- Lore: After the great escape from the mysterious creatures of Hypno Island, the upbeats have ventured across the world and nearby a familiar forest we all know known as Upbeat Island, there was a weird, bizarre colorful landmass called Shroom Island, home to very magical plants, sprouted from the weird, yellow liquid that flows around the landmass like a river. It is currently unknown whether this river is the waste of a larger creature or some other substance, but we do know it has weird glow-like properties, that seem to affect the air around it.

I’m gonna be completely honest I was not really expecting much from this island, yet somehow it turned out really well.
I really like the visuals and the way the monsters interact with each other throughout the song. The song wasn’t terrible but I’ve listened to so many predictions that I honestly don’t really care about it as much as I should.
So yeah in the end pretty good, certainly better than I was expecting so there’s that.
This is a reason I hate prediction videos, they make the song not feel as good as it should, because they've basically spoiled it. I avoid them at all costs.

Well actually SamYouWell was the VERY FIRST person to get me into the community through his Steampunk Island videos but Mantis was a close 2nd.
I love the mixture of artstyles to the backgrounds,all the rushed sketch’s,to the animations itself it have a neat feeling and not repetitive.Kind like TAWOG,good island overall and it was worth the wait

Yooo this was so good! I love the animation style in this so much and I see why this is took so long. I love all the little bits during the song and it really gives the monsters more character. The song is also super funky especially any part when vectiss is playing! I also love the small stuff you tweaked like some of the animations for the monsters or duckala's sound change. Overall I love this island and I'm glad we were able get a new from you since we haven't had one in a while!
Honestly, this island is basically a milestone for progress. The island sounds good, the designs are better, I'd say this is the best island I've seen in months! (I haven't watched much islands but I'd say this is the best) that's all

Finally, After a year of waiting, this song begins! But honestly Mantis this is one of the best songs you ever made. It bops so hard. Also the part where FUM scared Xiibuss at 0:43 is funny lol. Main problem is that I cant hear Gleemo the first time she plays. Also Xiibuss’s new animation is neat. He now makes the sound with his hands! But Vectiss carried the entire song. To be honest, this feels like a celebration of your channel, since upbeat island was your first. the feeling is VERY different from it's ancestor, but in a good way. Upbeat is, well, upbeat, being quite possibly one of the first fan made islands, acting as the gatekeeper of the fan content. This island though, has that feeling of a seasoned creator with more then enough years under his belt, with a theme fine tuned to those who passed the initiation. A tune that can only be found with patience and a clear mind. Your time you put into your music is awe inspiring, let us see if other's are in the same boat Mantis.

While the song is good, my biggest complaint is the redesigns. I gotta be honest, some of them are pretty bad. They just seem to simplified, exaggerated, and it completely ruins the old designs that we know and love.
