My grandad was born just after world war 1 in 1920s. Sadly didn’t make it this far, neither did my dad who was born just after world war 2 and would have been in his 80s now.
The 95 year old woman reminds me of my great grandmother. She died when I was really young, at 99, but she looks and sounds almost exactly how I remembered her.
My great grandma (mom's side) also died when I was young. She died in July 2014 at age 89, when I was 4, turning 5 at the time. May her soul rest in peace🙏🕊
This is shorter than we think. You never know when it could end. That's why the people in their 50s sounded so happy. I see it as an accomplishment to get to that age. My mum passed away when she was 39. Her passing always makes me think about how I need to keep doing things that make me happy
it's interesting that even though that's when most people go through their midlife crisis, the people in this video all seem so happy and proud to be who they are (interesting in a good way tho, it's super heart warming)
And to think that a 101 year old lady is still walking down the streets alone is impressive for someone of that age. I wonder if she and the 100 year old lady received a letter from the queen.
My late gran who we lost in August aged 100 knew her best friend since she was in her 20s. Esther is still with us. She's 109 in June and as bright as a button. An inspirational lady who I love dearly.
As a Brit myself, I’m starting to notice that us Brits age really fast in our 50s and 60s, stagnate in our 70s, age incredibly fast in our 80s and de age in our 90s. Ik it’s true because of my great great auntie Eileen god bless her soul. She died at 97 in 2020 after a few bad falls. I wish I knew her more because I only knew her from like 94/95 onwards. I’m 13 btw. She just seemed to get younger as time went on, until around the time she passed. She had a bad fall in December 2019, 4 days before Christmas. She had fallen in her living room and couldn’t get up. She fell asleep on the carpet and wasn’t found until the morning by her next door neighbour. Went to hospital, doctors said she’d be out by the 24th, wasn’t out until February instead. With the help of some physiotherapists and family members she slowly recovered through 2020. Then it all went downhill so quick. In early October she fell again after getting a bit too confident by walking without her support structure thingy. She went to hospital again and her health immediately started deteriorating very fast. She was gone by the end of October. Me, my sister and my mum visited her less than 20 hours before her passing. We got the call from the care home while in the car on the way to the shop… me, my sister, my mum and my Nan were all in the car. I coped with it quite well, my sister cried, my mum and Nan were inconsolable for hours. Her funeral was that November and ofc I still miss her. I’ll just never understand how she lost like 30% of her weight in under a month (already pretty skinny) and just deteriorated that fast. I guess it’s just because she was old but if there is a proper reason for this then please share with me. Idk why I’m telling this story. I guess the video just reminded me of her.
Is it just me or did I notice the kids were happy, then the teenagers weren’t, but once it started dipping into the adult range they started getting happier? Or is that just my imagination 😂
Being a teen is hard. You lose your childhood carefree freedom and learn you have responsibilities and pressures in order to make your life work out rather than just being cared for and adored. 😋 It’s an adjustment period that lasts until you “figure life out” whatever that means for the individual.
