  • Are you a plus size roller coaster enthusiast like myself? Frustrated with the dreaded "walk of shame" when you try a ride only to find out you don't fit? Well, I have done the hard work for you, and given the ride a good "Fat Guy Ride Test". Now, you can plan your day and make the most of our visit to the park by knowing ahead of time the question to....."will I fit?".
    This past fall, I was able to visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the first time. While there, I did some Fat Guy Ride Testing on several of their attractions.
    For this video, I will be performing a Fat Guy Ride test on the legendary Arrow coaster - Loch Ness Monster.
    I hope this helps....thanks for watching!

    Man you are literally a life saver!
    As a bigger guy I get such anxiety about theme parks even though I love them. I’ve been watching all your bush gardens videos leading into my trip there in August. Thank you!

    These videos make me happy because you happily try the rides and don't care if people stare when you cannot ride. I wish i was like that. I wont even ATTEMPT rollercoasters incase they cant lock it and people laugh. Good on you man

    After a walk of shame at Verbolten yesterday, where I thought maybe it would give just enough to get me in, I found your videos. Thank you! Maybe today I will finally get to try a coaster.
    That alpengeist seat was so not happening it was laughable.

    I love that you are having a good time! Shame the rest of the train is so silent though. Nothing gets me more giddy and excited than a good old fashion Arrow Looper.

    That's awesome! We are going to this park in a few weeks. My son is a big guy and this video was so helpful. How did you find the rest of Busch Gardens Williamsburg? What rides should we avoid to help him have a great time? Thanks!!

    • @DorkyDude
      @DorkyDude  3 года назад

      It really depends on how big he is. Unfortunately, I went for a limited capacity event so all the rides weren't open to test. But I could give you a really good idea on several of them if you have some specifics for me. Thanks for watching!

    ah hell. now im thinking i should have tried the demon at six flags great america because its made by the same company. i might of been able to fit and the demon does a loop and near the end has a barrel roll inversion.
    fack, well if i go back with the fam this year...im trying the demon because the seats looked similar to this one.

    • @DorkyDude
      @DorkyDude  Месяц назад

      All those Arrow looping coasters have the same seats....so its very likely. But, some parks require additional restraints (it depends on state regulations). For example: Loch Ness was just the overhead pulldown but Vortex at Kings Island and Corkscrew at Cedar Point (both ohio parks) required an additional buckle connecting the shoulder harness to the seat via a between the legs buckling mechanism. Just make sure to check that out first so you're sure.

  • @shygurrl69
    @shygurrl69 3 года назад +1

    Love your videos! Question, did the overhead harness have to go through more than one click?

    • @DorkyDude
      @DorkyDude  3 года назад

      Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it. To be honest, I don't know if there is a required number of clicks needed (I'm pretty sure it only needs to come down once). I got 3 or 4 clicks down. Hope this helps.

    Well at least you can fit on something, Arrow Dynamics are very painful ride, I prefer Intamin, B&M, and S&S Tower.

    • @DorkyDude
      @DorkyDude  3 года назад +1

      I don't...sorry. They fluctuate depending on the tides and whatever new items Taco Bell has that week. LOL In this particular video, I was wearing a 4xl-5xl shirt, 3xl pants (dont know waistline number, sorry), and in the 400 lb. range (I'm 5'9 btw). I hope this helps....if you have any specifics you'd like to ask...just let me know. Thanks for watching.
