This new starlight system is amazing! You get rewards in all levels even if you don't buy the pass and it has a lot of rewards! The only bad thing is that if you really want a skin from the shop you have to buy the pass and you can't choose anymore between 5 starlight skins but it's okey! Congrats on getting kagura's skin you are so lucky, is so pretty >< I'm not buying the pass, I heard that nana's collector will be back on March and its my birthday on March so I wish my family give me money as a present and finally buy it :')

No upgrading isn't needed. It just gives you all the benefits on first day instead of having to do doing daily starlight tasks to increase level. And it shows your name in more highlight. It's not worth.
