Completely confused and a complete novice. How do you get the data onto each label that says, for example, "t-shirt, red, size medium" ? Or am I thinking about it in the wrong way.

RFID race timer here. Can you do a review/tutorial of a printer/encoder compatible with the 1.25” x 4” RFID tags backed with 3mm of foam that are commonly used in marathons and other races? They are often Monza RP-6 dogbone tags and come in rolls of 1000. The printing is usually done on the foam side. Information on this seems to be scarce. Thanks.

Great question. Most race timing tags that have a foam backing exceed the max thickness for allowable media in a thermal transfer printer. The printers are getting more robust in that some new printers, especially the latest T6000e from Printronix is able to handle 2.2mm thick tags. Unfortunately in your case it seems that particular tag is still out of spec for that. If you'd like to explore other race timing tags that are thinner in profile, feel free to reach out to me through email, colynnb@idplate.com. Thanks Lyndon!
