Yeah, those four hearts represent how many hurt notes I can afford to hit. But is there a visible health _bar_ anywhere in that song, where successfully hitting notes gives me more health and missing notes makes me lose health? Y'know, like all the other songs in the mod? And I'm glad you liked my idea of what was going on in Cataclysm. I wasn't too sure what was going on in it, either, but it felt like Nermal was being judged by Godfield, only to have his existence unmade in the end.
It seems not many know why Cryfield is. I got this from someone in a livestream, pretty sure the following os true: Cryfield is a Garfield that was kicked out by Jon, in which Jon went out to look for him but lightning struck his car and he crashed. And that "Gorefield" is just Garfield in so much guilt thinking everything is his fault he turns into that freakish abomination.
So Garfield felt so much grief that he mutated into that monster? I mean, if that's what happened, then I don't doubt it, but how exactly did Garfield do it? Did he have the ability to mutate into that creature all along and he just didn't know it, or was he actually Gorefield in disguise?
For the final part of the Sansfield week, that hulking form is Ultra Sansfield. The form takes inspiration from the Ultra Sans Fight fangame/animation. Looking back, the stuff in "Breaking Cat" wasn't all that bad, and given how close I was to beating the song with the mechanics on on my first try, I probably could've done it if I gave it enough time. But what you need to understand is that I don't have all the time in the world to record. I live in a family of 5, and the times that I record are the times where as many of them are out of the house as possible, so it's not all that often that I can record. If I recorded my videos while they were home, there'd be very audible background noise cutting into the video a LOT, especially since my family members shout from room to room sometimes. Having a constant clock on me like that while I record can make me more stressed out than I would be otherwise, especially if it's nearing the time of day where my family would get home. I like to make sure that it doesn't take me multiple days to record something, and if I tried to beat the Sansfield songs or the "Breaking Cat" song, it certainly would've taken me that long. Also, Sorry in advance if this comment was contributing to make that community post by the way (I’m just miserably trying to add some context to the funny cat bone guy from a undertale fangame)
Don't worry, it didn't contribute to that post, but I appreciate your concern. You're just providing context on stuff that was used in this very video, not asking me to make some other type of video, and I always like context if I don't understand stuff. So thank you for explaining. :) And BATIM being overrated... I mean, I can see where you're coming from, but I personally disagree. I really like the world that was created in the games (both BATIM and BATDR), with its twist of "something cute turned into something disturbing" - which, may I say, I just LOVE that twist being used in media. When done right, it can be SO incredible. Plus, there wasn't like 20+ AUs made about BATIM (unlike Undertale), so the vanilla experience still feels enjoyable and hasn't lost its charm. Not to mention that I don't see it getting as much praise as Undertale does; Undertale gets a TON of praise, even to this day, and by this point in time, its level of praise is feeling kind of ridiculous to me.
If you don't think it's that hard, then it's "deserved" in your opinion, not in fact. And "BIGotes" wasn't that difficult, honestly. With the last two Sanfield songs, there's notes you have to avoid _mixed in_ with notes that you have to hit, and there's a huge abundance of those types of notes. With "BIGotes", there's notes you have to avoid, but there's way less of them, and there's also health notes that come in. Taking that into consideration, it's much, much easier to beat "BIGotes" that it would be to beat the second two Sansfield songs. It's harder than the first Sansfield song, yes, just because that "Cat Patella" doesn't have any weird mechanics going on in it. But "Mondaylovania" and "Ultra-Field"? Those two would definitely be harder to beat than "BIGotes". At least for me, apparently. I guess your skillset and my skillset are talented in different forms of challenges.
It depends on what kinds of mechanics for me, really. To me, speed is less of a mechanic and more of just a feature (the scrolling notes) that's been increased. Notes that I have to avoid are like my Achilles Heel when it comes to FNF mods. When playing FNF, my mindset during the gameplay is "I see notes and I have to hit them". So notes that I'm required to miss don't slot in nicely with my mindset when playing. ^^;
@@Terrifyger I guess I can do all of that because I play fnf since 2020 + I beat a lot of Shaggy mods with one-shot arrows. And since I am a charter, I can just change the speed in files and don't worry about it. I can even use every finger on both hands to play 10-key.
@@staslk2819 Yeah, I know how to change the speed of the notes in the files as well, but if the note speed is all I have to worry about, then I don't intend on changing it (unless I'm actually struggling with it, but that's not often). Multiple keys are also something that I just cannot do. I've been able to handle 6 keys, but that's about it. If the spacebar is needing to be used as well, then that's too much for me for some reason.
Oh! Well, good for you, then. I used to like it, but now I just think it's kinda overrated, and I don't really care about it all that much. I like some of the characters, but that's about it.
@@TheActualNobi FNF is kinda overrated, yeah, but not moreso than _Undertale_ is. At least, not to me. The game's got immediate appeal from its very first version - nice colors to it, a very likeable artstyle, and of course the catchy music as well. It's no wonder why people liked it immediately.
@@Terrifyger I understand it opinions, but we can say the same about undertale, good pixel artstyle, awesome music, whole lore with parts of meta in it and stuff like that, thats why undertale became one of the most famous games worldwide
@@TheActualNobi I mean, it's pixel art, and that's really nothing new when it comes to video games. But yeah, the OST is pleasant, sure. Though granted, a lot of the music in the game carries whimsy, mystical, hopeful, inspiring vibes, and sometimes even gets close to being as happy-sounding as a piece of music in a Sonic game. With FNF mods about Undertale, the songs always seem to carry across these exact same vibes. And when it comes to FNF songs, those aren't the vibes that I actively seek. I prefer songs that carry the opposite vibes: dreadful, hopeless, apocalyptic, the kind of music you'd hear if you were going up against some kind of unstoppable threat with no chance of winning, but you're gonna try anyways. Songs with those vibes are powerful, intense, and have REALLY catchy rhythms, and they really get me pumped up. They always make me wanna bounce in my seat or bop my head to the music. In this VS Gorefield mod, the songs "Hi Jon" and "BIGotes" are the two best examples of that. Those two songs have the EXACT kind of tone in the music that I like to hear in FNF songs.

Where is BF on the cover?
What cover?
@@Terrifyger BF with scissors
@@QWHY-m9v Oh, that's not BF. That's me, Terrifyger. I always put myself in the thumbnails of my FNF videos.
@@Terrifyger I see thⅹ this so cool
wow
Cryfield turn to gore field of this sorrows and that’s not nermal it’s Arlene
No, Arlene has a longer neck and no stripes. That there's Nermal. The chromatic scale used for him was even labeled as "Nermal Scale".

37:23 deserved. I don't think that it's that hard. BIGotes was WAY harder then all of sans songs.
@@Terrifyger Yeh. I beat BIGotes in 3 tries and the rest of the mod first try. I used to mechanics, not speed.
It depends on what kinds of mechanics for me, really. To me, speed is less of a mechanic and more of just a feature (the scrolling notes) that's been increased. Notes that I have to avoid are like my Achilles Heel when it comes to FNF mods. When playing FNF, my mindset during the gameplay is "I see notes and I have to hit them". So notes that I'm required to miss don't slot in nicely with my mindset when playing. ^^;
If the spacebar is needing to be used as well, then that's too much for me for some reason.
i never liked under tale
Oh! Well, good for you, then. I used to like it, but now I just think it's kinda overrated, and I don't really care about it all that much. I like some of the characters, but that's about it.
@@Terrifygerhonestly, lets be real that fnf is much more overrated than undertale, also fnf's hype and popularity peak was CRAZY
