The controller is forced into pre-empt during time based flash. At 7:51 the signals behind the crossing go into track clearance where the signals immediately after the crossing turn green to keep cars from getting stuck on the tracks. This is all well and good until you realize that the flash exit interval went from flashing yellow immediately to red for the main direction in order to establish track clear. Normally when coming out of flash the flashing yellow returns to a solid green for the main arterial. You see a few cars run the red
Call Railroad preemption cycle when a train is approaching a crossing that has a parallel traffic signal intersection, and the crossings activate. It will clear the Crossin and then afterword it will go to flash mode or it will stay on, depending how busy it is
Did the preemption change the behavior of the signal from flashing to staying in one solid color? Also nice rr crossings and traffic light catches! That’s cool that conrail is in service there and also I think the cantilever at the first crossing was a safetran cantilever. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that is what it is.
You might as well add RXR signals to the 🚦 videos. the railroad crossing signals are Western Cullen Hayes (mechanical and electronic bells, lights, arm mechanism, etc.) Those are my favorite signals as well as the durasigs.
We didn't get to see if the intersection went back to flash mode at the end of the video. It surely woke up when the train went by - one car is all it takes!
The assembly plant was introduced in December 1927, and operated there until 1946--which the sign says "twenty" years! I guess the person who made the sign, learned "common core" back in the day!! 🤣🤣
Basic high volume traffic light except when train passes. At high traffic volume times like trains or shift change traffic lights activate. Then flash at low volume traffic times.
I like how the Eagle Siemens head is the only signal head at the intersection that still has incandescent indications.
Great video like always.

At 9:50 I didn't know the aluminum eagle siemens head was a left turn signal. Nice one!
how yellow flashing before is the power traffic light is back
Wow 😮 Amazing
Awesome video!!! 👍
Thanks 🚦
When the traffic lights work does the left turn lights flash?
The traffic signals are triggered whenever there's a train nearby

Nice video man!

Yeah it definitely went back to flash mode after the cycle
