animated music video where the protagonist was a man with a mundane life (business/office worker, college student, highschooler, etc.) Who's happy self would detach from him like ghost. While the man goes on to carry out him mundane life his ghost self does all the things he wishes he could have done but can't be seen by others and can't interact. By the time the song reaches the middle he realizes a love interest, or a friend he was really close to who appears a lot in the video. His happy ghost tries to get his or her attention for a while before realizing he's beginning to fade. He tries to make it back into his body but can't because they've grown so apart, until somehow like a poltergeist he makes his body look up and see the person he's been running after, opening up a window for him to jump back into his body and take over just for a possible life changing moment with this person (who could be part of his future or part of his past).
+Zaori Gonzalez This is great and should have hundreds more likes than it does
Now this is how I
will envision this song
Sounds like a daft punk video. Very nice.
+Jaxon Jackson this lead singer was actually in a band called "darlin" with the members of daft punk.
+Jaxon Jackson Before this song, in this group there were the Daft Punk... This was their first and last group before become Daft Punk :)
This eased my depression.
Thank you. :[
Still love it after all this years ❤🎉 phoenix!!!! 🎉 Who's here 2024?
This song brought so much comfort to me in some of my darkest hours. I liked it long before I related to the lyrics which are DEEP. It has layers like any masterpiece. Named my last vid after it. We'd be lost without brilliant artists like this.
