Curious, from Ep 1 to now there's quite a large drop off for viewers.. I wonder if it is due to another mode of viewing or general lack of interest. Only the real fans are here now.
I bet most of the people expected eurobeat and straight up hype battles like initial d but left when they realized it's a different type of show. A slow burner compared to initial d but for a car fan this is a great show with a lot of technical knowledge thrown in. I love both shows for completely different reasons.
monkerulz yeah you’re absolutely right. I too was searching for another similar show after finishing initial D but I still absolutely loved Wangan. The accuracy is greatly appreciated and I wish there was more like this to be able to watch. A damn shame there isn’t
One thing I am noticing is that the plots are kind of blurring together and characters seem to be less dynamic However I stay for the engineering behind all the cars
I donno about the 180k myth, but they definitely don't bother unless there's an accident, much the same way as in other countries the cops just leave the high speed racers alone, grab photo's of their plates, then wait for them at home, instead of chasing or putting out spikes which could cause deadly accidents and unnecessary costs to society in general. Furthermore, the Wangan is Japans life-line so they wont be closing it all down just like that, just for a few street racers. Worst comes to worst, and racers keep avoiding cops by using fake plates, sooner or later they grow tired of the high speeds, or mature, or get too scared etc, and from there only the smallest of fraction of those that are left actually cause an accident, usually involving only themselves. In other words, acceptable casualties.
So there’s car enthusiasts with gasoline for blood who like to drive and those with oil for blood who like to do the dirty work ...what if I’m a 2 stroke engine?
Why is evryone still bringing along all this dead weight to make it fair or something because the other drivers brought extra bodies too, friends are nice and all but they hinder your pursuit for speed.
Maybe more downforce with the weight added 😂 like initial d how takumi let his friend sit in the backseat so he could get more traction on a wet road, 😂
I always preferred initial d over wm but what i love more about wm is, everyine is friendly and communicates better and still just as much actual racing
The actual Midnight Club has no record of ever using them, they don’t make a lot of base power, and most people associate Hondas in Japan with No Good Racing, who have a totally different style when it comes to highway racing.
Im pretty sure whoever did the english subtitles just made up their own and couldn;t remember what they put in the previous episodes. Theres no way this show was translated that poorly or written that poorly from the beginning.
Is it just me OR DOES NOBODY REALISE THAT THE S30Z DOESN'T HAVE A COMPUTER CPU BECAUSE IT'S LITERALLY FROM THE 1960S OR 70S jesus this anime's specs keep getting more and more inaccurate
It's not inaccurate tbh. Listen what Kitami said. Fueling system will still be mechanical (carburettor) since Akio is used to it and likes it. But the ignition (spark) system uses mechanical points which gets rough and inconsistent as it ages (its driven off the crankshaft), so its better to use a transistor based ignition system (electronic distributor instead of a mechanical one). CPU based ignition system is just their way of saying the same thing.
eiji and maki interaction are pretty interesting, i like both characters so much.
really hoping to see more of these two brothers.

It would be pretty dope to get an S2K or NSX in the mix of things given the fact we have Porche's and Ferraris from the beginning.
