Such a lovely variation in cloths despite the similar shades. Thank you for bringing us along for the unboxing!
Reassuring to see English textiles that still emphasize quality, design and innovation!
More videos like this please 😊
Wow we need more like this ^_^ fun and informative. Hope to see more
Thank you for the informative videos.
Really liked the sort of olive colored fabric. High twist, fresco or Hopsack. Would love to have an half lined, summer blazer of that.
I love your videos. When I'm ready -- a couple years -- I would definitely want Thomas Mahon to make my coats and suits for me!
A very enjoyable video. Thank you.
Holland & Sherry my favorite brand of cloth. G & H made my three suits from their fabric including a smashing alternating cardinal and white pin stripe on middle gray background. Lots of complements every time I wear it. Two years ago my tailor in Denver showed my a fashion forward fabric by H & S that was amazing- light green print with brown overtones that was so unique I commissioned a suit on the spot. Alas, apparently others felt the same way for when he went to order the fabric it was stocked out with no possibility of it ever be made again-DAMN!
What a joy your videos have been. I am off work this week with Covid and I have felt properly educated. I will be saving up for a visit. Thanks for your work.
AWESOME FABRICS! fun video. many thanks.
Thanks for watching, we're so glad you like the collection of cloths!
Oooh! Presents! Christmas came early, verily.
Sumptuous stuff!
So many beautiful cloths. That blue velvet stole the show for me. Beautiful color !
Nice to hear of another Alabamian wearing fine suits! I would love to meet him some day!
That 17oz looks amazing. I can't imagine the drape. Must be amazing.
The first fox brothers fabric pattern is known as a "four point star".
Please make more of these videos!
Beautiful and interesting.......!
Fantastic videos. Would it be possible to do a segment on pinstripe and chalk stripe fabrics for business suits? Thank you!
I enjoy watching your videos. Greetings from Oslo.
Can't wait to someday come to a trunk show an have a suit commissioned
Really nice varieties
Love these cloth videos! Maybe a few per season to know what to look out for! I am trying to find a good cloth that works in DC in the morning and a cold winter afternoon in Chicago for a business trip the same day, as I would hope to avoid dragging around a top coat if possible
Tom
I enjoy you ribald humor especially about the "gray suit" no one will buy! 2 1/2 hot days in London-ha-ha!
Hello Mr Mahon, I am a new/aspiring tailor in North Carolina USA. I am curious how does one get the books of various samples from suppliers without just ordering a swatch from each fabric in a collection? Thank you for all your wonderful videos as they are really helping me early on in my career
You should reach out to Matthew at Discover Artifex. He's a great resource and his is also someone pursuing tailoring.
Find a fabric merchant and they should be able to solve this question.
Great video!
but I was looking my suit fabric... guess I will see it in person in SF. See you soon.
Steve
Looking forward to it Sir.
8:18 Hello Mr. Mahon. One question for the velvet from Harrisons. Is it a one-way cloth and which way will you cut it? With the pile? Thank you and enjoy your channel. From Outside of Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Can help us with pick stitches how to do them and the reason for the stitch
nice
I have watched a few other similar sites on RUclips but I have to say you are the best by far. I have seen you making the patterns for and cutting coats but like the others you never show trousers being cut. Is this a separate side of the trade using other cutters?
Good point...usually the same cutter. I'll get one done for you. Best,
Tom.

Do you have vicuna from Scabal ?
Do you come to the U.S.?
What's the price of cloth like that?
Would love to see you address the right "style" of tailor for a larger man with narrow shoulders and a gut. 5'10" 225, narrow shoulders. Would a more natural style be better or fitted and structured? Would be an interesting discussion.
I'll try to answer these questions in a short video for you. Thanks for watching, Best, Tom.
@@savilerowtales Thanks, Tom. Love your videos. Highly informative and fun at the same time!
With a lighter suit on colder days, you are going to want to wear an overcoat.
