Since Asal has stopped all the tom foolery he's starting to believe he can win just being the great squash player he is....much more entertaining to see...great match. Respect to them both...amazing squash. Fair squash.
I have just now noticed that I had never seen a match between these two before. I have also *never* witnessed Gawad work so hard in a match before, ever, neither in a winning nor in a losing match. The quality was superb. Hats off.
Looked like a high quality, well played match front to back! Different people will have different reactions to the long sequences down the left-hand wall... Mine is... Superb maturity from Asal! He didn't let himself be goaded into an impatient cross-court.
Asal now clearing and playing through interference more than anyone else, because he knows that he knows that he’s good enough to beat everyone else without playing dirty (or even when others are playing dirty and he isn’t!)! Thank you Asal for the amazing squash and for going from the bad example to the model of how everyone should play like
@@kcanersthe player striking the ball is entitled to a straight path to the ball. The ref decided that Gawad should’ve taken a “line” behind Asal to get the ball
@@kcanersline is this case was gawad should go behind asal to play the ball not through him since the ball was behind him. If he went from the back and asal was still blocking it would be a let or stroke. But he took the wrong line so it became a no let.

Well said.
Agree - really good to watch
All due credit to his coach, the change in attitude is commendable.
Used to hate Asal because of the cheating. But now that he is playing with respect, he is fast becoming one of my favourite players. 😊
Sad to see Gawad loosing, he is a magician on the court!
Too bad your comment is giving away the tension of the match for me
That last point was absurd. Unreal retrievals by Asal

What a game. These guys playing chess with a raquet and a ball.
That matchball took almost as long as a set when we play on our level 😂
haha...same here :D
Asal mus be one of the best athletes on the planet, given his size. God he would make a great Aussie rules player.
Best match I’ve watched in a while. Wow

what a breath taking backhand rally!

Insane, unbelievable, sublime
love watching Asal pair clean squash with his raw potential.
Great
This is class. Clean Asal is fantastic to watch, and such a great match up with Gawad. Brilliant.
amazing stuff. Love these two
awesome asal !
Finally, we are seeing the player Asal can be.
Electrifying squash
Could someone explain to me why 4:19 isn't a let?
Ball was way clear and past gawad. The line was behind asal and should have moved behind him to get the ball.
@@littlelin5 and what does line mean here?

best match in a while and asal's best
Good grief these 2 are good.
“Thankfully taxis are very cheap in Cairo” 😂😂😂
Great squash.
Just got in to the game, but COYG
Asal is so large he doesn't even have to try to get to the long balls, one step and he's there, whil Gawad needs to run like crazy!!
A beastly game! Asal is incredible though gawad is my favorite but asal is rising
asal on top!
That last rally was brutally a long one. Watching it makes you lose your breath
Very much like my match last night: I also lost a 5-setter 😥
getting better but still far too much unnecessary contact on the backline from asal for me. Let the oppo move out lad
So many times asal seen pushing gawad to get himself or of balance
Brilliant use of the lob drop strategy from gawad. Completely immobilized asal taking away his power and speed
great, tense game, but bad quality video, shame
Love my a player that shoves me around.
Sigh.
Next: Roy-Kent style ice bath.
asal is a bad player. bad attitude. bad sportsmanship.
sure mate
Yawn.
