I’ve never really had a problem with two groups meeting up and having a ruck. It’s almost just human nature for some to do it. When they start attacking innocent people and public areas though it’s just cowardly bullying. No coincidence loads of them are bowling about in Stone Island jackets thinking they’re top boys, when they’ve probably never thrown a punch in their life. Embarrassing.

I don't believe football violence has significantly increased or decreased in recent years its just a case of how much the press decides to report on it. I live in Bermondsey so Millwall are my local team I regularly take my grand kids without any problems. Ill admit they're not the greatest team in the country just like England isn't the greatest team in world but they're ours so i supporters them Millwall over the last few years have done a lot to improve conditions for families as well as lots for charity and the local community which goes unreported however if two cats have a fight within a mile of the Den the papers report violence at Millwall. During last years F A cup there was an argument in the crowd; one bloke asked another to stop swearing in front of his kids there was a bit of pushing and shoving and some verbal abuse nothing more. It soon calmed down. The next day the papers reported that because Millwall had no one to fight they started to fight among themselves. It's the press that glamorous football violence just as they do drugs and crime in general no press report on crime is complete without numerous photos of guns and knives like an advert for an action movie even though the guns shown have nothing to do with the actual story they're just standard pictures from the paper's archives to be used whenever they do a story about crime inb in case any of their readers don't know what a gun or a knife looks like

Football hooliganism or violence, however you want to call it, is actually way down on the past 20 years. It gets less and less each year due to all the money thrown at it to stop it. I've not seen any real trouble for a long time. Yes, there are those who meet up way away from any stadium, but then that's not Football violence, that's just the usual minority getting their kicks elsewhere. And long may that continue.

Then let them go at it until an obvious victor emerges. People will soon get fed up of loosing teeth, getting broken jaws, noses and skulls. Or maybe they won't. The most important thing to remember is that football violence is never going to willingly stop.

Here is my view based on life experience:
The average copper loves going to these games. It gives them carte blanche to hand out indiscriminate beatings to normal fans without fear of repercussion. 99% of the time police escalate matters for no reason other than boredom. Even though you end up with a chain reaction of fans fighting police, it typically starts because of a copper punching a fan or a father having to wade in because his 8 year old son was hit with a police baton. I've seen kids brutalisd by those police that like to ride the horses - like a scene out of braveheart. The police know better to cover their helmet IDs when they do this kind of thing.
I have been to plenty of games and let me tell you that - other than the odd group of chavs shouting from a safe distance - there is never organised violence by fans at football grounds anymore.
In my opinion, the police create violence in order to justify more annual funding for the next year. That, and the fact that the police force attracts a certain personality that no moral person would want anything to do with.
This does not get reported because the police control the narrative.

Yes mate. And on more than one occasion.
Leeds United vs Cardiff City, 15th of January 2005.
Ask any fan that was there.
I was 14 when some coward pig wacked me on the back of my leg as I was walking home after the match. I could not walk for days afterwards. I was one of the lucky ones.
A boy who could not have been older that 10 was hit in the back of the head by a pig on a horse. I thought he was dead, whilst his dad cradled him. A crowd of angry fans chased after the pig but he rode off and hid amongst the crowd.
      Want a more recent example?
      Leeds vs Manchester United
After the game, the filth suddenly blocked everyone from going a certain way to their cars. So to make an example, one of them hit a young child with his baton, whilst also threatening to trample him. Naturally, the kid's dad confronted the coward and got arrested for something he did not start.
      Another story:
      www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/policeman-dead-trial-football-fan-26245519
How old does that kid look to you?
Good riddance to the POS pig.
If police are being convicted for peodophillia what makes you think they are above brutalising them with batons?
I think you need to wisen up my friend.

Football Firms and the individual 'hooligans' are quite often far from mindless and very often catch the authorities out with forward planning that would gain the grudging admiration of the military. A lot of the time that is exactly what the Police are up against, military - style, organised disorder. So can the media please stop referring to these lads/men(and occasionally, ladies) as mindless, because a lot of the time they aint.
