Was Netflix's decision not Zach's, there was originally a directors cut but Netflix didn't think they'd have people watch a 3- 4 hour movie so they split it to shorten the time and make more of a buzz around it, imo I would have preferred just one continuous movie regardless of length

This was a PG13 cut so more people could see it in its theatrical release, soon a full rated R cut will be on stream for free, don't see a problem in that.

Yes I really wanted to love this movie but the characters except for Scargiver are literally nothing but cool designs. This is essentially a Seven Samurai retelling so we really needed to get to know the Seven "Samurai" in this movie but we never see any dialogue between them or get to see any of their unique skills and traits on the battlefield.. I didn't even care when Charlie betrayed the team cuz we barely spent any time with his character or the "team"

Just found out that this was supposed to be 4 hours long, hey Netflix we all sat for 4 hours straight for the snydercut Justice League. I think it's safe to say that 4 hours is Zach Staple, and we are here for all his 4 hour long story telling movies

As a starwars fan i like rebel moon.
Its faster than the disney+ series, where i fall asleep at some times.
The first pas was ok but it REALLY needed the full extended cut. Release the full director's cut for both parts asap.
Yeah the movie felt like all the character work and actual story were missing. The Seven Warriors literally didn't even have any interactions with each other before the very end. I would rather watch a 4 hour movie with an actual story and character interactions than a 2 hour movie that feels rushed to oblivion. And I love slow mo as much as the next guy but please less slow mo

The movie plays fine, it’s a fun time but the mature version is actually a different movie, ZS shot a scene for PG13 and then he shot the same scene for the mature version so it’s literally a different movie
I don’t blame Netflix for releasing this version at all, if I sit down with my family and put this on, I’m very much sure some of them wouldn’t want to be watching gory scenes, the version at the min at Xmas time is literally perfect viewing
The first part wasnt perfect, but i still enjoyed it. Hoping that part 2 will be even better!
If would have been better if they make it as webseries where they can extend their series upto 1 ep per 50 min and do character development so audience can understand each cast past and story will be intresting.

Yay! Mi amor, Kora! I just saw part one and it's so much fun. I want to know more about the different characters' history and I begin to wonder who assassinated the King (I think I know, already... Is it you, Kora? What happened with the princess, though?😢). This will set up nicely for Part 3, but I'm not sure if Part 2 will have a victorious ending, at all... until the finale. Part 3 will be the epic battle. Thx all !

An almost instant classic if it wasn’t for the weak action choreography…too many fight scenes lacked flow and timing, like the spider lady fight. The CG, makeup, and costumes were top notch though.

A story and actual characters. Im a Snyder fan, but let's be real. Ive seen Seven Samurai, and the first movie was literally the first half of Seven Samurai, but if the samurai didn't talk to each other and didn't have any development and didn't ever feel like a team. Everything in part 1 was very surface level, no actual story there. I really hope Part 2 is better

The first part was a disjointed mess. I'm keeping in mind the directors cuts are going to be the proper way to watch these movies, like Justice League or Kingdom of Heaven.
One thing I hate about it is that there’s no freaking blood, the fight scenes would’ve been better if there were gore

The robot was the only thing that excites me.
The woman, is suppose to be a really good fighter, but during a bar fight. Having a hard time killing petty goons and here goes the good ol cant hit the hero specials 😅😂 shooting laser guns 6ft from each other and misses everytime. Ridiculous!?!?!?!?
The other characters were just there to hype up the woman character as a really good intergalactic killer. But never lived up during the fights. 😅😂😅😂😅

If only the movie itself could look that good. Bet it'll be like the first one that also looked cool on the trailer but the end result quite mediocre. Of course this might be better than part one, but yeah usually I do defend lower rated movies but when 20 k plus people have voted on it and it's a 5.8/10 it kinda says it all on how hard Snyder failed with part one even though he says the director's cut is better, but part one is so mid I can't even defend it myself. It is also still the same characters and the same story so yes we might see fights we might see tension but none of the characters does really connect with you anyway.

It was nice to watch some new sci-fi fantasy stuff. It wasn’t very good and pretty derivative, but at least it’s something. Lots of ripped off warhammer ideas, even names. It’s sad bc it had a decent concept but it was just a bit boring and cheesy. Over-powered female with no enhancements, lots of wordy exposition, same ol bar scenes, little character development, lots of wasted screen time, etc etc etc. cherry on top is the very video game look to all the visuals.

The logic was fine, the issue was that we spent way too much time on slow mo action and not enough on developing the central characters or creating an actual satisfying story

The main problem with such films is the assumption that civilizations in other parts of the universe are developing according to the patterns of earthly history. With "empires", "dictatorships", "democracies", including the style of clothing characteristic of these societies. But military men in German-Soviet uniforms from a distant planet are even more cretinous than horned humanoid aliens. And who challenges them in this film? A girl with the weight of a lamb and the appearance of a schoolgirl (ex-elite soldier, "veteran"!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️), who will not be sold cigarettes either in Europe or in the USA. Sorry, but this all looks like banal money laundering at a freak show, not art.
