Love the idea of using up ribbons this way, I have hundreds of them and using them like that will be perfect. I also quilt and had some beautiful Christmas material scraps left over so made beautiful cards with them this year. Posted them all yesterday then remembered I hadn't taken any photos, what a bummer!

Lovely cards as usual. I've also used the reels of paper ribbon, used to wrap presents. You can buy it in different widths in metallic, satin or patterned. Ideal to use in between the real ribbon.
I'm new to your Chanel. I.have used this technique with left over cardstock and have loved it because you can then use dies to cut shapes.out of it. I have also just used the panels to e the front of a card as you have done. Can't wait to try this with ribbon! Thanks for this fresh idea!

I love the gold ones the most. I’m going to try this for sure. I can only imagine what a joy it would be to make a dent in my ribbon drawer. The ribbons are in the bottom drawer which is the biggest. But I do have them in bags separated by color. For me, I think the tinsel is overtop.

Neat idea. Your ribbons are all rich royal colors which makes them look more elegant. I do have way to many ribbons as I went overboard needing to find which ribbons would glue onto a wood plaque project I was doing. I have lots of ribbons that don't "stick" well. I love what you did with the ribbons Lucy, They look very luxurious and high end christmas cards, they are also very unique i have tons of ribbon i have collected over the years so i may give this a try. its great that you are also using the recycled paper and card that you would have thrown out otherwise. we crafters love to keep the cut offs and the scraps of paper card and others items so we can use it later on. my daughter and my husband always asks why i keep the bits and bobs i just say because i need them for another craft. you could also do that with old bits of coloured or mirrored card stock or paper and also metallic cardstock and paper too. It helps keep the items out of landfills which in my book it is a win win for us and the environment. we need to do our part in saving our planet and this is one of the best ways to do it which is very creative as well as very beautiful ways of using up materials that would have ended up in the bin. Great job Lucy you are a genius. keep up the great work you are doing and well done. I absolutely love these ideas for cards.

Hi Lucy, I have a Fiskars cutter that I love. It has a piece of wire down the middle so you can see exactly where you’re cutting. I had to order it from Amazon it has inches and centimetres in Australia. They only have them in inches which is really weird, and I made sure I got the one that goes up to 6 inches so you can cut card sizes down.
These are beautiful! I love your use of chipboard and tinsel to step these up. I’ve made panels like this before and embossed them in an embossing folder but I’ve never thought to add chipboard and tinsel. I’ll have to have another go at this today.
