I don't think you have anything to worry about in regards to War Thunder bringing in planes like the XP-77, mostly because the version in WoWP bears no resemblance to the actual aircraft, other than the looks and the name. The real XP-77 was a disaster. Forgetting bits that don't affect gameplay (like the engine unreliability, short range, the weak undercarriage, and the plane was annoyingly noisy in flight) the plane was all weaknesses and no strengths. It was slow (how slow? The top speed was 330 mph...the contemporary Mustang was more than 100 mph faster), poor climb rate, would have low hit points (made of wood), and only 2x .5 cal. mgs for weaponry (the 20 mm Hispano was removed from the design in 1941, before it was even approved). The engine didn't have a supercharger so it would be confined to lower altitudes. The plane was also unstable, with vibration problems from a poorly-mounted engine, a severe aileron flutter at various speeds, and was difficult to regain control in a spin (which destroyed one of the prototypes). The P-40 was superior to it in every way...and it first flew six years earlier.
