Treats and patience is the key. I used this method on three feral cats that lived in my yard and they are now lap cats and sleep in my arms and at night in bed with me. It really does work.
Feral momma cat lived & ate IN my house for a year, before I could touch her. Finally, she would be brushing up against one of my cats, & my hand could "slip" on to her & she learned she wasn't being hurt. Still no lap, but progress.

Reason #1 It protects your rubber roof from the sun #2 It will help with the sounds of rain beating your roof #3 Help protect from any fallen or blown branches from harming your RV. Hi Lester - Dang it! I can’t believe I was late for the *deferralization* session with the new fella’s! You look to be coming along so well with them. You’re right though, time and patience, will be needed. They don’t know anything about love or being cared for, or being accepted in as part of anyone’s home, but they’ll slowly learn that through you and Jami. I agree your RV will look beautiful up on that concrete. I know it will still be a bit before you can move it and all, but I’m excited to see it when you two have it all set up in its new spot! I am so happy that the donkey's are finally being taken care of and learning slowly to trust humans and you are right it is going to be a slow process.
