  • In the studio this week, we have Monty Heath, a decorated veteran from Navy SEAL Team 2 and Red Squadron, a former supervisor for the U.S. Navy SEAL mentorship program and BUD/S preparatory program, helping veterans develop their entrepreneur goals, a father who has endured the harrowing, near-death experience of his eleven-year-old son, and who has successfully undergone supervised psychedelic treatments to facilitate psychological introspection. Monty brings a myriad of life lessons and incredible experiences to the table in this week’s TNQP episode.

This was perfectly awesome. It is always a good thing when a person can wrestle with their demons and come out ahead. It doesn't matter where the demons come from or how big or small they are - we all have them. What matters is the 'never quit' attitude and the realization that you won't fight the demons alone. Best wishes to Monty's son for a complete recovery. Best wishes for Monty, Morgan, Marcus, and all of "us" that are still battling. #neveroutofthefight 🇺🇸

Peter Attia actually said something very profound about what happens to marriages, or even just families in general, when a child or someone within that family unit suffers a grave injury or a near death experience. He said families or marriages that are close before the tragedy, become closer, and families or marriages that were distant become even more fractured.

When Monty says “Fly Fishing” he’s spot on. Of all the outlets I’ve tried & continue to use, Fly Fishing is by far the best tool & the best outlet I’ve found to literally make all the bad vibes disappear for a time, whether it’s bad memories from time in or civilian life’s worries & problems, Fly Fishing is the way to handle & heal. A mountain trout stream & no one in sight, wading in & targeting trout by sight or by where they hold up. I can’t stress enough how Fly Fishing is the ultimate therapeutic for us. Try it please.
